Jane and Marcus had switched back to their professional selves by the time they stepped down from Car.Jane wondered how Marcus seemed to know when to be formal in one minute and informal the next minute. Before the car pulled into the company's building, Marcus seemed to have forgotten she was his Boss. He was leaning so close to her they were breathing the same air. He had his ridiculous wide grin and even though he was telling her important things, Jane could not help being distracted by his closeness. Twice he had had to tap her to be sure she was listening."I am trying to prep talk you so those nosey workers in that office don't frustrate you but you are not paying attention." He had grumbled.She didn't notice when they drove into the building until she noticed Marcus' posture shift to being professional. She groaned softly and did the same. Marcus came down first and then opened the door for her."You do not have to do that." She whispered to him.Marcus gave a reluctant smirk.

By 8:00 in the evening, Jane had all the evidence she will need to win against whatever accusations Mr. Robert might bring her way. She and Marcus meticulously went through the iPad. They got access to messages between Suzan and Mr. Robert, Mr. Robert planned to eliminate Emilia because she was getting too nosey, and plans to do the same with Jane if she didn’t back off soon, and also Marcus. Huge amounts of money are shared between Mr. Robert and Suzan, and the plan is to blame it on the account who was arrested a few days after Emilia was stabbed. Apparently, the party was thrown so Jane could feel satisfied and stop trying to frustrate their plane. The security camera’s tape was enough to clarify that Jane did not poison Suzan. And as a bonus, Emilia had videos of Mr. Robert physically abusing his wife—the woman Jane had run into some time back.The night was perfect and Jane suggested she and Marcus celebrate. Jane was starting to get restless waiting for Marcus. Since they became a thing they spend most of their time together. They spent the day pretending their relationship was nothing more than a Boss-Bodyguard relationship. They spend the night talking. Jane used to fear they would one day run out of things to talk about but each night when they say their good nights she had more questions.She sighed. Marcus was on his evening rituals which she deem unnecessary. She tried meditation but couldn't think past Marcus. She sighed again and checked the time. She then decided to call Sophia. Her friendship with Sophia had been strained lately and it was mostly her fault. Since the last time Sophia called she hadn't had time to call her back mostly because she was spending most of her time with Marcus.On the fourth ring, Sophia's voicemail picked up.
