The Golden Ornament

It felt like immense pain and fire at the same time. It hurt like nothing he had ever felt before but he did not scream.

He did not dare to scream.

He believed he deserved it for losing her the first time.

For making her suffer just because he could not be grown and show what and how he felt.

For his foolish decisions.

Instead a smile broke out on his face, at the thought that this great pain had at least made him pay for his mistakes.

The little shiny gold ornament shined through the blood in his chest. The sight, a pain and a relief.

The immediate physical pain of digging into his hear for it, and the the relief of knowing that he finally can get to his princess.

He knew that the healing would be slow and painful, but it was worth it, he thought as the little hole in his heart began to heal.
