Idiotic Actions

Lucian reached out for the alarm clock sighing as he sat up in his bed and looked at the darkened spare room. It was cold and lonely, unlike the room in which he used to sleep with Thea.

For the hundredth time, he lamented his decision to have separate beds. He did have a good reason for that, but now that he was feeling the harshness of withdrawal symptoms, and needed Thea by his side. His plan seemed more foolish and pointless each day.

As he walked toward the bathroom to shower, the image of Thea’s beautiful curves under his hands assaulted him like a punch in the guts. He groaned as he looked down at himself, when was the last time he was having such a hard time controlling himself like this? He wasn’t a teenager anymore, he needed to pull himself together.

Thea was going to end up thinking that this is all he wanted from her. As soon as he talked to his mother and she started complaining about his father, she told him something that made him pause.
