After Serene and Paige had separated ways, the words of Paige kept on resonating in Serene's head, no matter how hard she tried, she could not just stop thinking about it. A soft sigh slipped past her lips and she pinched the space between her brows in exasperation. She pressed her back against the seat of the car and closed her eyes.

"Miss, we are at your stop" after a while, the voice of the driver reached her eyes and she opened her eyes.

"Oh, thanks" Serene mumbled gently and got out of the car. She paid her fare before turning around and walking away.
