There was tension between the both of them; it was like a never-ending silence.

Alex kept his eyes on Aaron, he could not believe what Aaron was doing.

His fingers kept tapping beside him, he thought of what his mother was going to say to this and how his sister would react to it as well.

Aaron did not bother at all; he felt his father gave him the company, and he could employ whoever pleased him; it was never something to debate about.

And Cat? She felt caught in all of these like the family was trying to make a mockery of her.

" I know the two of you planned this right? You planned to throw me out of the house so I could fall right into your brother's arms," she yelled.

" I do not know what you are talking about. You are the one who owes me an explanation of how you got him wrapped around your fingers. I know you did something to him" he said.

Cat laughed. She looked at Alex like he had gone out of his senses.

“I did nothing to him; you should ask him why he is so interested in me this much," She said.

Alex walked around the office, he was so confused. He did not expect to see Cat there. He went closer to Aaron.

" How dare you? How dare you bring her into this organization? She is meant to be out there on the streets suffering and here you are, giving her the best life? How dare you?" He hit his hands on the table that was there.

Aaron acted like no one spoke a word, his eyes were still fixed on the laptop that was in front of him.

This made Alex more upset but he could not fight him in his office.

" I am talking to you, Aaron," He said, tapping the laptop.

Aaron finally gave him his attention. He raised his head and looked at him.

" What are you still doing here?" he asked like he was shocked to see him standing there.

" You are acting like you are not getting what I have been saying; Mum has to know about this," he said and then left the office.

Catherine stood there like a lost soul. She wondered if they did not plan this together for real.

She pulled out one of the chairs and sat on it; her eyes were all over Aaron.

" Is there something you want to say to me?" He asked her, his eyes and his hands still on the laptop.

" I need to understand something. You did all of the things you did on your own?” she asked.

" What do you mean by that?"

" I'm trying to find out if you got married to me on your own and not some family arrangements," she said.

He closed his laptop and turned his focus on her. He looked angry.

" What do you take me for? A kid or something? I know what I am doing, and I can not ask my family for permission on who to employ and who not to employ," he said.

There was silence between them.

Aaron was on his way to the big Dawson family house. He was driving so fast because he wanted to get there almost immediately.

He drove into the garage and came out of his car hurriedly.

His steps were fast as he walked into the house.

He got to the sitting room and met Sophia, his sister there.

" Why is Mum" he said.

" What do you want? Look at the way you are panting, did something happen?" She asked him. She removed her headset from her ears as she assumed that something terrible must have happened.

" Where is Mom?" He said as he went upstairs to her bedroom.

" What is the noise all about?" She asked him as he stepped into her room.

She pushed him out of her room because of the way he was looking and the way he was breathing as well.

" I need to talk to you and Sophia," he said; he walked back downstairs where Sophia was.

" Did I do something wrong?" Sophia arched her eyebrows at him.

" Everything is not about you; give me a break." he rolled his eyes.

His mother got into another outfit and came downstairs.

Sophia placed the headset back on her ears.

Alex was about to talk when he saw that she had returned the headset back to her ears.

He went to her and took it off.

" Do not dare me, I will match this." he threw it on one of the chairs that was close by.

" Be fast with whatever you want to say." She went to get her headset.

" You will not believe what I saw at that office today. I got into Aaron's office and saw Catherine there. Aaron is saying some shit about her being his assistant" he said.

Sophia had to keep the headset away from her as she sat up.

" What the hell did you just say?"

" You heard me right"

" It must be some joke. Who the hell does she think she is?" Mrs. Dawson said.

Sophia got up on her feet, her hands were on her waist. Her feet were vibrating like they would tear the ground into pieces.

" She has to leave that place. She is not part of the family and can not be" she said.

Alex was panting all over. He looked at the time, it was still morning.

“I think it is time to call for a meeting. Catherine got into our family because of you, and I am not going to let her remain in my family," she pointed at Alex with anger written all over her face.

" But I did what was best for the family; I let her go, and this is what I get? At least I did something right, just look at what Aaron is doing right now" he was so upset that his mother was looking at him with those accusing eyes that he hated so much.

Mrs. Dawson picked up her bag and headed to the door.

" Where are you going, Mum?" he asked her.

" I do not have to tell you where I am going, make sure she does nothing stupid to our company, and wait for a call from me; we will be having a meeting soon," she said and walked away.

The sound of her car leaving the gate was heard.

" What do we do?" Sophia drew closer to Alex.

" We have to wait for the meeting," he said.

He left the house and went back to his house. He got home and found the house dirty. The smell that hit his nose right from the door. His eyes went to the floor of the room.

" Why is this place like this?" he walked further into the house.

Rebecca came out of the room.

" I did not know you were going to be home so early, why are you back to the house by this time?" She stretched her body.

She was just waking up from the bed.

" I left the house this way and it is still this way?"

" What is it supposed to be like? Don't tell me you are expecting us to clean up the place" she laughed as she strolled to the kitchen.

He followed her there.

" You were meant to clean the house, what happened to doing that?"

" I am not your maid, Alex. If you want your house neat, you have to employ one" she said.

Alex hit his hands on the door, wondering what this was all about.

Alex paced around the house; he was trying to be careful so he did not step on the dirt that was on the floor. His eyes went round the house, and he was so disappointed at how she had left the house. " I am not getting a maid, Rebecca" " Why not? You should get a maid to do that. I did not come here to be a maid for you" she said. " And the laundry?" He asked her. " The laundry should be done by the maid as well, what do you take me for? I'm never going to stress myself over that; it's not going to happen that way," she said. He ran his hands through his hair. The sight of dirt on the floor irritated him so much. " This can't be. Cat does all of those things, and she has never complained or said anything about it; she has always been comfortable with it," he said. " I am not Cat, and I can never be here; you should not complain about little things like this. Cat was just a maid, I am a wife, and you should get the place tidied by one of the maids; I'm sure you have the money,"

Cat's heart beat against her chest to the roar of the slamming front door shut after her. Her breath came in shallow gasps, and her mind struggled to keep up with what her eyes had just seen. Then, right there in the centre of their marriage bed, was her husband—her husband, with another woman. The woman lay in the bed, her legs all spread out and his tongue moving in and out from her, her scream vibrating across the room. She stood and watched as her husband was rough handling another woman's breast making her cum and also him cum without doing too much, her heart bleed as the sight. Her husband has refused to touch her claiming he was too weak and tired to do anything, even if she pleasure his cock, sucking on it as its life depends on it, he would only snap and tell her not to do it again. She felt the sting of the betrayal like a blow of a truck, and then, in that instant, she came to a reality and dashed at the door again. Her hands shook as she grabbed the doorway's frame and th

Cold air slapped against Catherine’s face as she ran, blinded by tears, her chest heaving with each breath. Her legs burned, but she didn’t stop. Not until her foot caught on an uneven pavement, sending her crashing onto the ground. Pain shot up her leg with a scraped knee, but she did not notice it much. Warmth wrapped her. A solid arm draped over her waist, a steady heartbeat thrummed against her back. The scent of expensive cologne and musk filled her senses. She left the bathroom and began to dry her body. Then she ran her hands through the clothes that were in the closet. She ran her eyes to see something that was nice and good, but her eyes seemed to be failing her. Alex was not serious with their family's business, so there was never a time she frequented the office to have decent office wear. "I should not be waiting for you for this long" she heard Aaron's voice, obviously frustrated from waiting. She sighed as she picked one of the outfits that were there. She grabbed her bag and then her phone was next, she was trying her best to hurry up with what she was doing. She opened the door and he was not near the door. She hurriedly went outside the house, hoping to see him in the car. He was already inside the car. " Why did you take so long just to appear this way?" He looked at her from her head down to her toes and then shook his head like he was very much disappointed in her for her choice of clothing. She had to look at hers

She opened her eyes and saw the room she was in. It was different from the room I was used to. She stretched her body as she stood up from the bed. Her eyes went around the room, she had to wipe her face with some water from the bathroom. Then she knew that all that happened the previous day was real. She was still married to a Dawson, just that it was the elder brother. Such a stupid thing. She was still a Dawson even after she had remarried. She walked out of the bathroom; fear gripped her as she thought about what her new life was going to be like. What she was going to do here and how things are going to be. She held her phone in her hands as she looked at the text that Alex had sent to her. She sighed. " He already succeeded in throwing me out of the house, why is he so mad that I found a roof over my head?" She said as she saw the second message from him. A knock came to the door, making her heart jump. She thought that it would be Aaron at the door. She went to it and
