Scarlet POV

Graduating from the best University with first class it's not all that matters. What matters most is to have the power to get work after school.

When you have the wealth and connections you can get a work even with lower class or even without graduating but here I am with good result but no one to help with work 

It's been like forever since I graduated from Sorbonne University France but I haven't smell anything close to work because whenever I get the opportunity to be employed someone from the high will bring his son daughter niece or cousin which always jeopardize the whole thing which I have to start from the scratch again 

Tired of sitting idly at home I decided to go into the city. Maybe luck might be by my side today. I dressed up and walked out where I saw my mother father and brother working "Good morning" I said generally 

"Where are you going early this morning?" My mother asked just the best way to reply to my greetings

"Let her be pleased" my dad chipped in

"I'm going to the city maybe I might be lucky today" I said wearing my shoe 

"Don't over stress yourself dear with time you will get a work" my dad said encouragingly which I sighed 

"Just join us and manage the shop that's all" Mom said "if you get a work now you will start stressing out and lose your beauty and weight" Mom said 

"I'm off" I said, getting out of the shop without uttering a word again. I lived in limousin region which isn't that far from the city just a few minutes drive and I will be in the main city 

I begin the job hunt by submitting my CUV incase of any vacancies but all I got is that I will be informed if there's a chance which I know some might call back but some wouldn't because of one reason or the other. I walked to a nearby cafe to have some latte coffee to cool off. 

Gradually sipping my coffee when my phone begins to ring without checking i know the caller already " yes" I said because it's only Jackie that will call in the midst of work

"Joy killer" she said from the other side which I know she's pouting and playing with her hair right now

"I know just say it already" I said knowing her fully well she has something to say 

"Well I have a blind date setup for me again can you help me out please" she pleaded

"No ma thank you ma"I said , hanging up the call on her. Jackie is the only person I'm close to apart from my family member 

Jackie always sends me to her blind date saying she doesn't want to arrange marriage rather she wants to meet her own husband on her own, not on blind date so she always sends me over while we play trucks on the guys and they run off without coming back again. I smiled recalling our childish act.

On my way to the bus stop I saw where people gathered watching what's going on so I walked closer to take a glance at the view then I saw they were all watching the acting going on. I walked closer to them and watch a while before turning to leave but on a second thought I decided give it a try by talking to the manager on set, so I walked closed to him after they went for a break

"Good day sir" I greeted hoping to get a reply

"How are you and how may I help you?" He asked which I breath in before replying 

"Please sir I will like to act or in fact any work you have to offer" I said which he looked me from head to toe before speaking 

"Write down your number and I will call you" he said which I quickly nod my head 

"Sir please give me your number so I could call to remind you incase you forget" I said which he didn't reply on time but finally give in

"Okay" he said which I handover my phone to him to type his digit 

"Thank you sir" I said happily walking out of the scene and straight to the boss stop 

I follow the next bus going to the limousine since I have nothing to do again. I walked into the shop with people everywhere. Our shop is moving fine because we do have a lot of customers and sells the best croissants, macarons and steak tartare in this region but the only reason is that we only depend on the shop without any form of income from anywhere else which we have a lot of bills and can't be covered by it alone. I walked past all the people in the hallway and climbed the stairs straight to our apartment since the shop is below whereas our home is at the top.

I woke up and bathed before going down to help my family with some work where I saw Jackie helping Abraham to wash the dishes. I sighed and walked close to dad and began chopping the onions that will be used for cooking. 

"How was your day?" Mr Johnson my father asked concern which I smiled

"It was fine daddy" I replied shortly not bothering to go into the details I haven't gotten the job

"I know you will get a job soon so don't over stress yourself" he calmly advised me. I love my parents a lot because they mean alot to me and I want to make them happy even if it's just for a day but I don't think that's gonna be possible any moment from now. 

Done with the work I empty the trash inside the waistband leather before taking it out to throw it which Jackie follows suit. Immediately I went outside I saw different types of wasteful leather in front of our shop which I know it's not ours so I drop the one in my hand and walk over to Mr Frank's shop opposite our and luckily enough he was coming out

"How can you just dumb everything in front of our shop?" I shouted which makes my parents and brother to come out since Jackie was already standing close to me

"What do you mean?" Pretend Mr Frank

"You know better than I do" I replied 

"Mr Frank has warned you to stop dumping your waste here. You have a shop so do I so everyone should pay for his or her waste by causing a scene" mother said which Mr Frank begin to say rubbish without thinking twice I slap and pushed him over before anyone could talk he was already on the ground screaming and shouting which makes my parents to rush over to him to help him up. 

There and then I know I made a mistake because I broke his advert board which will cause a fortune but I didn't let that show. 

The police arrived and he was taken to the hospital where we followed and I was asked to pay the bill

"But sir" I was about to say but dad stop me so we all went back home

"Your temper will get you nowhere" Mom complain

"It's okay please" dad said 

"It's not because she has to pay the money tomorrow" Mom continue seeing if I continue it will turn to something else I intervene 

"Don't worry I will pay" I answered about to get up but Mom hold me back 

"How?" She asked 

"Well I got a work and some film industry" I replied not waiting for further questions and walked out which Jackie follow suit

"You never mention that to me" she said looking at me which I sighed 

"I haven't been hired but I can't risk saying that because they will be worried on how to pay the debt so I decided to say that but I know by tomorrow I will figure something out" I hopefully say

"Let me" before she will continue I stopped her

"No thank you. We are not your liability and you have done enough so please just stop already" I said because i know the next thing she will say is that she will pay for me which I don't want her too because she has already done enough for us and I feel bad all the time seeing how she's spending on us.

"Alright then. Let's clear this place since we couldn't do that before" she change the topic satisfied with our work we decided to go inside since it's late already and everywhere is quiet as I was about to open the door Jackie stopped me

"Since you don't want me to help then I will pay you if you go for the blind date" she said and walked inside without waiting for my response first. I pushed open the door and went inside after locking the door
