" I hope he will be okay, Darn it! I feel like my chest is about to burst from guilt. " Riella told herself with a pout as soon as she walked out of the Mansion.

Then she looked at the huge house once again and let out a sigh. " I just hope he doesn't run wild again because of me, he's a strong wolf after all." She added with a short smile.

" I can't show myself to him after this--" She cut short by the sound of an ambulance , in a high speed into the premises. 

" What is an ambulance doing here? Who died? " She asked no one in particular as she stare perplexed.

Then not long after, a stretcher was pulled out from the house with a man familiar to Riella on it, blood covered most visible part of his body.

She fixed her gaze on the stretcher and her eyes went wide, " Nathan? " She ran to the scene to confirm her thoughts and it was indeed, Nathan, in his own pool of blood.

She gasped and shook her head, " He-he was fine when I left him, what the hell happened here! " She asked as tears begin to form in her eyes, no one answered her question.

Her eyes quickly went to Noelle who was just coming out with a swollen eyes, she ran to her.

" Noelle, what happened here? What happened to Nathan? " Riella asked immediately and when Noelle looked up and saw her, she burst out into tears.

" Why do these things have to happen to Nathan? He's my only brother," She shutter amidst tears. 

Riella felt the need to hug her, she move closer to her and pulled her into a comforting hug.

" It is going to be fine, He's definitely going to be okay, " Riella whisper to her ears with a gentle pat on her back.

After few seconds , Noelle stopped crying while Riella pulled gently from the hug and took her hand and squeeze it softly, " what really happened? "

Noelle sniff and pout before talking," He had an argument with our other brother I told you about and it didn't end well, he was shot. " Noelle explained.

" Oh my! He's so cruel! How could he do that to his step brother! " Riella exclaimed.

" I don't know why he hates Nathan so much, I just don't know! All I wished for was an happy family, why all these? ..." Noelle said and she begin to tear up again.

Riella pulled her into another hug once again, " Come on, It's going all right, Nathan is a strong wolf," Riella told her while Noelle nod.

The hug lasted for few seconds when one of the nurse interrupt them.

" Excuse me miss, " The lady called to their attention and they both pulled away.   

" Yes, " Noelle answered.

" Please come with us as his guidance for the necessary signatures, "The lady told her and walked away.

She turn to Riella, " Thank you so much Riella, I truly appreciate you for coming today and I hope you visit us at the hospital, right? " She asked and Riella gave her a smile.

" Sure."

" See you, " Noelle said and walked to the ambulance. She got in and it didn't take long before the vehicle zoomed off.

Riella stare at the vehicle till it was out of sight, she's trying hard not to cry, she can't cry. She continuously told herself mentally.

" He will be fine, " She muttered and with that she walked out of the premises.

Then grass right beside the entrance shook, Stefan came out of his hiding, he's been listening to what Noelle and Riella were saying.

He looked at Riella as she walk and deep his fingers into his pant pocket.

He then smirked, " I guess that's the lady he's so boastful about, " He said and licked his lips.

He suddenly laugh, " That doesn't guarantee him ascending the throne, I won't let that happen, I hope he never survive from the poisonous bullet. "

**At the Hospital**

" You can calm down now Noelle, we successfully removed the bullet though some substance is still in his system but will heal soon, " Mr Sean who's a family doctor to the pack assured Noelle..

" Thank you, Uncle Sean, " Noelle mumbled and looked at Nathan on the hospital bed still unconscious.

" You can rest now, he's out of danger okay? " He told her while she nod still staring at her pale brother on the bed.

" I don't understand why he has to go through so much pain, first it was the rejection and now this. Goodness! " Noelle muttered.

" Rejection you say? " Mr Sean asked and Noelle nodded in affirmation.

" Wow, That's so relieving to hear! Why didn't you tell me? You know I will be more than happy to welcome my queen, " Mr Sean rejoiced while Noelle's face dropped.

" She rejected him. " Noelle told him silently. 

" What? Why? " He asked perplexed " I mean, who could be bold enough to reject someone as strong as Nathan? Who's this lady if I may ask?"

" Riella Edmonds." She replied sharply while Mr Sean scoffed.

" Wait, is she not the daughter of the traitor Richard Edmonds? " He asked while Noelle looked at him differently.

" Yes, " She replied and Mr Sean hissed.

" Thank goodness that she rejected him, someone like her should not be allowed into the family, " Mr Sean said and seemed offended.

" Come on, Remember she's your nephew's mate, huh. They're bound to be." Noelle said politely while Mr Sean scoffed.

" Mate? We can't allow a traitor's daughter into the royal family. As long as that traitor's blood runs in her" He insisted stubbornly.

 Noelle balled her fist getting angry by his words, "Uncle! Are you telling me now that you want Nathan's lycan side to be caged forever! " She yelled and shot him a glare.

" It is not like that, I just don't want her in our family. Don't worry, Nathan listens to me and I'm sure he will listen if I tell him to look for another mate, " He told and smile.

" Uncle! " Noelle yelled, " She's your soon to be in law, respect her." 

" No, "

" I don't need you to accept her, She's my mate. No one! No creature can change that fact, not even you Mr Sean, "

They both looked at the direction the voice came from. It came from from Nathan!

He sat upright watching the two all these while.
