Two weeks have flown by since I found out that I could dream walk and about being destined mates with Rainn. We let Malik out of the cell, and he explained who was after the guys. They have made a lot of enemies being hunters for so long, but now they have found themselves in the crosshairs of a demon lord by the name of Beherit. According to Malik, Beherit is a storm demon who Rainn and Liam had a kill order on his second in command and brother Apollyon.

He said that after they killed him Beherit went crazy and has been plotting his revenge ever since. They knew who he meant immediately, and we have been training hard every day since. Three days ago, we had a visit from Jamison, who is the weapons specialist for the Vindicta. Rainn thought it would be a good idea for me to choose my specialty weapon. He told me to choose wisely and that I would know when I held it.

    Adalyn All that's around me is darkness. I tried to open my eyes, but I felt so weak. I needed to get back to Rainn, that was the only thought running through my head. I mustered all the strength I could and finally pushed my eyes open. The room was dark and at first it didn't look like anyone was in here. I tried to adjust myself on the bed, "Rainn?", I called weakly. My throat was scratchy and even whispering hurt. I heard movement from across the room and a figure came running over to me. "Adalyn, are you truly awake? Rainn's going to be so happy." "Liam, where is Rainn and what happened?" "I think it would be better if you heard it from him but let me get you some water and I will get him." He went into the bathroom and brought me a glass of water which I drank in two gulps.     Adalyn When I woke up, I swung my hand over to Rainns side. He was not there, and the bed was only slightly warm. I figured he was downstairs making breakfast for us, so I headed into the bathroom, did my business and got dressed for the day. I headed for the stairs when I heard a female's laugh echo through the downstairs, and I froze. I snuck down the stairs and rounded the corner, staying out of sight and hoping that Liam had brought someone over. Once I got closer and started hearing the conversation my heart squeezed painfully. "Why won't you let me go upstairs Rainn?", the woman said teasingly. He smirked and looked down at the woman, "I didn't say you couldn't go upstairs, I said that you needed to away from my wing."     Rainn "It's Malik." As soon as those words came out of my mouth Adalyn lost it. I threw the car in reverse and peeled out of the parking lot, heading home as fast as I could.     Adalyn Everyone was shocked at Liam's outburst. Mercer stepped forward. He was 6'3 all muscle with pale skin, black hair, and hazel eyes with just a tinge of red.     Adalyn I was so confused about what was going on, "Wait who's coming?" Rainn had a deadly look on his face, "Beherit and his demons and they aren't coming for tea." I straightened my back, I was scared to death, but I wouldn't let it show, not in front of everyone. Rainn started barking orders at everyone to make sure all the defenses were up and running and for everyone to meet in the War Room in forty-five minutes. He then grabbed my hand and took me back into the house, up the stairs, and into our room. "This may not be ideal timing, but I need you right now", he said. He started stripping my workout clothes off and tracing his fingers down my arms and onto my stomach. "Shouldn't we be helping them?"     TRIGGER WARNING Tabby All I see and feel is darkness. I have no idea how long I've been here. I remember leaving the bar and not feeling very good, but after that, nothing until I came to. The one man that I never wanted to see again was in front of me when I first opened my eyes. My ankle is chained, and, in the beginning, I could move around, but now I'm barely awake.
