Vega’s life, a rich tapestry woven in the shadows, conceals more than meets the eye. Her indigo eyes, twin mirrors of a man she never knew, reflect a phantom figure who vanished before her very existence was etched into this world. The scars on her back, like ancient runes, tell a story of pain and survival—a narrative etched into her skin, whispered by the past she cannot fully recall. It haunts her dreams, a cryptic puzzle waiting to be solved. Driven by an unyielding need, Vega embarks on a quest to find the elusive man she calls her father. She seeks closure, to close the book on that enigmatic chapter of her life. But fate weaves an unexpected twist: she discovers she is the Alpha’s second chance mate. A cosmic bond, ancient and unbreakable, binds her to a destiny beyond her wildest imaginings. As Vega delves into her lineage, long-lost secrets emerge from the shadows. Yet, with revelations come dangers—dark forces that threaten her newfound life.

Chapter 1- Vega

"Be a good girl now and stay still. This won't hurt… much." The sound of the voice hung in the air like icicles, their edges sharp and cold. My pulse quickened, and fear crawled up my spine. Who was this? What did they want from> The world was in a deep darkness, but my sense sharpened by the fear. The fabric against my eyes was, of course, a veil that denied me from my sight. Panic surged- like a wild animal trapped in a snare. My head thrashed about while the bindings provided my skin with their cruel kiss of restraint. My hands strained against the restraints, but they held firm as the metal mocked me with their jingling. The room smelled of dampness, and the only sound I could hear past my prison was the dripping of water mimicking the pattern of a beating heartbeat. The cold air against my torso brought me to the revelation that I was topless. Goosebumps danced across my skin in a silent plea for warmth, a plea that remained unanswered. "Stop moving!" The words hung in the air,

Chapter 2- Altair

"Here are the latest rogue reports," Corbin stated, adding another sheet to the overgrown tower on the corner of my desk. "There's been an increase of activity in the southern boundaries, so I increased the patrol there." "Very well," I dismissed, my gaze shifting to the window. Beyond the glass, the son hung high in the sky, casting its bright rays across the room. 'Anything else?"Corbin hesitated, then revealed another layer of intrigue- the invitations from higher-ranking daughters of other packs, newly of age, seeking mates. I nodded. "I assume you sent out the proper response?""Yes, my Alpha," Corbin affirmed. "But I worry. The longer the Luna position remains empty, the sooner we will appear vulnerable to others- "My fist came down in a primal echo of frustration. The tower of reports crumpled; papers scattered like leaves. "That is ENOUGH. Corbin," I growled. "The Luna position remains vacant till I see fit." "Of course, Altair. I'm sorry for speaking out of turn," Corbin

Chapter 3- Vega

The drive had been uneventful; my little Bettle defied my expectations by not breaking down halfway on the highway. The hotel room, though cheap, was surprisingly well furnished, and the staff exuded friendliness. Hunger gnawed at me since the only thing I had eaten since leaving the record store was a bag of chips that currently occupied my passenger seat. According to the front desk girl, I stumbled upon Howler's Bar on my quest for substance- the hotspot in town. I positioned myself at the end of the bar, away from the partygoers and prying eyes. The last thing I wanted was for some creep to approach me tonight. The bartender served me my favourite go-to drink, Cr, my own Royal and paired it with my favourite greasy food. In solitude, I sipped away at my drink, curtaining myself with my hair from the outside world. The hard liquor was calming down my nerves of the anticipation of tomorrow. Very soon, this chapter will be closed with the added knowledge of meeting my sperm donor.

Chapter 4 - Altair

I stared at the report, its words blurring into each other. My mind was resisting to embed any line of it into my consciousness. My gaze wandered, drawn to the phone twirling against my desk's edge- a silent plea for it to ring. I knew my plan A, a clumsy attempt to leave my number on her hotel room answering machine, would likely vanish into the void. So, I had orchestrated plan B: a message discreetly left at the front desk entrusted to an attendant with explicit instructions. To contact me if it had this plan had fallen through as well. Relief had washed over me as the front desk girl informed me that the flower had at least made its way into my little star's car. Lupin lay stretched out in my mind, trying to recoup from last night's patrol outside the hotel, as his ears stayed alert while my thumb traced over the rim of my phone. After parting ways with Vega last night, there was no way- even if Lupin disagreed- I would leave her. So, in my wolf form, hidden from the shadows,
