"I...I didn't," I stuttered, sounding extremely guilty.

"Is that so?" She raised an eyebrow, clearly not entirely convinced. "Why was your face so red when you came out of Sebastian's office that morning?"

Oh no, my lemonade excuse didn't seem to have dispelled her suspicions. My heart pounded as I struggled to find a reasonable explanation for my unnatural behavior.

"You can't come up with an answer?" she pressed, her eyes narrowing, like a leopard fixated on its prey.

"N-n-no, I was just... I was just remembering the situation," I waved my hand, nervously swallowing, offering a feeble explanation, "Sebastian... I mean, Alpha King called me into his office. I was nervous at the time. I hold Alpha King in great awe. Meeting him alone made me very anxious."

I bluffed. If she didn't believe me, I was doomed.

Yet, Yetta remained expressionless. She adjusted the angle of her bow slightly to the right, her finger loosened, and her sword was unsheathed. There was a whoosh, and a gust of win
