Chapter 101

Veronica and Vicente’s eyes go wide as they realize a second too late what Luis is going to do.

Vicente grabs the gun from him after the shot is fired and Luis coming back to his senses realizes what he has done.

They both quickly turn to look at Peter to see no one standing there. They both get a sickening feeling as they look to the floor. There in a pile on the floor is Peter on top of Veronica in a pool of blood.

Vicente pushes Luis back as Hector goes to check both bodies. Luis is screaming and crying that he has killed her.

Hector pushes Peter off of Veronica and checks his pulse and he is dead. Then he goes to check Veronica.

He carefully rolls her over to find a graze across her right shoulder. She is unconscious though and has a fate heartbeat so he’s not sure if she’s been shot of if there is something else and then he sees it.
