Back on the battlefield, Mane was looking at the two warriors of the Citadel left - Dragon King Bast and Elder Hanuman. Although there were only two remaining, Mane could not feel any relief. Rather, now that the others were not here, a strong sense of unease washed over his heart; it was especially so with the one called Hanuman. The sense of crisis the man gave him was so strong that Mane didn’t even bother to admire the large chasm he had created; neither did he pay attention to Elder Wind who had been buried several meters within that chasm. All that was on his mind were his two opponents.“Are you finally awake?” Dragon King Bast turned to Elder Hanuman and asked. His question was a bit startling since Elder Hanuman had been with him all this while. The man had been awake since the moment he tried to rope Mane into his plot till now. So why was the Dragon Lord asking such a strange question?“Hehe. I am. The Dragon Blade made sure of that.” Elder Hanuman smiled bitterly and said.

The previously beaten elders landed in front of Mane with their killing intent focused on the young Supreme. Each of them looked different, suggesting that they had indeed resorted to using their trump cards, not that Mane was complaining. Elder Cafu had transformed into a humanoid creature covered all over in white scales that gleamed brightly under the baptism of the sun. His head was covered by a helmet that was as white as wool but harder than steel. In his hands was a large cleaver that was made out of the very same scales that covered his body, and strapped to his waist was a gourd that Mane sensed was filled with water, not wine. “Does it have to do with his ability, Child of Water?” Mane wondered before taking in the changes of the others. “He took care of him in just an attack?” Dragon King Bast frowned and said. Elder Hanuman who was floating above the battlefield also had a frown on his face. “Was that the Time Attribute?” he wondered. He who was an expert of unknown origins was able to recognize the power that Mane employed right before he struck Elder Minas. After all, Elder Minas in his Minotaur form was a great threat. It shouldn’t have been that easy to deal with him. Besides, Elder Hanuman was able to see Elder Minas’s momentary loss in strength. It was almost as if Edict had abandoned him; as though time had been disrupted.“Indeed, he has more cards in the deck than his strength suggests,” Elder Hanuman mumbled. Since his days at the Wielder Academy in Zandor, Mane had been good at manipulating water and earth. However, his understanding of fire was just below those two. When it came to using fire as the destructive element that it was, Mane was a pro. In that regard, there were few that could contend with him; however when it came to applying the laws of fire in a more docile way, Mane could not find much to boast in. So during those two weeks that Night Mare and Night’s Kiss were getting their upgrade, Mane had put himself to work. Elder Wind coughed up some blood from the impact of the strikes; however, he didn’t fall nor did he lose his fighting spirit. His eyes shone brightly as the murderous intent in them ballooned into a powerful force. Without paying attention to the Fire Golem behind him, he gathered all his strength and formed a wind gauntlet around his arm. With his senses Mane could tell that the wind gauntlet was made of volatile wind elements and could disperse at any moment. This attack was one meant to explode upon contact!“He wants to take one down before even if he is to fall!” Mane realized.
