He watched as his best friend struggled with the silver spike which impaled his shoulder, his panic slowly easing as Max snarled his teeth at Madeline. Max used his legs and hands to hold on to the middle of the spike and hoisted himself off the and fell the grassy ground with a hard thud, Sara was quickly by his side healing his bleeding wound.
