Angelica

My mother once scolded me with tears in her eyes when she pulled my tiny body away from a crumbling cliff. I remember that day so vividly, the way her face was a mixture of terror and fury. Growing up I never knew why, but her shaky, broken voice was glued to my memory and I have never forgotten what she yelled; "What would I do if I lost you!?" I never understood what she meant by that. I understand, now.  My head rested against car window as I watched the trees blurring in a dizzying speed. We were on our way to the airport, heading to Ireland to bury the family we've lost. Just the thought of it had the lump in my throat form again and the pit inside my stomach churn and threaten to bring up whatever small food I could consume before we left and the pain came back, leaving a foul taste in my mouth. It shouldn't be like this. I shouldn't have to bury my family,

Gabriel BlackGabriel stood at his fathers’ bedroom door for what seemed like hours, hand hovering over the doorknob, his hand retracting every so often before he took in a deep breath to prepare himself for what he was about to do. When he was brought to his father, his men had told Gabriel that he suffered severe injuries in a sudden attack that happened during a large Council meeting, killing hundreds of Werewolves and Witches. He was barely alive and needed to say his final piece to Gabriel. So here he stood, preparing for his fathers’ death. He entered the room, dark save for a few lit candles on the nightstands on either side of the large King sized bed that cradled his fathers fragile frame. Gabriel never remembered his father seeming so weak. He knew his father as a large, terrifying man that wouldn’t hesitate to kill children if

A Werewolf elder standing beside her, knife in hand. As Carla stared at the full moon as instructed, she held out her hand for the elder as he cut the palm of her hand. His voice booming through the forest air, loud enough for even the Moon Goddess to hear. “We have accepted you as our Alpha, our leader, please recite the sacred promise and accept us as your Pack.”As the blood trickled to the marble floor, Carla loudly recited the words she had practiced for weeks.

  • His Hidden Child   Prologue

When your heart is broken, there are no words to describe the feeling. You could describe the feeling of sadness afterwards, but not the actual heartbreak - because when your heart is broken, shattered even, by someone who was made for you, no words come to mind, no words can get passed your tongue. All you feel is an intense numbness taking over your body, no feelings could be felt, no sound could be heard, no scents could be smelled, no nothing. Just the knowledge that your heart is being broken and it may never heal. This was me.In one night, I gave my everything to someone who was made for me, who was meant to become the love of my life the way I always dreamed he would - but instead he lied to me, lead me on, pulled me in with his fake smile and fake heart of gold and stripped me bare, taking my everything. I thought he would mark me, claim me as his mate and stay with me. But he didn't. He left me and with him took my virginity, my pride, my dignity and left beh

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter One

August 29th, 2013Returning home from school, I walked into the kitchen with my exam results in hand. My mom was standing at the stove, stirring the pasta she was cooking for dinner tonight. "Hey," I greeted her. She turned to me with a smile."Hey sweetheart," she sang. "What's that?""It's my exam results," I told her timidly. "I haven't looked at them yet."Just then, my older sister, Carla, sauntered into the kitchen with her results. "Got mine too, Mom," she huffed as she shoved it into Moms' face. Mom sighed and took it from her, opening hers first. It didn't take long for Moms' disappointed face to settle in. "Carla, all you've gotten is C's and one B," Mum sighed. "That's not good enough, I know you can do better than that." Carla just shrugged and went to sit at the dining table. Mom opened mine up and she was soon beaming with pride. "All A's and one B, oh, Angel, I'm so proud of you!""What's happene

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Two

AngelicaThe guy was now in front of me, grinning down at me like he just won something. His dark eyes roamed over my figure. His hair was damp from sweat, curling as it was drying, his dark eyes stared into mine and his muscled arm reached up and his cold fingers stroked my cheek - my damp cheeks from crying. His smile dropped as he continued to wipe my cheeks until they were dry from his touch. He gave me a small smile, a smile that made my heart tug and my belly flip-flop. I swallowed as he spoke. "Why were you crying?" He asked, his voice was smooth and enticing, his slight British accent made my knees weak.Embarrassed I looked down at my feet. "My sister and I had a fight so I came here to get away." After a moment of silence, I looked up at him and he regarded me with sympathy yet offered me a comforting smile."Let's sit down," he suggested as he carefully dragged me to the grassy ground beneath us, placing m

AngelicaThe grass beneath my bare back was cold yet soothing to my skin, my breath coming out in short heaves as Gabriel's mouth licked and nibbled at my neck. He'd made quick work of my clothes and they lay in a crumbled pile beside us. His warm hands roamed down my chest, down my waist to stop at my thighs before pulling away from my neck to loom above me. His eyes changing to a completely black hue and I knew he was holding back his wolf spirit. He grinned sluggishly, almost as if he were drunk, and whispered to me, "Let me have you."I felt a shiver travel through my entire body, I attempted to steady my breathing as I nodded, reaching for his belt buckle. He threw his head back and muttered something under his breath before I pulled his belt out and threw it to the side. And before I could even blink his mouth was on me again as he fumbled with his jeans. Then, with a hot blush wasing over me, we were one.

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Four

Gabriel BlackKicking the door open of his hotel room, his wet tongue clashing with this girls tongue as he did so, his arousal evident as he pressed the now solid body part against her belly. She giggled as she fumbled to take his shirt off. He complied and shrugged it off quickly, doing the same to her shirt - if that's what you want to call it. It was short, thin and see-through, an ugly pale red colour. And her short shorts, they were practically panties. Young girls these days have no self-respect at all. But, Gabriel thought as she stripped herself of her 'clothing', every hole's a goal.He grabbed a foil packet from his bedside table and after tearing it open and sliding the protective rubber around his hard member, Gabriel then pushed the girl onto his hotel bed and proceeded to do his work, pushing in and out hard and fast, inconsiderate of her feelings. He slammed into her so hard, the bed was beginning to squeak and he

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Five

AngelicaPacking my suitcase into the taxi's boot, I faintly hear Mom's cries as she clutches onto my father. "Don't worry, Mom," I said as I walked over to them, engulfing both of them into a tight, loving hug. "I'm going to be okay. I'll call every morning and every night, I promise." I pulled back and gave my mother the best smile I could with what little confidence I had. Mom smiled back weakly as I watched her heartbreak once again. A week ago, when my mate left me that night, my father called people he knew that might be willing to take me in. Either nobody had the room or they didn't want to. In the end, he called up Moms' parents from her old pack and they were more than happy to take me in - their pack was in Ireland, however. I shuttered at the thought of Ireland, knowing that that's where the Mermaids and Sirens like to go, on the shores of Ireland, attracting their pray. But Grandma and Grandpa were the only ones that were w

DmitriHe’d only just started walking towards the hospital wing of the Sanctuary to see his Angel and here, right in front of him, Gabriel stood. Dmitri once had the instinctive urge to beat that man into a pulp, but now he couldn’t care less. He realized the man was too broken to be much of a threat now.“Are you going to go see her?” Gabriel asked quietly, his hands fiddling by his sides.Dmitri nodded. “Yes, she needs me now more than ever.” He ran a hand through his hair before he shoved his hands in his pockets, carefully watching the other man in front of him. Gabriel looked as if he something he wanted to say but held his tongue. It was almost aggravating to Dmitri so he sighed heavily before muttering, “Go on, say what you need to say.”Gabriel nodded. “Don’t break her heart, &l

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Fifty-Seven

MaxThe dark, eerie sky littered with gloomy dark clouds, a sad feeling settled in his stomach. The dim light from the moon caught his eye as he stood on a balcony high above and he thought about the Moon Goddess, why She chooses Werewolves mates, their destiny and if She would be angry if they were to choose their path, their ending? Although he knew that Werewolves and Lycan's shared some qualities, traits and genes, he knew the vast differences would make a Werewolf/Lycan pairing difficult. Werewolves have longer lifespans than humans though they have significantly shorter lifespans than Lycan's. Lycan's weredesignedto live for around three or four hundred years, so the Royal family can rule without heirs being changed every 40/50 years. Werewolves were lucky if they could make it to a hundred- and fifty-years-old. The lifespan alone makes his stomach drop. Max wasn't sure why he was even

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Fifty-Six

CarlaShe looked around the forest, the beautiful rays of sunlight peeking through the leaves left her skin warm and radiating. The calm, cool water surrounding her feet soothed her aching bones and she patted through the river, a serene smile gracing her features. Not a care in the world as the wind gently lifted her hair, playing with it happily as she continued to walk through the river, letting the water rise up to her calves and giggling as it tickled her. She heard distant voices behind her. She turned to see her parents and her grandparents, smiling and waving at her. She laughed and waved back. They were shouting at her to come back, waving her over with excitement. She didn’t want to, she wanted to stay in the water a little bit longer. She enjoyed the cool, tickling feeling of the water as it rose again to above her knees. She gazed at the water, watching the ripples

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Fifty-Five

GabrielThe world was foggy when he pried his eyes opened, a white glow seemed to blind him for a moment before his sight adjusted and his surroundings became clearer. A white ceiling above him greeted him, the glow of the light flickered for a second as he realized he was in a hospital bed. His thoughts were scattered as he slowly became more conscious of his situation and he wondered how he got there. He didn’t remember how he got here or who had helped him. He remembered how he crawled through the bloody hallway, agony encasing his entire body as he moved inch by inch but after collapsing it all goes blank from there. He had thought for sure that he was going to die and, if he were honest, he accepted that. He knew after everything that he had done he didn’t deserve to live. So, how did he get here?He barely recollected the distant voices moments before he passed out and while he was lost

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Fifty-Four

SaraThe cold air whipped her face as she exited the dense forest tree lines with Max right beside her and into the blood-covered battlefield before her, her breathing stinging her lungs as she inhaled sharply before running to the mass of Werewolves and Witches. Max tried to shift; however, his body was too weak, so instead, he stayed as he was and jumped to help the others fight off Witches.Sara's body ached terribly as she scanned her eyes over the battle, watching as Witches conjured weapons and used magic to blast away Werewolves. Her legs shook uncontrollably while she tried to ignore her exhaustion. She needed a way to hinder all the Witches, a way to block their magic without exhausting herself temporarily. Now that Nina was....gone, she couldn't overdo it as they all needed her to get everyone out of here alive and quickly. The smell of blood and silver was more powerful now, and the screaming and battle cries made

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Fifty-Three

AngelicaI didn’t know where I was. With the white walls surrounding me and medical tools on a table next to me, I knew I was in some sort of hospital but where? One second I was in this weird bedroom, and Lu looked at me with murder in his eyes and the next Carla, and I was in this large hall resembling a cathedral.I felt a crippling stabbing pain shoot up my back, my sister’s comforting words fading in and out as building pressure in my head caused me to scream, reminding me that I was wheeled away with people shouting and my sister squeezing my hand tightly. “I-I c-can’t do this, Carla,” I sobbed as the pain rippled up my spine once again and an urge to push swirled through my stomach. Tears soaked the pillow under me as I leaned my head back.My sister gently wiped my tears away as someone, whom I assumed was a doctor, placed a hand on Carla’s shoulder before she spoke. “If we a
