Serene sat absentmindedly in from of the dressing table, her eyes glared at her reflection in the mirror expressionlessly. She was not exactly looking at herself but it seems more like she was lost in the space. A wooden comb was in her hand and she brushed her hair in a daze. She was rather slow and sluggish and no one knew what was in her mind.

"Beep beep…" it was the familiar sound of her phone that drew her back to reality.

"Ah!" She snapped out of her reverie and dropped the comb on the table. She looked around for her phone and when she saw it, she picked up the call that came through. It was a call from Paige.

"Hello, Rene!" Paige's sweet voice rang out through the speaker of the phone and it feel on Serene's ear. Just as usual, Paige had her pleasant and happy go aura that could even be felt over the phone.
