The hunt wasn't something that was organised often and today's hunt was courtesy Beta George Shaw organised solely for the alpha's sake that he may find his luna. George has been like a father to Jason and will always be. Infact, he had been like a brother to Bennett. He was a gentle man stuffed with compassion.

Jason was seated on the balcony, on a reclining oak chair, sorting through a pile of letters while sipping coffee, it helps soothe the hangover. Scanning each and every letter in his custody, he internally groaned. All these many letters just for this morning. Fifty percent of the letters were from his fellow alphas' from other packs wishing him a happy and safe hunting experience, hope you find your Luna, they all quoted. Felicitations upon felicitations, yet he had to read and reply every one of them. Then;

*Where the fuck are you, oh ye mighty alpha?!* Someone communicates to him through the mind-link. Jason froze. Now while Beta George was like a father to him, his son Richards was a total pain in the ass.

"A thousand and one times have I told him, never to use curse words when communicating through the mind-link, it's just not proper!" Jason mumbled before sending a reply, *Come upstairs to my room, I'm in the balcony.* With that he sat up, downed the remainder of his coffee and gathered up the letters.

Then came a knock on the door, "Come in," followed by footsteps. Richards stood tall by the doorway to the balcony, an air of confidence about him and a welcoming aura. He had a navy blue suit on and his blonde hair neatly combed backwards atop his head. A corner of his lip lifted in a smile on sighting his alpha, his deep, agile voice boomed; "Okay, now tell me something, is that your work pajamas or your normal pajamas?" He asked referring to the check pajamas Jason had on. "Or your hunting pajamas?"

"If you came here to disturb me Richards then the door is that way."

"The only dusturbing thing right now is seeing my alpha still in his pajamas by eight in the morning." Richards said with a smirk.

"I slept in," Jason got up and moved towards the railing, looking down at his territory, the balcony overlooked the vast forest of thick trees with buttress roots, rich loam soil, and numerous clearing. Mountains could be seen in the distance, mountains of hundred thousand feet with pure water flowing at their base. It's a beautiful view. "Anything?"

Richards go to him, "Yes, my father sent me to you, he caught two rogues trespassing just this morning, he's locked them up and he wants you to come interrogate them."

"Trespassing? He thinks the rogues came to spy on us to find out how far we've gone in the investigations, doesn't he?"

"He may not be wrong."

"I know, no rogue can be trusted."

Suddenly Richards chuckled, Jason turned to look at him, eyebrow raised.

"Oh sorry, just thought of something,"

"What?" Jason asked. What seriously went on in Richards head?

"You just sounded so much like your dad when you said that, I imagined you with a homburg." He chuckled again. Homburg, Bennett's signature look. His dressing wasn't complete without it.

Jason let out a chortle, "You're an idiot, Richards, I swear you are," then he ran the fingers of his right hand through his raven black hair, "My hair is too much of a beauty to be hidden under some vintage hat."

"Oh go have your bath!" Richards planted a playful punch on Jason's shoulder.

Jason turned to head in the direction of his bedroom, "What of Almira?"

"She's doing the usual."

"Ordering the servants?" Jason asked with a knowing smile while disappearing into his closet.

"You know it! I don't know why she stresses herself anyway? It's not like she's gonna win some sort of employee of the month award by the end of the month." Richards and his twin sister were different in everything but looks. Where she was fastidious, he was easy going. Where she was graceful, he couldn't be more clumsy. Where she was calm and polite, he could unnecessarily nervous and blunt. We could go on and on but let me turn off the switch here.

Jason reappeared from the closet with a royal blue blazer, an off-white dress shirt and pants to match. He set them on his bed and looked at Richards. "I'll be in the bathroom, you go inform Almira that we'll begin receiving guests for the hunt from twelve and she should make sure everyone is fed and comfortable. And oh, fetch me my office keys from your dad."

"And the rogues?"

"They will surely be interrogated."

June had just got out the shower was putting a pair of sky blue pants under a white shirt. She had combed her hair and moisturized her lips now she sat down at her reading table. Pulling out a pen and paper, she addressed the letter she was about to write. Since she would we going to the hunt with Antara, Tyler deserved to know about her change of plans.

'Hey baby,

She began.

How are you and how was your night? Hope you had breakfast and took your medicines? Remember I told you to always wrap up your wound with a hot cloth every morning you wake up, did you do that? And the ginger tea? Are you taking it?

Yea, I know I told you I'll be visiting today but I'm sorry I have to go with Tara to the hunt. I'm really sorry b, I'll visit you tomorrow promise, just take care okay. xo.'

Knowing Tyler very well, she knew he won't like the last paragraph of her letter. He may smile fondly at the first but immediately scowl at the second, still she'll mail it to him anyway.

Just then, her sister surfaced from the bathroom looking fresh and green. Antara began the compulsory task of drying her hair while sending a grin at her sister's direction before opening her mouth to speak:

"You know, I've never really understood you and Tyler's relationship," How did she know June was writing to Tyler? "you guys aren't mates, like have you guys even discussed what will happen to your relationship if either of you finds his or her mate?"

June steadied her gaze on her sister, saying nothing, letting the question hang, letting her mind pick it, assess it, juggle it, roll it and twist it and ponder it.

Antara didn't mind going on, "And when, when you find your mate today, what next?"

June let out a short laugh, "Why are you so sure I'll find my mate?"

Antara shrugged. Just a shrug, seriously? June shook her head, and comments good naturedly, "I pity your mate."

Most she-wolves always look forward to the hunt, while the ambitious ones whimsically dreamt of becoming Luna. Either way, the girls loved the festivity, the thrill, the feeling of hiding while your heart beat loudly in your ears, keeping still, until your nose catches a scent and you hear the sound of paws approaching. So no wonder how it's just twelve fifteen yet the pack house is surrounded by she wolves. The moment Ian and the girls arrived at their destination, Antara couldn't contain herself. She was in awe of her surroundings. The pack house is just as it was when she last visited it for the annual Selene feast; elegantly reposed at the fore of the forest, eclectic, colossal and intimidating. On the other hand, her sister's assessment of her surroundings was rather flippant. Yes, she admired the mighty structure in front of her, yes, she was a fan of the beautiful field spread out on the right side of the structure -where the guards trained, of course she loved the mountains i

"I want to know why you were not part of the hunt.""No reason, you were not part of the hunt either.""None of the males present is my mate. I can tell because I served them all. The bonfire dinner went well past midnight. The coupled wolves only began to disperse by three in the morning. Jason excused himself from the company of his mother and headed for the pack house. He stepped into the shower with Regina and June's earlier conversation replaying in his mind. His mother seemed to have alot of questions for June;"What's your father's name?""Ian Gilbert." June did justice to all her questions without any exhibition of nervousness or irritation. "Gilbert? Are you related to the late Monty Gilbert?" June had smiled, "Yes, he was my granduncle."Regina nodded, she knew a generous percent of the families in the pack by last name. And the Gilberts, she perceived they were indeed a noble family at least from what she'd heard about Monty. "And your mother?""Deceased.""Oh, sorry about that."A sigh escaped Jason's lips as the cool water cascaded from his thick mass of wispy black hair down his body. "This, my darling, is the dress I'd love for you to wear to the coronation this evening."June was awestruck, and at a loss for words. "It's, oh God," she chuckled, "it's beautiful." Breathtaking infact."It will look even more beautiful on you." Regina placed the dress in June's arms. The lace formed the ball of the gown, the numerous stones attached to it reflected rainbow coloured lights. Th
