Nina

“Please, get behind me,” Nina pleaded with Angelica as the howls and growling became more violent and loud, scraping wood echoed through the room which made the pregnant werewolf cry harder, screaming for her sister. Nina turned to the girl and ushered her to the opposite side of the room, away from the door, and sat her down carefully sat her on the floor behind a large wooden wardrobe, the only piece of furniture in the room beside the large bed. “Stay here, do not move, not for anyone or anything. Do you understand?” The girl didn’t respond. She stared, terrified, at the door where her sister disappeared, her hands shakily covering her mouth as tears rolled down her pale cheeks. “Angelica Sky!”

The girl suddenly snapped her eyes to meet Nina’s and managed a meek, “Huh?”

Nina placed both of her hands on either side of the g

AngelicaPlacing protective hands around my swollen belly, feeling a lump in my throat, I wondered why on Earth this Madeline woman wanted my child. From what I gathered, she took me and I’ve been here for four months. While wondering the actions and motives of this woman it took everything I had not to burst into tears, remembering that my sister was on the other side of the door, fighting for my safety. She loves me, came a sobering thought with memories of our earlier childhood flashing through my mind, before we got older; before we started turning on each other. How she used to sneak me more ice cream when mum and dad weren’t watching, how she chased away the bullies that picked on me and how she would tell me stories of the Moon Goddess and how She would grant wishes to lost souls who would howl at the moon. Those were the days that I really cherished, the days we laughed together before-A loud growl behind the

This truly was a war zone.Amongst the mass, Madeline finally stood from the ground, blood pouring out of her eye socket, flesh peeling off. Their eyes met and she gave Dmitri a twisted smile before she turned and ran into the thick forest. Snarl

MaxHe considered himself a rather laid back individual, sure he doesn’t take a lot of serious situations as serious as he probably should but where would the fun in that be? And, right now, he’s baring his bloodied teeth as four Witches are attempting to team up against him and, while he admired their tenacity, he mentally laughed at them before charging them and attacking their throats.Max took a second to gaze around the battle field, bodies of Witches and Werewolves piling up all because one Witch fucked with the wrong Royal family. Now there was all this bloodshed. The tang, metallic taste of blood ran down his throat as his eyes caught a Werewolf being thrown by magic, landing on the ground with a bone crushing thump as a Witch stalked the Werewolf, silver dagger in hand. Gabriel His heart was pounding in his ears; he could almost hear his blood rushing through his veins as his adrenaline circled through his system. He stood as tall as he could without his body shaking, knowing this would be a fight to the death. The room around them was crumbling into pieces, bits of rubble and wood surrounded them, and Gabriel realised the whole castle was falling apart. It was a wonder they managed to hide in this place, he thought before his eyes connected with the man in front of him. Gabriel could vaguely remember the man’s name - Lloyd, wasn’t it? He remembered Angel’s friend crying for him - and memories of his crime infiltrated his head, making him shudder. If it weren’t such a dire situation, the guilt Gabriel felt would have consumed him, but he couldn’t let that happen, not right now. He took in the man standing in front of him, his black shirt crumbled and grey sweatpants dirty from dried blood an dust, his hair a mess and his eyes glaring with murdero

Dmitri He watched as his best friend struggled with the silver spike which impaled his shoulder, his panic slowly easing as Max snarled his teeth at Madeline. Max used his legs and hands to hold on to the middle of the spike and hoisted himself off the and fell the grassy ground with a hard thud, Sara was quickly by his side healing his bleeding wound. Dmitri could feel his heart beating erratically as his anger burned his chest, listening to Madeline chuckle childishly to herself. Wiping splattered blood from her cheek, Madeline giggled, "Perhaps you should give up, King," she delicately licked the blood off her fingers. "You have no chance of defeating me. The girl may be out of my grasp; however, one way or another, I will have my hands on that child's' power. Now or when the runt is older, I do not care but-"a wave of her hand in the air "-I will have the power to destroy Werewolves, anyone who stands in my way." A Werewolf elder standing beside her, knife in hand. As Carla stared at the full moon as instructed, she held out her hand for the elder as he cut the palm of her hand. His voice booming through the forest air, loud enough for even the Moon Goddess to hear. “We have accepted you as our Alpha, our leader, please recite the sacred promise and accept us as your Pack.”As the blood trickled to the marble floor, Carla loudly recited the words she had practiced for weeks.

Gabriel BlackGabriel stood at his fathers’ bedroom door for what seemed like hours, hand hovering over the doorknob, his hand retracting every so often before he took in a deep breath to prepare himself for what he was about to do. When he was brought to his father, his men had told Gabriel that he suffered severe injuries in a sudden attack that happened during a large Council meeting, killing hundreds of Werewolves and Witches. He was barely alive and needed to say his final piece to Gabriel. So here he stood, preparing for his fathers’ death. He entered the room, dark save for a few lit candles on the nightstands on either side of the large King sized bed that cradled his fathers fragile frame. Gabriel never remembered his father seeming so weak. He knew his father as a large, terrifying man that wouldn’t hesitate to kill children if

AngelicaMy mother once scolded me with tears in her eyes when she pulled my tiny body away from a crumbling cliff. I remember that day so vividly, the way her face was a mixture of terror and fury. Growing up I never knew why, but her shaky, broken voice was glued to my memory and I have never forgotten what she yelled;"What would I do if I lost you!?"I never understood what she meant by that. I understand, now.My head rested against car window as I watched the trees blurring in a dizzying speed. We were on our way to the airport, heading to Ireland to bury the familywe'velost. Just the thought of it had the lump in my throat form again and the pit inside my stomach churn and threaten to bring up whatever small food I could consume before we left and the pain came back, leaving a foul taste in my mouth. DmitriHe’d only just started walking towards the hospital wing of the Sanctuary to see his Angel and here, right in front of him, Gabriel stood. Dmitri once had the instinctive urge to beat that man into a pulp, but now he couldn’t care less. He realized the man was too broken to be much of a threat now.“Are you going to go see her?” Gabriel asked quietly, his hands fiddling by his sides.Dmitri nodded. “Yes, she needs me now more than ever.” He ran a hand through his hair before he shoved his hands in his pockets, carefully watching the other man in front of him. Gabriel looked as if he something he wanted to say but held his tongue. It was almost aggravating to Dmitri so he sighed heavily before muttering, “Go on, say what you need to say.”Gabriel nodded. “Don’t break her heart, &l

MaxThe dark, eerie sky littered with gloomy dark clouds, a sad feeling settled in his stomach. The dim light from the moon caught his eye as he stood on a balcony high above and he thought about the Moon Goddess, why She chooses Werewolves mates, their destiny and if She would be angry if they were to choose their path, their ending? Although he knew that Werewolves and Lycan's shared some qualities, traits and genes, he knew the vast differences would make a Werewolf/Lycan pairing difficult. Werewolves have longer lifespans than humans though they have significantly shorter lifespans than Lycan's. Lycan's weredesignedto live for around three or four hundred years, so the Royal family can rule without heirs being changed every 40/50 years. Werewolves were lucky if they could make it to a hundred- and fifty-years-old. The lifespan alone makes his stomach drop. Max wasn't sure why he was even

CarlaShe looked around the forest, the beautiful rays of sunlight peeking through the leaves left her skin warm and radiating. The calm, cool water surrounding her feet soothed her aching bones and she patted through the river, a serene smile gracing her features. Not a care in the world as the wind gently lifted her hair, playing with it happily as she continued to walk through the river, letting the water rise up to her calves and giggling as it tickled her. She heard distant voices behind her. She turned to see her parents and her grandparents, smiling and waving at her. She laughed and waved back. They were shouting at her to come back, waving her over with excitement. She didn’t want to, she wanted to stay in the water a little bit longer. She enjoyed the cool, tickling feeling of the water as it rose again to above her knees. She gazed at the water, watching the ripples

GabrielThe world was foggy when he pried his eyes opened, a white glow seemed to blind him for a moment before his sight adjusted and his surroundings became clearer. A white ceiling above him greeted him, the glow of the light flickered for a second as he realized he was in a hospital bed. His thoughts were scattered as he slowly became more conscious of his situation and he wondered how he got there. He didn’t remember how he got here or who had helped him. He remembered how he crawled through the bloody hallway, agony encasing his entire body as he moved inch by inch but after collapsing it all goes blank from there. He had thought for sure that he was going to die and, if he were honest, he accepted that. He knew after everything that he had done he didn’t deserve to live. So, how did he get here?He barely recollected the distant voices moments before he passed out and while he was lost
