Chapter seven

Scar pov

Jackie walked in shortly with her phone "who was that?" I couldn't help but questioned her seeing how she's behaving

"A client" she replied not looking at me which only means she's lying to me but decided to let it be since I'm tired. I adjusted the duvet 

"Off the light when you're done" I said, covering my eyes with an eye mask since I can't sleep with the light on.

I woke up late because I turned off the alarm, seeing it was disturbing my sleep. "Jackie you need to wake-up if you don't want to be late for work" I said tapping her but the dummy head wouldn't wake up so I had to drag her down 

"Stop that Scar" she said trying to pushed me with her legs

"Get up or you will be late and I know you wouldn't like your cousin to take your place in the office" I sing a song while she sprint to the toilet which I sigh in relief seeing that did the trick. I guess she doesn't want someone else to take the company under her nose so she always try her best to be punctual and active 

She asked me to work in the company with her but I have to decline because i know what people will say not that I care but I won't risk that knowing people will target me to get to her and I wouldn't like that so I told her no which we had a misunderstanding before she let it go sering she couldn't change my mind even after throwing tantrum

"Let's hang out today. It's been long we had a drink" she dressing up since she has a lot of here in my closet 

"Just like that. No thank you" I declined knowing she's up to no good because both of us are horrible drinkers 

"Bills on me I promised"  she said, picking her hand bag before she sprinted out.

"Take your breakfast before leaving" I heard mother saying to jackie 

"I will package some. I'm late already" Jackie responded which I smiled knowing she won't skip a meal for anything no matter how late or busy she is she always try her possible best to eat

I dressed up after arranging the room before walking out since I will be going for a shoot today. "Good morning pa" I greeted my father giving him a peck on his cheek while he returned the gesture

"How are you my angel?" He asked

"I'm fine pa" I replied which he hum

"Is there something bothering you?" He asked out of the blue which I stopped what I was doing facing him

"I.. I'm fine pa" I replied "what did you see?" I asked curiously 

"Well I notice that your smile is not genuine and you have been behaving strangely since two days ago" he said which I laughed nervously 

"It's due to stress Pa" I lied "Don't worry when I have enough rest I will be fine" I said 

"I hope so and please don't burden yourself so much dear"

"I promised I won't" I said smiling before walking to the dinning with my father.

"I don't know why I married you in the first place" mother complain coming out from their room "I'm tired of this work I should've gotten married to a wealthy man but I chose love" she continues while my father just sat there saying nothing

"Mother" I said

"What?" She asked

"You should learn how to talk" I said "moreover you have said it all you married him not because of wealth but love then why bring that up now?" I asked looking at her straight in the eyes

"What?" She asked surprised by my question 

"Or is it that you also regret having me and Abraham as your children?" I asked because I know she can say that too

"Scarlet Johnson you won't say another word" father called my full name which makes me shut up because I know he's angry. I pushed my chair back and stormed out of the dinning before I could say something else.

I closed the door standing behind it trying to control my breathe and the tear threatening to come down which I quickly ambled to the toilet to wash it off "I can't ruin my face" I said fanning my face with my hand before I raise it.

I apply a little bit of makeup so my face won't look dull. I open my door and stopped in my track hearing my parents voices 

"I'm sorry Victoria" father apologies which I saw Maa holding his hand

"I'm sorry John. I never meant what I say" she said in tears "you know I love you so much and can't trade you for anything' she said 

"I know but" father tried to say

"I love my children. And I have never for once regretted having them but now look at what Sca.." she tried to say but couldn't say my name fully because of how the cry overpowered her. I felt a strong arm on my shoulder and turn to see Abraham 

"She made a mistake and she has learnt from it already which I know she didn't mean to say that. You know she always whines at times but Paa always massages her shoulder and that's all but I think it's because you're not always there when she says it. That's why you felt it somehow but trust means she loves our father " Abraham said giving me a light squeeze on my shoulder. I tried to control my own tears but couldn't so I rushed down and hug them both from behind Abraham joining us too

"I'm sorry" I said in between sob which mother turn and hold my face in her hand

"I'm sorry Scar '' she said, kissing me on my forehead while I hugged her tightly. My phone rings and I pull away before picking it 

"Hello sir" I said while listening to him attentively before answering "Okay sir. Thank you sir" I said before ending the call

"Who was that?" Abraham asked 

"Oh it's the director. He just called to inform me that I don't need to come today that's all" I said smiling before sitting down close to mother putting my head on her lap while she stroke my head

"Since you aren't going out again let's eat our breakfast together" father said to lighten up the mood which we all nodded. I pass the plate while Maa serves and Paa arranges the table. 

We ate in silence. The only sound you could hear was that of our cutlery. After eating I smiled seeing all of us eating together. I packed the dishes and Abraham cleaned the table.

Done with everything I vacuum the kitchen before going back to my room to change since we are going out with Jackie

"Hello" I said trying to fixed my hair 

"Come out Scar" Jackie said while I cut the call and picked my bag up.

"We are going out for a drink" I said trying to wear my shoe 

"Please don't drink too much because the both of you are bad in drinking" Mom warns which I wave and walked out to meet jackie in her car 

"Where to now?" I asked hoping into the car

"Shopping"

"What?" I shouted "thought we are going out to drink?" I asked 

"Yes but let's get drunk looking sexy" she said and wink at me while I just laughed at her. I wonder how Jackie used to think sometimes 

We tried different types of clothes before Jackie finally settled on the one we both are going for. 

We sat down and the makeup artist did some smoky touches for us making us look sexier than the makeup matching our outfit. Tank top and short skirt with slit that what we both wore with a jacket a little bit below your knee

"I need to get laid looking sexy and hot like this" I said imagining how I will be bend over while am being fuck by the back

"Worry not.  Who knows maybe you will get dome hot cake tonight" which I laughed

"Crazy thought". We drive to a fancy six star bar where mostly rich men and women come to drink. 

We walked to our table which is facing the city view where we would be able to see clearly.

"Let's order" Jackie said which she wave and the waiter quickly arrived "just give us Pastis and water" Jackie ordered which the waiter left and come back a little bit with our order

I take a sip of the water before I open the wine. "I need to pee" javkie said quickly getting up before I could say anything.

She came back in less than five minutes tapping her leg on the floor. "What's wrong?" I asked seeing she's not touching her drink

"I'm sorry Scar but I promised to make it up to you" she said quickly picking up her bag and ran away I turn to call her but stopped seeing the person  in my front

"I'm gonna kill you Jackie" I shouted after her but couldn't get up since I'm blocked
