I looked back and Ryan and Evan were trying to fight their way through the crowd, but they were trying to fight their way through the crowd.

This guy was dragging me towards a side exit. So I grabbed onto a pole that was near the exit and he was pulled to a sudden stop.

When he saw that I had a hold of the bar, he tried to pry my hands off of it but I threw my head back and headbutted him.

His grip loosened but it didn’t let go of me, so I used my tall sharp heel and I slammed it down onto his foot and I managed to wriggle out of his grasp.

He stood up straight again and tried to grab me again when I punched him in the throat and he fell backwards as I grabbed a beer bottle and I smashed it over his head.

Ryan and Evan finally got to me and Ryan grabbed the guy by the collar and forced him outside that side door and Evan grabbed a hold of me to check me over.

“Are you alright? Did he hurt you?” Evan asked.

“No. He didn’t even throw a punch.” I said, confused.

I was about to follow Ryan out the side door when I heard everyone in the club go really quiet.

“Amberly.” A booming voice sounded and I froze exactly where I was.

The crowd moved aside as he approached me and I slowly turned to look at him and all the warriors that he brought with him.

It’s no wonder people were looking pretty scared. Werewolves are known to be a lot taller than humans and with a lot more muscles.

“Hi dad.” I said, sheepishly.

He looked furious and he grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the club and ordered all of my friends to follow.

Ryan was out the front and met up with us there.

Dad looked a little disappointed in him as well. He was also told to stay close to home but he didn’t listen.

“She’s coming home with me. She’ll see you tomorrow.” Dad said to Ryan and he nodded his head.

Dad forced me into the car and Evan got in the backseat with me.

We started speeding down the highway until we got to the pack and we went inside.

Mom was awake and she ran over and hugged me. Dad had mindlinked her and told her that someone tried to kidnap me. But my training obviously paid off. And Ryan was there to finish him off.

Dad dragged me to my room and he opened my wardrobe and he started going through my clothes.

He picked out a couple of items and threw them on the bed.

“Put them on.” He demanded.

“What are we doing?” I asked.

“You went clubbing tonight which meant you weren’t planning on sleeping tonight. Just because you’re home now doesn’t mean you’re going to be sleeping. Now put them on and meet me out the front. You’ve got five minutes.” He yelled.

So I took the dress off and I got dressed into a black and purple sports top, matching tights, socks and sand shoes.

I went out the front to where dad was waiting for me and I followed him into the forest.

I was starting to get a little worried, but when we stopped at the most advanced obstacle course that they used for experienced warriors and the course that trainees had to complete in order to become a warrior, my stomach dropped.

“How many laps do you want?” I asked.

“Until I say stop.” He said.

So he sat on a fallen tree branch and I jumped around a bit and got ready for the task before I ran up to the obstacle course and went from beginning to end and then back again. But that wasn’t good enough. He told me to go again.

I ended up doing that until dawn and then I saw Evan show up and dad stood up when I got back to them.

“Alright. Morning jog and then I’ll see you back at the house.” Dad said, turning away and walking back towards our house.

Evan looked at me with pity but I pushed him out of the way and started jogging our usual path.

I didn’t stop or slow down or anything. I went at the same speed that I always did, no matter how exhausted I was. And Evan knew that I was completely fucked right now. I needed to sit down. I needed a drink. I needed to lie down. But none of that was going to happen.

When we got back to the house and as soon as I walked inside I didn’t say anything to mom or dad.

I went straight for the bathroom and I got in the shower and let the hot water soak my sore muscles.

“I’m sorry Amberly. I tried to help as much as possible last night.” Ember said.

“I know you did. Don’t worry about it.”

“He had you doing the advanced obstacle for five hours. How are you not pissed right now?”

“Too tired to give a shit.”

When I got out of the shower I wrapped a towel around myself and I went to my room and got dressed.

I ate breakfast with the rest of the family but I didn’t say a single word to anyone.

I know that I did the wrong thing last night, but no one seems to be addressing the fact that someone tried to kidnap me.

That doesn’t even seem to register with dad right now. He’s just pissed because I snuck out and he had to punish me all night.

And he only did that because he found out the hard way that grounding me doesn’t work. So he’s had to come up with more inventive ways to punish me.

As soon as I got to school Ryan walked over to me and Evan didn’t say anything.

Ryan cupped my face in his hands, looking really concerned.

“What the hell did he do to you?” Ryan asked.

“Don’t ask.” I said.

“He’s worse with punishments than my dad is.” Ryan said. And I nodded my head.

Evan walked over to his girlfriend which I was grateful for because Ryan and I were alone.

“Did you get anything out of that guy last night? Did he say why he tried to take me?” I asked.

“No. I’m sorry. I was so pissed I didn’t even ask him any questions.” Ryan said.

I nodded my head but I was a little disappointed. I wish I knew who he was and why he tried to take me.

Ryan tried to help me get through the day the best he could, but I still had training that afternoon and I had to train the younger kids afterwards.

When I got back to the house I put my stuff in my room and Mom, Evan and I sat down to eat dinner together.

Dad wasn’t home again. Which I didn’t really care about at the moment.

After dinner I got ready for bed and I sat in my room trying to do my homework but I couldn’t really concentrate that much.

Not long after I went in there someone knocked on the door.

“What?” I asked. So the door opened and dad was standing there.

“Can I come in?” He asked.

“It’s your house. You can do whatever you want.” I said, turning my back to him.

He walked into my room and closed the door and he sat on my bed while I was sitting at my desk.

“Can you please turn around and look at me?” He asked. So I let out a sigh of exasperation and I turned to look at him.

“What do you want?” I asked.

“I’m sorry about last night. But I needed to punish you severely so you would get the idea.” He said.

“What are you talking about? What idea?” I asked.

“So you would know that we’re not joking when we tell you to stay close and not leave the pack. Don’t go beyond the border.”

“We’re teenagers, dad. Do you really think those vague warnings mean shit to us?” I asked.

“I guess not. You were almost kidnapped last night. So, I have permission to tell you what I am about to tell you. But that’s it and you’re not allowed to repeat it to anyone.” He said.

He suddenly had my interest and I leaned forward a little on my seat.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

“The pack is being watched. We’re not too sure why. At least I’m not. I’m not sure if the Alpha does. But I don’t know why. They are watching our every move and they obviously decided to act when they saw you guys leave last night.” He said.

“Who?”

“Alpha Jack Cameron.” He said.

“The Devil.” I gasped.

As I sat there trying to register what dad just told me, a lot of questions started popping into my head. Dad looked pretty upset right now and I didn’t really blame him. If he and the Alpha have been trying to work out why that pack was watching ours, I would be pretty edgy too. “Why the hell would he be watching us? We haven’t done anything to him, have we? I can’t imagine our Alpha would be that stupid. He’s called the Devil for a reason. And why the hell would he want to kidnap me? The Alpha’s son was right there.” I said in a complete word vomit. I couldn’t help it. I had all these questions and they just started spilling out and there was nothing I could do to stop them. My mind was telling me to calm down, but my mouth just kept moving. “Amberly. I can’t tell you any more than what I’ve already told you. And you can’t tell anyone else.” Dad insisted. My whole head was reeling. I know that it was horrible of me to say that the Alpha’s son was right there, but that made more

As the shock was finally starting to wear off, I looked at Ryan who looked really concerned about me now that I knew the truth. “That doesn’t make any sense. How does he even know that I exist? • Hunted By The Devil   CHAPTER 1

Trying to keep a low profile in a wolf pack is really hard for almost everyone. But when you’re considered a medical marvel, then it’s even harder. That’s me and my twin brother. Contrary to what a lot of people think, multiple births are really rare with werewolves. We don’t breed lots of litters when we get pregnant. It’s usually only one baby. But we got lucky and my brother and I are twins and we get along really well for a couple of 17 year olds. It’s almost probably got something to do with our father being the head warrior of the pack as well. He got that title when he was only 28 years old and he’s held it for all these years. And I really don’t think anyone will be taking that title away from him anytime soon. And if anyone tries, he’s going to nominate either myself or my brother. That’s why he works us so hard. Just like this morning for example. I mean, it’s only just dawn and we’ve already jogged half way around the pack territory already. “So Amberly, got any pl
