PRINCE BAIN’S POV

I was so pissed at the way she exploded right in my face and returned to the palace with immediate effect. She just made an issue out of nothing. Nobody would have questioned us if we decided to cut through the ridiculous line and just play the fucking game so why was she so adamant and bent on staying in the long queue.

“Get this thing out of my face!” I growled at my attendant as soon as my eyes landed on the gift she sent to me. It was still on the table where I had left it.

With immediate effect, the terrified attendant got rid of the sword and placed it where I wouldn’t see it. I took my bath and tried to do other things in order to get the issue off my mind since it was getting me madder by the second but nothing was working.

“You must have hurt her real bad, she has never burst out in your face like that” Leo grumbled from within and my forehead folded into a frown

I sprang up from the bed and assumed the sitting position in order to counter his claim. I could

We got to the palace and the Prince was sitting in one of the pavilions so I decided to walk Remy there before leaving for my own quarters.“Wow! It must feel good to be engaged. You are now following each other everywhere” was the first thing he uttered as we got to him and I scoffedI knew yesterday was just somehow, he was just trying to buy my mercy after making me worked up. What an asshole!“I called you here because I am so bored and I have no one to play with. Will you mind joining me?” Prince Bain said to Remy, pointing to the board game that was already set out on the tableRemy knew he had no choice than to just play the game since the Prince didn’t even give him the option to decline.“I will not go easy on you” he stated firmly and Prince Bain approved of it.They started the game and in the first few minutes, the Prince was having the upper hand and I was so annoyed because he didn’t shut up about his wins, he kept blabbering about how he had played the game since he was

That very night, I had another dream of someone threatening to kill me because I was in her rightful position but as we both argued and wrestled with each other, I ended up stabbing the person and laughed hysterically as I held unto the blood dripping her blood.“I will never let you have this place no matter how much you try so don’t bother to come back. Just die” I screamed at the dead body lying in front of meI didn’t know why tears were dropping down my cheeks even though I was laughing and I woke up that instant because Lacey kept shaking me with a worried voice.“My Princess, are you okay? You are sweating profusely and groaning in your dreams” she called out with a worried voice and I was forced to sit upI was covered with both tears and sweat, my throat was so hot that I could barely breathe well. I kept gasping for breath and Lacey who was confused about what was wrong with me rushed to bring me a cup of water which I gulped down in seconds. Immediately I discovered that th

PRINCE BAIN’S POVI actually never had any problem with Remy ever since we were kids but I didn’t like the fact that he was always pretending around me. Remy was a genius no one could compete with and that was okay. The fact that I was the Prince doesn’t mean I should be the best at everything but he got the wrong idea and started pretending around me.He gave me multiple chances to win whenever we played games, he would pretend not to understand a teaching until I grasp it on my own end. Even in sword and fist training, he would always pretend to be weak.I spent so many years thinking I was so much better and would even brag about it in his face not knowing that he was just letting me have my way. I was on my way to his house that very day when I walked into him and his father discussing.“Why do you keep pretending? It’s not a sin to be good” the father was scolding him sternly“He will be the Alpha and I will have to stay by his side as the Beta. I shouldn’t be proving to him that

REMY’S POVThat was the first time I would ever have a heart to heart conversation with the Prince ever since he suddenly changed towards me while we were growing up. Our relationship had a certain unexplainable boundary but we both didn’t talk about it and left it that way causing us to walk around each other on eggshells.Freya did well in bonding us once again even though she didn’t know the origin of our fight but she could see the tension between us and fixed it without much drama. I thought about going home after the horse riding session but decided to check up on her since I was already in the palace.I found her lying hot in bed and I couldn’t believe what she was saying about her seeing the Princess during the night. No matter how she explained it, it just didn’t seems possible or made any sense.“How? Where? How is that even possible?” I questioned and but she just went silent for a bit“She came into this chamber in the midnight and we had a talk. She told me what I needed

FREYA’S POVAfter sleeping throughout the day, I woke up refreshed and sound as if I never fought with sickness through the night. I released a loud yawn as I walked to the table with a demand for my food to be delivered in large portions because I was terribly hungry.Everything that was brought got gobbled down by me in a flash, and that left my maids wondering if something went wrong during the sleep because I would normally not eat that way.“That was refreshing” Bea sighed happily and a tiny smile crossed my face. She had been quiet for a while so I thought she was expressing her displeasure through silent treatment or so.“I thought you were angry about something. You haven’t talked to me for days” I whined“Wolves also need to rest, think and energize themselves. I just didn’t have anything to talk about” she responded calmly and my head shook along with her words in agreement“So are you back from doing all those things now?” I pressed further“Well, who knows? I might still

The clanking of metals jingling against each other became clearer as the heavy footsteps approached the camp where the Prince and Uncle Anson were staying at the borders. Prince Bain recently came back after spending some days in the palace. He volunteered to join the troops as part of the volunteer service for the pack so he had to move to the border where he would stay for four days and go back to spend the remaining three days at the palace.Uncle Anson was nice enough to put him through every rules and things he needed to know for smooth and efficient operations at the border and being the smart person he was, he was able to grasp them in a very short period.“I think the spies we sent are back to the camp. We need to welcome them” Uncle Anson informed him and he bounced out of the bed with immediate effect. He had patrolled all night due to the threats of the other side of the packs trying to attack them any given time so they couldn’t risk being layback or not prepared enough. I also started taking some lessons about the pack and the palace etiquettes too so I wasn’t idle. I postponed the training session till he would be done with his exams. I didn’t want to serve as a disturbance even though he wouldn’t count it as one but I couldn’t hold it anymore one day and went to visit him in the library. I had taken my time to make him the honey biscuit snacks that he said was his favorite and marched to the library on the last day of his preparation. He was to take the exams the following day outside the pack where his teachers would be examining him in different aspects. “Hey!” I called out to him and waved with a big smile at the library’s door One could tell from his face that suddenly brightened up that he was so happy to see me “How is it going? Are you getting the hang of it?” I asked and walked in “I am trying my best” he sighed. “Did I love Julia truly?” he asked again and I kept my gaze, waiting for his answer“I did love her but I wouldn’t say as much as I love you. When we were mated, I told her that I wouldn’t do it since I couldn’t feel the attraction even though we were mates and she told me to just pretend. She said she didn’t mind all the love and all that as long as I can protect her and also help her out in her missions. Since I didn’t hate her too, I just accepted and we had no problem. I did all she asked for and I never pressured her, I waited by her side for five years to see her decision which she recently made by rejecting me” he answered without breaking the gaze lock we hadA sigh dropped from me at what he said and I stepped back. For months, I wasn’t allowed to step out of the house without adequate protection. My dramatic parents even hired guards to follow me out anytime I had to something outside the house. At the end of the fifth month, I had to fight them about it and told them that I was strong enough to defend myself and they eventually withdrew the guards. That afternoon, I was in the house knitting in my free time when the door to my room opened“I have to deliver some sweaters but I am tired right now. I will take them there in the evening” My mother said to me as she came inside my room to check up on me since I was there all day“Give them to me. I will deliver them on your behalf” I proposedShe was excited at my offer, it was the reason why she was there obviously. She wanted me to go out on her behalf but didn’t want to tell me directly. I didn’t know what to say at first so I just continued staring at her till she spoke up.“Was the life in the palace bearable? It must not have been easy to pretend that you were the Princess” she finally askedI nodded my head twice, softly and responded. “It was a bit bearable. The doctor’s report gave me the pass I needed” “The doctor’s pass?” her brows curved in confusion“Yea. I woke up to get a report that I had lost my memories even though they were intact” I confirmed and a smile flashed through her lips“Doctor Dax haven’t stopped jumping into conclusions” she murmured but it was loud enough for me to hear“So I heard that you insisted on going back to your pack” she added and I confirmedA little time of silence followed as we both stared at each other without saying a word.“Why don’t you stay though? The palace is wide enough to contain us” she proposed but I only laughed and shook my head“I would have loved to do that but my place is not here. It would be awkward to sta

Uncle Anson found out from one of the soldiers that saw the Prince walking to the flower field and knew that he might have seen the vampire sucking the lad he captured for him. Immediately, he got in contact with the vampires’ side and told them that they have to strike unannounced because the Prince was already catching up on them. They had waited for the Prince to come back to the border and entered the pack unnoticed through the help of Uncle Anson who was in charge of the border. Unknown to them, the other side also had their plans ready so they weren’t caught unprepared. He had wanted to take over the pack with the help of the humans so he sold the captured wolves from other packs to the human world by letting them by through their own packs as a route for years and got money in return. The minister in the human world couldn’t help him since wolves were thousand times stronger than the humans but connected him with the vampire world who could help him out.Over the years, he had

JULIA’S POVEver since the day I told Freya about the plans of the vampire and what the minister said before we brought him to justice alongside the café owner that was involved in the wolfs trafficking, I started making plans about how to go back home. Two days after, Oneiros suddenly woke up in the midnight and told me that we needed to move the following morning because she could see ruins and danger on my pack. We were not prepared to leave yet but we had no choice to be on our way and there was no enough time to alert Freya.“I just hope that they are preparing hard over there” I sighed as I grabbed unto the small bag and slung it over my shoulder while I took Onieros by the hand“I know a shortcut to the werewolves’ packs. I am sure that we can find your pack easily when we get to one” Giles stated and I noddedI only planned for him to give me the directions and go back home since that meant our assignments with each other was done. We got to the last stop before my pack and we

FREYA’S POVI finally remembered that I had seen the currency from Uncle Anson and raced back to the library to tell Remy that I had found the place I saw it and told him where. He couldn’t process the reason why he would have it and tried to give excuses that it might have been a souvenir he received from the passing human merchants at the border but I was not convinced. It was too many to be tagged as a souvenir and I was sure there was something else fishy going on. He had too much pointing at him to be pure.“I think we need to include the Prince at this time. He needs to know what’s happening in the pack so we can all prepare” I suggested to Remy who in turn told me to calm down and find a solid evidence before taking a step since it involves the Alpha’s uncle“You know Julia also told me about the vampire plan. We have to alert the appropriate quarters as soon as possible. This fight cannot be won if fought silently” I insisted and right there, the Prince walked in on us“What f

I couldn’t sleep well after the Princess left because of what she said. It was what I had been waiting for all the days of my life but now that she mentioned it, I felt reluctant to leave. I was used to the palace and everyone around there, I was starting to know them and also build relationship with them, to be sincere, I was also in love with Remy even though I knew I shouldn’t do that.“I honestly do not know what to do” I sighed under the huge blanket and slowly drifted off to sleep after a long night of tossing and turning***The sun was high in the sky before I woke up thanks to my tiredness and I decided to spend each passing day meaningfully as from that morning. I drafted out everyone I wanted to spend each day with and what I wanted to do with and for them so I would have enough time to say a proper goodbye before the next Friday that the Princess would come back to my dreams.I got several bundles of yarn in different colors and sat inside all day, knitting several pieces

I knew that would be the next question they would ask and I was ready to provide the answer on the condition that none of them would make any move on Emory until I was ready to do so. From their talk, it was evident that he was now the acting Beta in place of his father and his governance was a bit ruthless. After telling the story of how I ran away and what happened between me and Ansel, their jaws were on the floor. They could not believe Emory could do all I had said because of how he pretended to love me unconditionally but actually had another plan for me.“You son of the devil! How could you do that her?” my mother growled and charged at Ansel who didn’t avoid her even though he could since he saw her coming. He probably didn’t dodge because he believed he deserved it.“It was not his fault. He was also blackmailed!” I shouted in defense and rushed to hold my mother backAfter all the ruse, she finally helped me treat the bite. “As much as I want to understand you, I hope you al
