Anna didn’t really have to study for the eight paper one exam papers because she had revised everything for the paper two exams. She knew that she told the matron that she wanted to study, it was an excuse to get some rest as she could sense that things were not going to be quiet for her until she left. That night the matron called her in her office and told her since she was turning eighteen she would become someone's wife and as such, she had to know how to do all the house chores. The matron added laundry duty, sweeping and mopping, cooking breakfast and dinner, preparing snacks, stock taking, folding and ironing clothes and even taking care of the babies.
