Betrayal

Thea sat down before her uncle as he sipped from his coffee not bothering to look at her. She eyed him for a moment noting how different he was since the last time she saw him, unlike then, he looked a bit on the disheveled side having lost weight and not replaced his suit, it looked like it was a bit too big for him.

Under his eyes she could see the bags forming there like a sign of overwork and misfortune, somehow she felt a bit sorry for the man. Even though it was all brought on by his actions, she didn’t want him to end up like this… Maybe she should have asked Sofia to tone down her ire a little bit on him, Thea even heard that his company crumbled to the ground and almost went bankrupt.

“You look like you’ve been enjoying life so far…” He trailed off as he looked at her with the same glare he gave her back then.
