They all soon began their journey to the northeast part of the Raven kingdom where the weather was unstable and coldest. It was the border of the Raven Kingdom with the Falcon Kingdom which was separated by an ice-cold ocean named 'Rose'. As they travelled further, the colder temperature was and the more gloomy the weather was. It was a place where there was no chance for survival if one got lost. They travelled for five hours before finally reaching their destination.
King Raleigh stopped and looked at all of them.
"Let's rest for a while. We all can have something to eat and leave. Set up a tent in that area and maids with two soldiers will stay here. Commander Wesley and two soldiers will be leaving with me."
"Yes, your highness."
All of them soon set up tents for everyone. The maids were busy cooking the foods while commander Weshly and other soldiers were preparing the weapons. King Raleigh stood up far from them and looked at the mountain he would soon be climbing. The mountain was neither too tall nor too small but what made it dangerous to climb was it was very steep in some parts and sometimes the weather may not favor them. But today was his day. The weather was clear and there showed no signs of snowing and blizzards. He would not have to worry about avalanches or massive storms. He smiled slightly. He would conquer that mountain and hunt the snow leopard because no one had ever succeeded in climbing this mountain and hunting the snow leopard.
The maids finished cooking the food and served it to everyone. Everyone had enough meal as they didn't know how long they would be hunting for. They also carried enough warm water and some food in case they took a long time hunting and got hungry. They had enough weapons like bows and arrows plus some guns. The horses were also taken with them in case of some emergency or hunting becomes dangerous. The life of the king was most important than anything in this world.
They were standing at the base of the mountain. King Raleigh was in the front sitting on his white horse with a bow on his shoulder and arrows on his back while the others stood behind him. They all looked up at the mountain full of snow and some steep rocks with boulders in some parts. The top of the mountain was surrounded by fog and was covering the whole area. They couldn't go much at the top because they may suffer from hypothermia or frostbites. As they reached here, the weather started getting cloudy and cold breeze started to blow. King Raleigh was pissed off as the weather was just clear now. They were fooled from far when they saw the mountain but when they came here the weather was the exact opposite. It would be really bad if they went hunting in such circumstances. They may get lost easily or suffer from severe consequences.
"Your highness, I think we should return back to camp. The weather is going to be very bad." Commander Weshly suggested.
King Raleigh was just looking at the mountain silently. No one knew what he was thinking. As for king Raleigh's personality, he was definitely up to no good. Commander Weshly knew that and was worried. He was silently praying for God to make king Raleigh agree with him.
"No, I will go."
Yup, if King Raleigh agreed with commander Weshly's decision then he wouldn't be king Raleigh. He was very stubborn and does the things once he decided to do no matter what. King Raleigh was very brave and wanted to hunt no matter what. He loved facing difficult challenges. He only used to feel alive when he was near to death. He always felt great satisfaction in completing those daring challenges which no one could.
"But the weather..." Commander Wesely tried to persuade him but was stopped by king Raleigh.
"Weather may change once we start climbing. I want to hunt the snow leopard today no matter what."
"But we can come tomorrow too, your highness."
"No, I will go right now. If you all don't want to then you can leave."
How can they leave? It was not possible, alright. Someday the king would also die and make them die with him too. Commander Wesley was crying internally.
"How can we leave without you, your highness? It is our duty to protect you and die for you."
"Hm, then this matter is close. Follow me."
King Raleigh started climbing the mountain on his horse followed by commander Weshly and two soldiers. "Guard your backs and each other. Don't get lost too."
"Yes, your highness."
As they started climbing, the place looked the same everywhere making them lose their way to get lost in this mountain which they never wanted to happen. Why was it so difficult to hunt the snow leopard? They stuck some sticks with the royal insignia as a mark for their way to return back. As they climbed higher into the mountain, the small wind started to blow. The wind was carrying snow with it making their vision difficult. The fog was also starting to surround them.
"Be close to each other." King Raleigh said in a loud voice.
Then they all were riding horses close to each other so they wouldn't get lost in this fog and wind with snow. To make their condition worse, the weather was starting to get even worse. The wind started blowing strongly than ever. But these difficulties couldn't stop king Raleigh. Instead, he was feeling more excited. He felt adrenaline rushing all over his body and his head. The more difficult, the happier he was. Ah... He couldn't wait to hunt the snow leopard. There was a smile on his lips. Would you even call it a smile?
After some hours of climbing in a strong wind and fog, everyone finally heard a loud roar. King Raleigh got even more excited and looked for the direction where the roar came from. Within a minute, they again heard a roar and could finally get where the roar came from. It was coming from the east. King Raleigh turned his horse to the east and started to chase the sound.
"FOLLOW ME!!"
Commander Wesley and the two soldiers started following king Raleigh. Snows were starting to fall down and the wind was getting even fiercer. But king Raleigh's heart was beating even faster and louder because of excitement. Finally a snow leopard. When they finally reached the place where they had heard the roar coming from, the snow had started to fall heavily and a blizzard was forming. Because of the blizzard, their vision was disturbed. They couldn't see properly the way they were walking. The horses were also starting to get restless. King Raleigh was blocking the blizzard with one hand while the other was holding the halter. He was looking here and there for the snow leopard but couldn't see anywhere.
King Raleigh and others looked for snow leopard for more than five minutes but still couldn't find it anywhere. Maybe it had already walked away from here. They couldn't even see properly and were only depending on their sense of hearing. Soon everyone decided to end the hunt and come tomorrow. If they don't leave now, they may get lost in the mountain or get caught up in the avalanche. They were just turning back to leave when something suddenly attacked them from behind. Everyone quickly strayed far from each other and looked at king Raleigh because that thing had especially attacked him.
King Raleigh managed to dodge the surprise attack because of his super reflex and his intuition. He had always been trained since small against the assassination and trained to attack anyone if he got caught in a surprise attack. But his horse got scared and jumped high making king Raleigh fall on the snow and ran away as his horse was not a warhorse which became his weak point. He couldn't see properly which direction the horse ran to. Commander Wesley and the other soldiers tried to shot the snow leopard with guns but the guns couldn't work as the gun powder got wet because of the snow. As they tried to distract the snow leopard, king Raleigh was searching for his bow and arrows which had fallen when he fell from the horse. And if they wanted to stay alive they could only depend on his bow and arrows as those guns were pretty useless now.
The snow leopard was attacking everyone sneakily in that heavy snowfall and blizzard. Because of the weather condition and uncontrolled attack from the snow leopard, they all got separated into different directions. King Raleigh didn't know where he ended up after avoiding the snow leopard's attack as he also couldn't see properly. He just knew he was in a high place. He heard the sound coming near him. It looked like the snow leopard only wanted to attack him and followed him. King Raleigh was vigilant towards his surrounding. He listened quietly as he heard the low growl from the snow leopard. It was probably very hungry in its cold weather and king Raleigh looked most delicious. He had already retrieved his bow and arrows and it was behind his back.
Both the snow leopard and king Raleigh were on stalemate for a while. It looked like they were waiting for each other to attack first. The snow leopard was slowly walking circling king Raleigh and it looked like it could jump on him at any time. King Raleigh was also super aware of it and waited on his guard. It didn't look like the snow leopard would be attacking any time soon. Why? Because of its intuition? Strong against strong. King Raleigh bravely shot one arrow towards the snow leopard instead of being afraid. The snow leopard dodged the arrow easily as it was very flexible and the mountain was its home turf. The snow leopard had much more advantages than the king.
The snow leopard suddenly jumped on him from his right. King Raleigh also immediately turned right and shot the next arrow. The arrow didn't even touch the snow leopard but the snow leopard clawed him. But its claw couldn't touch his body. It only managed to tear his woolen cloak after he saw the arrow didn't hit him and moved a little bit away from the snow leopard. The snow leopard was growling angrily at him and king Raleigh also wouldn't back down. If he had his sword, then this leopard wouldn't still be standing right now. He had to depend on his physical strength and his arrows. The snow leopard jumped in front of him making king Raleigh fall with the snow leopard above him. It was trying to bite him with its fangs and tear him with his claws. King Raleigh tried to defend himself from its attack grabbing both of its front claws with his hands. Its fangs were near his shoulder.
King Raleigh somehow managed to grab an arrow and inserted it inside the snow leopard any parts he could reach. The snow leopard jumped off from him once it got injured on its chest area. This game of cat and mouse went on until king Raleigh got exhausted and finished up using all of his arrows. He was tired and was breathing heavily. The harsh weather was affecting him and now he couldn't even open his eyes properly to see. Ahh... he should have at least brought a dagger. After all that fight, he had only managed to shot on the snow leopard's right front leg while the snow leopard managed to slash his back deeply and injure his left leg. His blood was flowing heavily from his back and he could feel the snow leopard growling in excitement as it smelled his fresh blood. He didn't have much strength and stamina left. This environment was a huge negative point for him. He was slowly catching his breath as the snow leopard attacked him again. It looked like it was going to kill him today no matter what.
The snow leopard had slashed his stomach with its sharp claws. The blood immediately flowed out. He knew at this moment that he would die here and the snow leopard would eat him. No, he didn't want to be its food. The mighty king of the Raven kingdom couldn't die so disgracefully. He also wanted to attack but he stumbled back because of his weakness. Before he could regain his balance, he fell off the cliff. He had never imagined that all this time he was fighting on the cliff and he wasn't even aware of it.
The cliff was tall and he fell off the cliff swiftly. King Raleigh then finally confirmed he was about to die. Well, at least it was better than being snow leopard's food. Before he fell, he had seen snow leopard looking at him from the end of the cliff. He smirked seeing it. The poor creature couldn't get its prize after fighting for it so long. The end parts of the cliff were full of sharp rocks. King Raleigh rolled down the cliff with those sharp stones making his wounds hurt deeper. Now that he was about to die, he felt alive. He could see millions of hands on the ground trying to pull him to hell. After rolling for some time, he landed on the snow with a large impact. He was too weak to even move an inch or lift his fingers. Every part of his body was hurting. He laid flat on the ground looking at the cloudy sky above him.
Am I going to die now? Did they return back safely?
Those thoughts were running inside king Raleigh's head currently. He had never imagined that he was going to die here alone. The brave and mighty king Raleigh Kainz died during hunting. Haha... it was going to be a joke in the entire land- a black mark in the history of the royal family and the Raven kingdom. What a joke!! Haha... he wanted to live longer. He still hadn't fulfilled his dreams. He didn't want to die in this way. If he had to die, he would have preferred to die on the battlefield.
King Raleigh couldn't take the pain anymore as he slowly closed his eyes and everything became dark for him.
King Raleigh slowly opened his eyes to see an unfamiliar ceiling above him. His head was throbbing in pain. He remembered falling down from the cliff and knew he was about to die. He was definitely not in his royal palace and obviously not in his bed but he still felt that he was lying above a soft thing. Wait!! Did he really die? What was this fluffy thing under him? Was he sleeping on clouds? It meant that he went to heaven instead of hell. He was crying in tears of happiness knowing he wouldn't have to burn in hell. No, No, was he a fool? It can't be. King Raleigh could feel his heart beating and he was breathing. He tried to move his body but couldn't move because of the pain. Who saved him and where was he now? Did somebody kidnap him after all he was a king and would be a good hostage against his kingdom? He just hoped he wasn't caught by his enemies. He laid on the bed and looked around the unfamiliar room. It lo
King Raleigh looked at the joyous expression on Ives's face when he said he would stay with him until his wounds healed. It was so easy to make Ives happy. King Raleigh smiled at that thought. "Ah!! you smiled." Ives said opening his eyes widely. King Raleigh's lips which had just curved upward slightly just straightened. "I didn't smile." "But I just saw it." "It was a hallucination. Forget about it." King Raleigh couldn't believe that he had just smiled in front of Ives. "Are you shy?" Ives asked in a teasing tone. "What?! No!" King Raleigh immediately denied. "It's okay if you don't want to smile but you look good while smiling." Ives earnestly said. King Raleigh was silent and just hummed later. For
King Raleigh felt it was better for Ives to stay here. Ives was a mix and a rare beauty. Most Ravenian's had dark black hair with black or grey eyes and they had a pale complexion. Males were much taller than females. And Ives was the total opposite. Although he had a pale complexion which he had gotten from his father, most of his features were probably from his mother's side like his Caribbean eyes and his straight brunette hair. He looked taller than females but in comparison to Ravenian males, he was smaller. Let's not even talk about how slender his body was. Ives was the picture of the body type; neither fat nor too slim. His body was toned with slight muscles without any body fat. He was neither too masculine nor too feminine. King Raleigh could already imagine how thin Ives's waist might be just by seeing the pant hanging around his waist. King Raleigh felt his whole body and face is hot. He drank a sip of jasmine tea
"Husband... It is such a beautiful word." King Raleigh knew Ives was just going along with him but still hearing the word 'husband' coming out from Ives's mouth made his heart flutter. His heart was beating so loudly that it felt like it was going to come out from his body. Oh my god... He should learn to control his feelings. King Raleigh put his right hand on his chest and took a long breath to calm his raging heart. He brought back his poker face and entered inside. That soft look before this felt like it was just an illusion. But this was king Raleigh's habit which had been carved deep into his veins since he was a child. Never show your emotions to others. It is your weakness and others may take advantage of it. As a king, king Raleigh must not have any weak points. King Raleigh sat on a couch as he waited for Ives. He could st
Swimming together was definitely a blessing in disguise for king Raleigh right now. Why? Because while swimming they must remove their clothes, right? Although he didn't know how the hell they would swim in that frozen cold lake, he still will get the chance to see Ives naked. King Raleigh didn't want to admit that he was actually looking forward to this moment. Just imagining Ives's naked body in front of him made his blood rush into his brain. Ives's body must be soft, right. He had never seen Ives's naked body but he could imagine how it would be just by seeing the clothes wrapped around Ives's body. That slim waist and slim slender body with some muscles, it must feel like heaven to touch it. Will his skin be bouncy and smooth? King Raleigh couldn't wait for it. As king Raleigh was imagining
"Yes, you can touch it. It's all yours." As king Raleigh said that he stood in front of Ives just an inch apart from each other. He held Ives's right hand and placed it on his abs. Ives was a blushing mess when he saw king Raleigh that close to him. This man was a walking hormone, alright!! It's not fair at all. Ives raised his head and glanced at king Raleigh then saw king Raleigh smirking at him. What?! He looked so hot. He immediately lowered his head focusing on the feeling of king Raleigh's abs on his right palm. It was giving him goosebumps. It was rock hard and solid. "Woah!! It's so hard."Ives said as he started to roam both his right and left palm all-around king Raleigh's abs. His eyes were sparkling with excitement. He wondered when he could get such a body. While Ives was excitingly touching king Raleigh's abs, king Raleigh was experiencing sweet torture. His kitten's paws w
King Raleigh intensely stared at the person under him. Ives looked like pitiful prey caught by a ferocious hungry wolf. King Raleigh's eyes had that dark glint suppressing his desire. The desire to ruthlessly fuck the person under him. The desire to completely monopolize the person under him. The desire to embrace the person so tightly that they would never be able to separate again. King Raleigh now understood the saying when the lovers said that they wanted to always be together. He just used to scoff at it previously thinking love was a weakness but now seeing Ives looking pitifully at him lying under him, he understood it. At this time, king Raleigh just wanted to swallow this person in his stomach so they could always be together. King Raleigh's both hands were on the sides of Ives's face so they were not touching each other although
Commander Weshly with his remaining soldiers plus maids were also desperately searching for king Raleigh. They had just gotten the news that the help was coming soon. They were relieved after getting the news. More manpower means more chances to find their king. It was not that they were unsuccessful, they had searched the whole mountains but still, hadn't found their king anywhere. They were in despair. They just wanted their king to be safe and sound. Only the prayers could guide them. While the whole royal palace and the commander were worried to death for their king, king Raleigh was spending the best time of his life with his Ives. After his feelings got reciprocated, they both were literally in the honeymoon phase. It had already been 4 days after they got together. Although they were together, king Raleigh hadn't been too intimate with Ives. They just kissed each ot

The warm winter morning with the gentle rays of the sun was covering the whole Raven kingdom. The kingdom was nuzzling with the citizens doing their own works. With their new king, His Highness Satchell Kains, there was some change in the Raven kingdom. His highness was very intelligent and was sure he would take the kingdom to a new height and make it even more powerful. Everyone was happy and satisfied. On the other side of the capital far away from the civilizations, King Raleigh had prepared everything for his marriage with Ives. He was feeling like it was a dream. Just a few years ago, he was mourning for Ives's death and was alone but now he was marrying the love of his life, his angel. King Raleigh was really gr
It took four days for king Raleigh to get well. He was suffering from a high fever with a common cold and some symptoms of frost bite were on his fingers and toes. Ives was grateful that king Raleigh didn't suffer from pneumonia at this state. Ge was unconscious for the whole four days. Ives always fed him medicines and stayed by his side checking king Raleigh's temperature from time to time. Under Ives's meticulous care, king Raleigh's condition got better and better. Finally, on the fifth day, king Raleigh showed some signs of waking up. Oliver had also left the house to go to the city for his job. So, Ives and king Raleigh were the only ones present in the house. When King Raleigh woke up, his head was still aching and was feeling dizzy. He looked around and saw none
The sun had already risen when Ives and his father, Oliver got ready to set off back to their home. Their home where they had been staying forever. Their own small paradise, surrounded and hidden deep in the mountains. The land free from the stains of the filthy world. The place where Ives's innocence and purity were left behind. They were ready. The king, the queen of the Wallace were sad but they had to let go. Ives had been staying with them for more than six months and were attached to him. Princess Rosanne was the saddest among all of the people. She had truly loved Ives. It was not some childish crush nor puppy love. Ives had really captured her heart. It was hard for her to see Ives leaving but still, she had to let go. She went towards Ives and said, "Bye, bye. I'll definitely not remember you." &nb
Ives was unconscious and was sweating, twitching his eyebrows. King Raleigh was holding Ives's hands all the time like it was the last straw in his life. He was also wiping away Ives's sweat from his face from time to time. Ives was unconscious for a day. It was finally the next morning when Ives slowly opened his eyes. Seeing Ives opening his eyes, King Raleigh who was resting on a couch near to him rushed over to Ives's side excitingly and asked, "Ives, are you alright?" By this time Ives had already recovered his lost memories. So, seeing king Raleigh after opening his eyes made him both surprised and bitter. He turned away his face not wanting to look at king Raleigh and asked, "What are you doing here, Raleigh?"
The new was starting. It was finally the day of engagement of Princess Rosanne and Ives. Before that day, Ives had tried his best not to think about that strange yet familiar man. He always stayed around princess Rosanne so that his mind would be occupied wouldn't wander off somewhere. It is said that the empty mind is the house of the devil. So, he was always around her as if he was trying to compensate her. King Raleigh also returned back to the Raven for some time to recover after receiving such shock. He had also received a message from Prince Satchell to return as the matter was very urgent. He thought it was better to leave instead of getting hurt. Ives was finally happy and was moving on. What could he do? He was stuck in between wanting Ives to remember him and was also afraid of his hatred. He also didn't have enough
Ives and Princess Rosanne returned back to the palace. Both of them were silent with their insecurities hidden inside their hearts on the way back making the ride silent. Ives was confused by his behaviour he showed back there himself. When he had seen that unknown man with a mask his heart was racing faster. He had forgotten about everything around him and was only looking at that man for a while. But remembering now why did he feel like he had seen that man somewhere before? But he hadn't seen that man's face but his instinct was screaming he must have known him somewhere before. Those thin lips felt too much familiar to him. Why was his heart beating anxiously? Why did the tears fall from both of their eyes? As soon as Ives came back to the palace, he directly went to his room after sending princess Rosanne off. Princess Rosanne
As soon as king Raleigh found Ives, he felt like he lost him too. He wanted to keep that sand so much with him that he clutched it so tightly he ended up losing it through the small gaps of his fingers. After such a long search, he had finally found his Ives but he felt like Ives was far from him. Too far to close off that wide distance. His Ives was actually marrying someone else. Someone other than him. He didn't want to believe it but all the evidence were in front of him. It wasn't a good feeling. He wanted to believe that wasn't his Ives but those features which those girls described fitted all of Ives's features perfectly. He was filled with sadness and jealousy. He finally knew how Ives had felt when he was going to marry Lady Blaine. King Raleigh had the taste of his own medicine and god... it was bitter. &nbs
King Raleigh had been travelling alone on his horse now for two weeks. He was searching for Ives everywhere he reached. He used to travel the whole day and rest at night. He would sometimes sleep in inns and sometimes outside. After getting tired for a whole day, he would sleep with the memories of Ives. The fact that Ives may be alive somewhere was keeping him going desperately. He was wearing normal black pants and a white shirt with a cravat. He wore a long cloak that hid his face so none could see his face and know he was the king. He travelled across rivers, hills, cities, towns but still couldn't get any signs of Ives. He used to ask every people he met but still, there was not any progress. It was always a failure. Sometimes fear kept welling from his heart thinking the god may not want him to meet Ives. Every night he used to have a nightmare of Ives being happy without him.
