Although Frederick's words were scalding and his aura was powerful, the True Goddess smirked with derision when she heard his words. She looked at him with a gaze that questioned his sanity while asking,"Where is it that mortals get their confidence from?"The light in the eyes of Frederick's armoured giant flashed coldly as he spurred it to move.*Rumble*With a loud roar Frederick leapt towards the True Goddess. His large sword was raised high ominously, and any man would have been terrified by the sight. Unfortunately, the one he faced was no man. This was a Goddess who had been alive since the inception of the True Universe. Fear was an emotion she hadn't felt in ages. The True Goddess regarded the approaching Frederick coolly. Her aura was as stable as rock, and her steely gaze told of her calm in this situation."Foolish," the True Goddess parted her lips and declared. She didn't retreat, neither did she take a single step back. If her servant was not one to retreat, then she w
In the skies of Zandor, concealed by the clouds so blue, was a small star shaped satellite. The satellite floated freely through several clouds, it's form appearing and disappearing between the fluffy wonders that somehow birthed rain. Several birds - large and small; great and common - flew past the satellites. Some delayed their flight to examine the strange creation; for they had never seen such a 'creature' before. Some knocked against the strange device in a bid to understand it, and when it didn't knock back they understood it wasn't living like they were. The more intelligent birds wondered how this thing could be floating within the clouds without wings, for these were ordinary creatures that understood little of the world of wielding. They knew not that there was something called Edict that could make the improbable probable. The satellite had been a site of attraction for many birds over the past few weeks, and a few daring birds had gone ahead to create nests on the stable
"Is it over?" Selina growled. Her veins were popping out of her temple, indicating that she was close to her limits. Her reddened eyes were filled with little pools of blood as she tried her hardest to maintain her Berserk State. She needed to know that the job was done before letting go."It should be," Frederick stated with some doubt. However, when he looked over to the cloud of smoke that obscured his vision, his expression softened into a more confident one. Babylonia was a weapon that Frederick had created under the guidance of Butler Fin and Indra. By measuring the incredible durability and strength that those two gods possessed, Frederick had crafted a weapon made specifically for destroying the bodily husks of gods!Frederick had sought to make something that could threaten even the gods. He might not be a scholar, and he definitely didn't have the means to kill a god without crushing his Godhead, but he could make a weapon with such strong energy that even a god would not su
The True Goddess held on to Selina's neck with very little pity in her eyes. Her grip was like a powerful vice, and no matter how hard Selina tried, she could not break away. The True Goddess's disregard of her abilities was striking; and this could be revealed in the fact that the proud goddess hadn't bothered to strip Selina off the hold of her spear! That showed just what the True Goddess thought of her opponent. Her message was so clear that it need not be said: "Even with that in your hand, you pose no threat to me!"This was a great insult to any warrior. This was enough to break the pride of any man. However, Selina was no man. She was a woman who was facing a deity much stronger than herself. Being able to stand up to the True Goddess for as long as she had was enough of an achievement, much less doing so at her young age. This wouldn't be enought to shame her. She held her head high as countless thoughts run through her mind. Selina gripped her spear tightly as a ruthless l
Frederick watched as the True Goddess slowly squeezed Selina's fragile neck, intent on breaking her in half. The pressure that the vile goddess had placed on him had been relieved somewhat, for the heartless woman who called herself an ancient goddess had taken the pressure off of Frederick's neck just so that he could lift his head and see what she was doing to Selina. Frederick's eyes were red within the large helmet that he wore. He understood why the True Goddess was doing what she was. It seemed that the ancient goddess hadn't forgotten about Babylonia's attack. The True Goddess was now trying her best to hurt him, and she had found the best way to do it too. She may not be informed of the relationship that the two - Frederick and Selina - shared, but she had found his weakness anyway. The boy watched helplessly as the body part which carried the noble head of his girlfriend was put under stress that was best described as 'godly'.Frederick felt despair, just like the True Godde
As much as Frederick wanted to deny what had been shown him, he could not. His heart said no, but his mind screamed yes; for in the image presented, he could see the Red Potions scattered around the three. They hadn't even had the chance to consume the potions before they had been ambushed!"They are still alive, but barely," the True Goddess stated and the mist mirror dispersed, but not before Frederick noticed the slight heaving of their chests, suggesting that the True Goddess was indeed right when she said they were alive."Y...ou are....a...m...on...ster" Frederick squeezed out, trying hard to reject the image he had seen, but to no avail. And it was likely he wouldn't be forgettig it anytime soon - no matter what happened."Perhaps, but I am the monster holding your loved one captive," the True Goddess's vile character proved to be an endless pool of insufferable disgust. Her eyes flashed with happiness as she tightened her hold on Selina once again, forcing Selina to struggle t
"Impossible," the True Goddess stammered as she struggled to find her footing. She formed a large energy shield in one hand to keep the strong winds away from her, and summoned another in the shape of a sword to anchor her to the ground as Frederick's power revealed itself to the world."How can he have this much power? Why does he have he power of a god?!" the True Goddess was dismayed by the degree of Edict that had descended into the Promised Land. Her Domain's power was cut apart immediately this power was summoned, proving that Frederick was either on par with her, or stronger than her! This wasn't the power of a man; this was the power of a god!*Scree*The World Will of Zandor revealed itself as a flaming bird that covered the sky and obscured the clouds. With a loud cry and a flap of its wings the world lit up brightly, engulfed in the protective warmth of the Zandorian World Will. The flaming bird looked down below, it's gaze intersecting with Frederick's. It gave an excited
"Hephaestus?" Frederick repeated the unfamiliar name; yet his heart warmed when he mentioned this strange name. For some reason his soul was greatly uplifted by the name, and his heart grew increasingly at peace. However, that peace didn't last for long. The memories of Selina's broken body floating in the air came rushing back, haunting all the good emotions the name "Hephaestus" had brought."Is that a name I once possessed?" Frederick wondered. His eyes flashed with many unfamiliar memories that tried to take his Zandorian identity away from him; however, Frederick refused to be swayed."No wonder...no wonder...it's no wonder it left," the True Goddess looked a broken figure - inside and out. Her eyes flitted about and her arms remained to her side. She had stopped all attempts to remove the sharpened spear that kept her grounded to the soil beneath her back; well, it was more like she had subconsciously given up escaping. She kept mumbling to herself like a woman whose mind had be
