Not Holding Back

Thea hung up the phone checking on their orders again to make sure that she got everything right. Ordering for three men beside her and Pen was tiresome, but it was a much-preferred duty than being stuck with retelling the horrid story that she didn’t want to remember.

Pen shefted beside her and Thea looked at her to find her still with a cold towel over her eyes. She was about to faint when they left the kitchen and Thea had to do some pretty fast calming routine to get her out of the trance she was in.

“You think he will leave?” Pen asked after a few moments of silence.

Thea remembered Haden’s pale horrified face when he heard their story and the way he clenched his fists in anger for them.

“I think he will stay…” Thea finally said.

Pen removed the towel from her eyes and sat up looking at Thea with wide eyes.

“You think so?” She insisted and Thea smiled looking away from her friend only for her eyes to fall on the door.
