“What’s going on, Arla? What trick are you trying to pull?” Jaxon looked at my corpse and automatically blamed me.

“Is this your idea of revenge? Are you trying to make me feel guilty by killing yourself? How dare you play such a trick?! You’re so childish and mentally weak! It’s preposterous! You killed yourself just because we took care of your baby for a few days! How could you do this?!”

While I looked at his terror-stricken and pale face, I grimly said, “How can a dead person play tricks?”

He suddenly shuddered and held the back of his neck in fear. “Who is it?! Who’s playing tricks?!”

I had never seen him this frightened, and it filled me with joy. I sneered and flew up behind him. “A spirit’s trying to play tricks on you, my dear Jaxon,” I added.
