Chapter 79

This was a new day but yesterday’s episode was still weighing heavily on me. Keanu was up and seemed to be writing a letter on the couch opposite the bed. I was deep asleep I didn’t notice when he returned.

“Hey babe. What time did you come back?” I asked, still lying in bed.

He looked up at me “I got in late at night and you were deep asleep, didn’t want to disturb you. How do you feel?”

“Weak and hungry,” I’ve had nothing to eat since yesterday and I can’t believe I’m still scared to eat this morning.

“Starting today, your meals will be tasted in your presence before you eat them. Don’t be scared”

“Oh that’ll do,” I said, nodding my head.

My eyes were still on him as he went back to writing whatever he was writing. He looked like he hadn't had any sleep in days.
