*Trisha's POV*

I stepped out of the plane with my head up high as I took in the familiar scent of the London airport. It was a scent that once filled me with trepidation and sorrow, but now it carried a different meaning. It was the scent of triumph, of overcoming the odds stacked against me.

My nanny, who had always been with me through thick and thin walked alongside with me, her presence a constant reminder of the unwavering support and love that had guided me through my darkest days. Together, we had forged a path of resilience and determination, refusing to let the past define us.

As I walked through the bustling airport, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. It was here, in this very city, where I had suffered unimaginable pain. It was here that I had found the strength to leave the pack, to break free from the chains of pain and betrayal that had me bound.

But I didn't just survive; I thrived. With my nanny's encouragement, I pursued my dreams relentlessly. I worked hard and went to medical school and pursued a career in medicine, fueled by a passion to heal and make a difference. The challenges were numerous, but I faced them head-on, knowing that each obstacle was a stepping stone towards my ultimate goal. It wasn't easy though.

Years of hard work paid off as I proudly stood before my peers, donning the white coat that symbolized my achievement. I was now a successful doctor, a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief in oneself.

But my journey of triumph didn't end there. Alongside my professional accomplishments, I held another precious treasure close to my heart. The triplets, my boys, were a blessing that came unexpectedly but brought immeasurable joy. They represented the love and newfound happiness that blossomed when I chose to forge my own path.

Now, I was not just a doctor but a beacon of hope for others. I dedicated myself to providing the best possible care, to being a source of comfort and healing for those in need. The scars of my past served as a reminder of the battles I had fought and won, and they fueled my compassion and understanding for the struggles of others.

I carried myself with confidence and gratitude. I had come full circle, reclaiming a place that once held painful memories. California was no longer a symbol of suffering but a testament to my resilience and the limitless possibilities that awaited those who dared to dream.

As the familiar scent of the airport surrounded me, I inhaled deeply, savoring the sweet scent of victory. I was no longer defined by the pain of the past but by the strength of my spirit and the love that surrounded me.

And as I ventured further into the city that had once held me captive, I knew that I had truly prevailed, emerging as a triumphant survivor who had built a life filled with love, success, and the indomitable spirit to rise above any adversity.

“Are you going to visit the hospital today?” Nanny Aurora asked as I drove us to the new apartment I had bought.

“Not really. I need to rest. It's been hectic. I'll look at the hospital tomorrow.” I smiled.

“Sure,” Aurora smiled and I exhaled. When we got home, I rushed to the kitchen and made something for us to eat. When we were done eating, I tucked my babies into bed and looked at them.

They didn't make a lot of noise today. They must've been tired from the flight.

“Liam, Sebastian and Nathan,” I called their names as I looked at them. They looked a lot like Alpha Oscar and Nathan reminded me of him. He had that cold aura surrounding him but he loved his brothers wholeheartedly.

They were one of the forces that pushed me to the success I was swimming in today. I wanted them to live comfortably and have the best future and so far, it's been good.

I wiped a loose tear from my face and walked back to the living room where mother was seated watching the news. I went to the kitchen and took a bottle of juice and two glass cups before walking back to the living room.

“What are you watching?” I asked and poured the juice in the glass cups before sitting down.

“Alpha Oscar got shot today.” She said and I paused what I was doing.

“He got shot? By who and why?” I asked even though I was sure she didn't know why something like that happened.

“According to the reporter, he went to attend a business function downtown and got shot there,” She explained and I gasped as I looked at the television. “He's being rushed to the hospital right now.”

I sighed as I saw them wheeling him to the ambulance. His face wasn't quite clear but from his build, I knew he was the one. I couldn't help the feeling that crept up my heart as I watched them take him into the ambulance and drive away.

Nanny Aurora switched the television off and smiled at me. “I'll be in bed.” She pecked my forehead and walked away while I was still there, staring at the blank screen of my television.

I wondered if he was fine and I didn't know why.

“He's an Alpha. He'll be fine,” I concluded and stood up, took the juice back to the kitchen and went to bed.

I laid to sleep but my mind was occupied with thoughts of how he was faring. I tried to stop myself from thinking about him but it wasn't working.

My phone beeped and I saw some missed calls from Kayla, my assistant. A message notification popped up, informing me that Alpha Oscar had been rushed to my hospital. I didn't know when I rushed down from the bed, changed my clothes and rushed outside.

I drove to the hospital and met them taking him to the emergency unit.

“The bullet is still in there.” Kayla told me and I nodded as we took him in for surgery.

I had the surgery and tried my best to keep my personal feelings in check. It was successful in the end and I ordered for him to be taken to the recovery ward.

I cleaned myself up and returned to my office as different thoughts raced through my head.

“Why do we have to meet again, Alpha Killian? Just why?”
