I dropped everything and ran from the restaurant; I didn’t care what the fuck Tom was going to do. I had to tell Stephen and Charlie what was happening and that I had to get out of here. How is it that I had found my mate and he had run from me, and now I was going to run from him. It wasn’t worth the risk to stay. The moon Goddess had made a mistake. He was from the Crescent Moon Pack. They killed rogues on site these days. I am just so lucky he hadn’t killed me right then and there.

As I walked in the door to the apartment, I called their names. I looked for them everywhere. Then I remembered it was the middle of the day and of course they would still be at work. I started running all over the apartment packing up my few things and getting them into anything I could carry down to Lady. By the time Stephen walked in the door 2 hours later my car was packed, and I was finishing cleaning my room. The last thing I could do was leave without saying
