Ronan’s POV

“Relax.” Timon urged as I kept stomping the floor, feeling a storm of rage building up inside me.

After hearing about Callum’s visit from Freya and also confirming from the guards that he came, I felt bad for not being around sooner. I would have dealt with him beyond imagination. He has a lot of nerve walking in here to accuse someone when he is a murderer.

I stopped abruptly and faced Timon. “I can’t relax. He might be my uncle, but I have had enough of his nonsense. Why didn’t you tell me sooner or send a letter?” I questioned him.

“Because I was worried you would end up doing like this. I was the first one he met halfway when he arrived and I questioned him turning him away. There is no way I would have informed you and the matter wouldn’t have escalated. You are the Alpha king, yes. But the council members are a force in the kingdom. And your uncle has them eating out of his palm.”

“Isn’t a known enemy better? We have been chasing clout for a year now, we might as wel

Author’s POVCallum heaved in pain as it struck him on the side very hard. He let out a string of curses. Imaginations ran wild in his head on what he would do to the person who had the guts to attack him. One of his men walked in with a bow.“Have you found anyone who might have had something to do with the attack around that time?” Callum asked. The man shook his head with his hands folded behind him. “Nothing yet, my lord. But we know now that none of the people from the palace had anything to do with it.”He gnashed his teeth against each other. “You can go. And make sure you keep searching for the bastard.”Struggling to his feet, Callum staggered to get the half-drunk whiskey bottle on the table. Ignoring the doctor’s warning, he drank everything in one go. His body weighed off to the back and he ended up on the floor. He shut his eyes and inhaled sharply, cursing himself out.He has never been known to make silly mistakes before. Not only did he push Freya away with his accusat

Ronan’s POV“How did you know he was going to take the bait?” Timon asked as he walked into the study.I raised a confused brow, “what are you talking about?”“Elder James went to your uncle’s house today and he spent some time in there before leaving. What do you think they discussed?”I shrugged. “You don’t expect me to know that, do you? I only pieced two and two together. It's not like I am very sure of what they might be up to.”He chuckled lightly and pulled out a chair to sit in. “I have a feeling you might know a lot more than you are letting on. What started all of this in the first place? What do you stand to gain? Elder Callum had threatened the royal household and yet he is still roaming freely. What is going on?”“Ask one question at a time,” I said with a sniff.I can’t exactly tell what I am up to regarding my uncle. But his unexpected attitude towards Aunt Celine when she was alive makes me feel doubtful of everything he claimed to be. I have been concerned about the d

Ronan’s POVIsla isn’t supposed to be here. But that isn’t the case right now. I am waiting for the doctor to revive her to hear what she has to say about my son. I kept pacing the room back and forth feeling restless. If Timon had not stopped me, I would have raced to the village where Fiona and my son were. He assured me he would get in touch with the men appointed to guard them to know what might be happening.“Your majesty.” The doctor called out to me.“What is wrong with her?” I inquired.“She is dehydrated and passed out due to exhaustion. She must have been running for a long while. She would be awake soon enough for you to speak to her.” He said. “I will take my leave now, Your Highness.”“Thank you, doctor.” I patted his back before moving on to Isla. “Isla what is wrong with my son?” I questioned forgetting that she was just recovering herself.Isla managed to sit up, her lips were parched. “The prince developed a severe fever and has been turning white. Author’s POVFreya slammed the door violently as she breathed with difficulty. She felt a tight sensation in her chest. She stretched out her hand to hold onto the couch. It took a while for her breathing to remain stable.“Your majesty, is everything okay?” Ava hurried into the room.“Help me to the bed,” Freya instructed.“What happened? One of the maids told me you didn’t look too well, that was why I came. I shouldn’t have left you by yourself. Do you need me to call the doctor?”“Stop it, Ava. I am fine.”“Okay.” The older woman drawled doubtfully.“She has to die. This time I want her out of Ronan’s life and I do not care if the child follows suit.” She gritted.Freya couldn’t get the look Ronan had in his eyes off her memory when he was talking about Fiona. He didn’t even stutter, admitting she was the one after his heart. Even though the fact had been known to her for a long time. It still doesn’t mean she has accepted it. She needs Ronan more than ever, especially now that sh

Fiona’s POV“How is he?” I asked the doctor for like the tenth time in five seconds. The old man stared at me patiently. “He will be fine, my lady. This sort of illness is common with children of his age. But I will request that you be vigilant. Even though it is common, their lives are also prone to danger. Make sure he takes all of the herbs that I have given to you. I will check back on him in two days. But if there is anything worrisome going on in his body, please let me know.” The doctor said.I nodded slowly and mumbled a thank you. I was on the verge of going to Abian village to get the village doctor, Inna. Louis had suddenly developed a fever and he was turning blue at the same time. My head felt like it would explode. We couldn’t just call out to anyone because of our supposed safety.I kept reaching out to Ronan through the mind link. And just like the first time I had reached out to him when he returned to the palace and I had been ignored, it happened again. Isla had dec

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 165

Ronan’s POVFiona wouldn’t talk to him unless it had something to do with our son. I don’t know how else to tell her that I do not understand what is happening. Why would Freya have such cold intentions when she knows that the child is mine? Did jealousy get the best of her? I have to return to the palace as soon as I can. Since Fiona won’t say anything more. I should be on the move then.“My love…..” I drawled from the door with Dawn next to me.Fiona had Louis in hand, cradling him. “What do you want, Ronan?”“I have to return to the palace. But I have instructed the guards to keep a close eye on you all and the doctor. I will be back soon.”She didn’t bother to look to my side and only nodded. Dawn gave me a pitiful glance.“Let me see you to the entrance.” Dawn offered.“Thanks. Please help me keep a close eye on her. She isn’t in her best state of mind.”“Don’t worry yourself, uncle. I will take care of her.” She assured.I stopped in my tracks to face her. “Dawn, do you not miss

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 166

Ronan’s POVIsla looked pale after her confession. I twitched my nose while trying to understand her words. It’s almost unbelievable that Freya would partake in the killing of someone.“How long has this been going on?” I inquired. With her head bowed, she sniffed. “Since she found out that you and Lady Fiona might be having affection towards each other. She would have made it happen earlier, but she wanted to save the child. Just so only you two would be in his life.”“Why would you agree to such a thing?” I know it is not her fault but I can’t help it.“She had promised to get my son back and grant me another thing I desire if I did it. However, I got to know Fiona and realized she was just a victim of circumstance like I was. She would have avoided the situation if it was in her power. I was at a crossroads at the time you called me to your study to ask if I needed anything. Your help with no strings attached made me come back to my senses, Your Highness. I promise I had no intenti

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 167

Author’s POV“Freya?” Ronan mumbled, masking the surprise he felt.Freya looked between the king and Timon. She had a feeling Timon would open his big mouth to tell Ronan about what he had seen in Isla’s room. The intention was to explain her own side of the story before the actual truth came out.“I will excuse myself,” Timon said as he rose up to leave.“You shouldn’t be standing, Freya. Take a seat.” He husband urged. She folded her arms with a raised brow. “Is everything alright? Why are you in bed at this time of the day?”Ronan shifted. He had totally forgotten about what happened to him. Timon must have done a good job at making sure no one else in the palace knew of his fall. He thought that was what brought Freya over.He shrugged. “I just wanted to take a rest. It's been a long day. Why are you here?”“Does it bother you? Or because you feel bad since you were talking about me.” Freya retorted.“Yes, we were. I didn’t realize I had to take permission before talking about you

Ronan’s POVLouis let out his loud childish laugh as I tickled his side. It feels so good to finally get the chance to play with my child. We have gotten closer as it should be. He has stuffed himself with every sweet chewables the party has to offer. I have a feeling Isla would have a hard time putting him to bed.“So sorry, Your Highness. I will take him now.” Isla pleaded.“It is alright, Isla. Thank you. Where is my wife?”“She is getting changed.”“Alright, thank you.”After the usual open ceremony that involved every member of the Nestorian kingdom, Fiona was crowned as the Luna Queen. We returned to the palace to celebrate with a ball, ushering in anyone who desired to attend. Fiona made the most beautiful bride I have ever seen in her wedding dress. I wish we didn’t have to be so engaged in honoring our guests and just have her to myself.“Wow, he is, the man of the hour.” Timon teased sitting next to me.“I have been looking around for you. Where have you been?” I questioned.

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 179

Fiona’s POVI glanced discreetly at Ronan and smiled to myself. He looks much better than he was a month ago. When Lord Timon arrived with a carriage saying we were returning to the palace, I thought it was a joke. I had almost given up on the thought that we would ever get to return since Ronan never seemed to have an answer. When we arrived there was a lot of acknowledgment from the very people who didn’t care to see me. I never knew Ronan’s uncle and didn’t think too highly of him after hearing about all that he did. What I didn’t expect was the situation of Freya. It was okay when she plotted to have me dead, but shocking at her intention to kill Ronan. You never know what people are capable of. Dawn didn’t appear too concerned about the death of her father, but she finally got the chance to mourn her mother properly.I felt sorry for Dawn and Ronan, even though my experience wasn’t as epic as theirs. I do know what it feels like to have the ones you trust to play on your heart an

Ronan’s POVMy entire world felt like a lie. I still can’t get over everything that Elder Callum expressed. To think I felt guilty for ever suspecting him. All the while I had sleepless nights and battled for my life, he was plotting against me.“Why don’t you go back to the palace, Your Majesty, and let me sort this out,” Timon said.I shook my head feeling a nasty ache making its way to my head. “No, please, I want to see for myself.” I insisted. We were headed for Elder Callum’s house to search properly this time. Even though I still can’t get over the shock of all that he said and his death, I want to get a glimpse of everything. The house was agog when we arrived. All of the maids and guards looked on in fear as Timon and his men searched every room in the house. The remains of Aunt Celine were the first thing that was found. Callum had it wrapped up in a bag and put it into the room she had slept in when she was alive. It was obvious that it was her from the burnt remains of her

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 177

Author’s POVThere was an eerie feeling in the air as Ronan moved through the woods stealthily. He could sense some presence behind the thick bushes, and even though whoever it was did try to hide its scent, he caught a whiff of it and it almost seemed familiar. He should have listened to Timon who advised that he took a carriage to meet with his family. But something told him to go his usual route. He halted his steps to listen to be sure he heard right. All of sudden a big wolf matching his frame jumped at him from nowhere sinking his teeth into Ronan’s upper body, but he missed and only got to tear out a bit of his fur. Before he could get a grip on the situation, the attacker pushed him to the ground aiming for his neck vein. Ronan fought hard and gave the wolf a wild kick that sent him reeling backward.Ronan hurried to his feet, gnashing his teeth at his attacker. Just then the attacker shifted into their form leaving Ronan in shock. Callum turned out to be the one behind the wo

Ronan’s POVSomeone banged recklessly on the door waking me up roughly from my sleep. I have barely gotten an hour of sleep in. My mind has been laced heavily with thoughts that had prevented me from sleeping at the due time. Groaning, I sat up with my back bent. It's actually morning, how long was I asleep?Timon made his way in, bowing slightly towards me. “Your majesty,”“Really? Why would you hit on the door like that?” I questioned.“It was not my doing. Ava was at the door.”“Has she lost her mind? Where are the guards when you need them to do their jobs? Why wake me up so early in the morning?”“It's not exactly morning your majesty. It is way past noon. Are you alright? You don’t look well rested.”I rubbed my forehead, staring intently at the wall. “Something is coming, Timon. But I do not know what it is and my heart is burdened. I couldn’t get any sleep because of it. If anything goes wrong please protect my family.”He sighed. “Don’t be like that, we will resolve whatever

Ronan’s POV“Where is that bastard?” Levi yelled as he stormed my study.Three guards stood behind him ready to strike at my order. They must have restrained themselves since he is my in-law. I nodded towards them to excuse us. Timon gave me a questioning nod.“What is all this about Levi?” I inquired.“Oh, really? So you do not know what all this is about? Where is my sister, Ronan? Did you have your child bearer skin her alive? So what if she tried to kill her? Isn’t she an intruder in the first place? You should be ashamed of yourself for picking a mere stranger over your mate.” He ranted.I exchanged a confused look with Timon before looking back at the fuming man. “What you are saying now is that you do not see any wrong in what your sister did?”“Yes, and for what it is worth, you are to blame. If you didn’t turn away from her and make her feel unneeded she wouldn’t have gone that far. But what excuse do you have now that she is carrying your child and your child bearer is very

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 174

Author’s POV“Freya?” Callum called out. No response came. He rubbed at his neck in discomfort and moved closer. She was unmoving and blood appeared to be flowing from her head to the ground. He gulped hard and felt her pulse. Callum cursed under his breath at the eventuality of his action. Not only had her breath seized, she couldn’t be revived. Freya was dead. Covering his eyes with both hands, he groaned like a wounded lion. This wasn’t supposed to end like that. The only death he intends to have on his hands next is Ronan’s.His breath hitched at every passing second. Rising to his feet, he took in a deep breath to calm himself. There is no need to start hyperventilating when the deed has already been done. First, he has to get her cleaned up and find a way to dispose of her body, but then it will take a lot of work. If anyone gets to know that the queen is missing, it won’t take long for her to be traced down to him.Callum searched around for anything that would do to stuff her

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 173

Author’s POVFreya gasped for breath like she had been hit in the chest. Nothing prepared her for the murderous look in his eyes. She could sense the irritation in his expression. Her legs wobbled and her lips quivered. Ronan was supposed to be obsessed with her now that she was pregnant. He is meant to cherish her like no other. Instead, he appears to be disgusted by her.She pulled at her hair with shaky hands. A muffled scream escaped her lips, she tried hard to let it all out but nothing came. The tears rolled down her face, almost blinding her. Freya sat still just staring blankly into space. It is as if every time she tries to give Ronan a chance to amend his ways, he walks onto the destructive path.Regret creeps in as she thinks of Callum. He had been the only one who came to her rescue and assured her of a secure future. Instead of making sure their relationship is sealed and they have themselves to count on. She plotted his death. All because of Ronan. The more she thought a

Ronan’s POV“You didn’t find anything?” I asked Timon for the umpteenth time like my ears had gone deaf.He bowed his head, “I am sorry, Your Majesty. I must have gotten the wrong information.”Ruffling my hair, I sank onto the couch feeling an unexplained exhaustion. I had eventually hurried back to the palace in the hope that Timon would catch onto something. Even though we do have a missing knife to prove that my uncle had something to do with his friend's death, it is not enough to accuse him of killing his wife.Even though it doesn’t sound right, I am beginning to hope he might have a link to the enemy tormenting me. It probably was Elder James. What if my uncle was trying to defend me? Won’t it be wrong of me to be so hard on a person who is more like my parent?Timon dragged a foot on the ground. “Please say something.”I held his gaze, shrugging. “I really wish I could say something to you, but I do not know what to say. I must admit that I was eager to hear the outcome of yo
