Meera walked through the Narrow part that led to the queen's mother's chambers with the dress and the train containing the fruit which Kevan had requested her to take to his mother. These days he hardly had time to punish her or torture her like he used to. He was always busy with his mother, either they both went out or they were having a meeting or perhaps playing a game.

"may I" Meera requested, she offered to help her pack her hair since she is finding it difficult to park her hair herself

"Sure you can, I would appreciate it if you do"The queen's mother smiled at her, and she watched her through the mirror as she packed her hair with ease .She is pretty smart and good too.

"Bet you are new to the pack do have your sit and join me ''She pointed to the chair in front

"no ma'am, I will be on my way now. It is a great honor to be invited by the Queen to sit with her, I am grateful for it ,but I need to be on my way now" she smiled as she made to leave in a haste, she is not ready for her master's trouble.

"I insisted "Kevan's mother pointed out, Meera turned to look at the door and back at the queen's mother. She is not ready to be punished by the Alpha, especially when his mother is involved. He had ordered her to stay away from his mother and not to have any form of communication with her.

But here she was stuck with his mother. His mother was pretty way too good and nice compared to her ruthless Alpha, she stared at the queen-mother then a smile formed on her face as she made her way to sit close to her.

"You are from which pack?"She asked, staring hard at her. She noticed how uneasy she felt while sitting close to her.

"Ice pack" She responds silently praying for safety, her master will roast her Alive if she found out she was with his mother. He already threatened to tie her to the trees if he found her near his mother except when she was sent on an errand to her.

"Yes, queen mother, may I take my leave now, "she asked.

"No, not yet, what is your relationship with him," she asked the unexpected question, taking him by surprise.

Alpha Kevan opened the door to his mother's chamber, he walked in only to stop at his track. He stared at his mother and then back at Meera who stood up and hurried out of the room, she shakes with so much fear.

"Mum, what are you doing with her "Kevan asked with rage, though he tried to suppress his anger.

"She is pretty sweet and cool to chat with, is she someone important to you?" she asked his son

"Mum, since when did my private life become a chapter of a new book for you to read into?"He asked rhetorically, staring at his mother who seemed happy. Since when did his mother become so close to his slave, he thought.

"She is good and she is nice too, who knows you both might make a good couple "She added taking him by surprise, he had never thought of making her his mate, even if the moon goddess makes her his second chance mate, he will gladly reject their mate bond. Not after what she had done.

"Mum, don't say what you don't know, I will take my leave now''he announced walking out of the room.

He sighs as he releases the breath he had been holding for a long time now. He wondered what his mum saw in her that made her like her so much.

Meera fell to her wooden tattered bed, she heaved a heavy sigh, scared of what might happen to her when Her master decided to visit her. The thought of receiving the worst punishment filled her head but she soon waved it off and went to the kitchen.

She seems perfectly fine, her injuries had healed and her ruthless master had not had the slight opportunity to hurt. She was thankful for the arrival of the queen's mother who had saved her from so much torture by him.
