Chapter 5

Evan

                I kept driving till I found this dive off the highway. I normally didn’t come to this side of town most of the pack stayed in the city center. Today I just needed a break from all of the pressure and responsibility. Andre perked up as soon as we parked. He was pacing back and forth in my mind and kept trying to talk but couldn’t find the right words.

Evan, “Dude you need to chill, what is going on?”

Andre, “I don’t know but something big is happening! I can feel it!”

Evan, “please just chill, I don’t need this shit today!”

I opened the door to the diner and her smell hit me first! The most amazing smell of dark chocolate coffee hit me and almost knocked me backward. The second thing I sensed is she is a rouge! What the hell is happening? How did I walk into the only restaurant that had a fucking rogue working there? I scanned the room until I locked eyes with the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. But she was a rogue!

Evan, “NO NOT A ROGUE.”

I slammed the door shut and shattered the glass. It took absolutely everything in me to turn and walk away from her. I climbed on my bike and drove towards my home, why had the moon Goddess done this to me?

 The most delicious-looking man walked into the restaurant, tall, and well built with the deepest blue eyes I had ever seen. His sandy hair fell into his eyes as he scanned the room. I swear I stopped breathing when we locked eyes. All I saw was him and without thinking I just started to take a step toward him. I could smell him from across the room. It was like the perfect day at the beach, All I got was fresh wind coming off the ocean. Damn, he was a fine man! But he was…

Shay, “MATE!”

Shay was going crazy in my head but after that first step, I was frozen he was from the Crescent Moon Pack, and I was a rogue. What the hell was he going to do?  I watched his face contort and change. His eyes went pitch black as he looked at me and then he turned and walked out the door slamming it so hard that the entire thing shattered. I stood frozen not knowing what to do, Shay was freaking out and yelling at me to go after him, but I knew I couldn’t. I had to run!
