Prologue

Freya has subsequently returned to her former employer, where she worked as an architect and Astraea her daughter easily adjusted to the new atmosphere after they returned to the New Jersey a month ago.

"Mommy! "Freya instantly shifted her gaze to Astraea.

"Yes, baby?She inquired, smiling.

"It's Saturday means we're going to the mall!," Astraea exclaimed enthusiastically as she clapped.

" So, what exactly do you want us to do?

Freya asked while fixing Astraea's hair, which continues to obscure her vision.

"Do you have a spot you wish to go to?" She can see that Astraea is eager to share her plans with her.

"Yes, mommy, I have somewhere I'd like to go. The mall is close to your workplace, and it has a play ville for kids like me." with a smile on Astraea's face, her daughter said.

"Ok then, we will go there," Freya said while carrying Astraea to the bathroom, "but you should take a bath first, ok?"

As soon as Astraea finished her bath, Freya dressed her and dried her hair.

"I hope we see Dad." Astraea said out of the blue moon and looked at her, waiting for her response.

"Didn't you say, Mom, that Daddy is here in the New Jersey? " When she heard Astraea's question, she averted her gaze from her daughter because she didn't want to answer her question.

"Baby, we've already talked about this, haven't we?" Freya sadly replied to her daughter as she caressed her cheek.

She saw the sadness on Astraea's face while saying, "Yes, I know Daddy is busy working for my future, but why can't he make time for us?Doesn't Daddy love us? " Astraea asked, whispering, but she heard it, and it broke her heart to think that her daughter was eager to see her father.

"Your father adores you, Astraea. It doesn't imply that he doesn't love you because he isn't here." She cupped her daughter's face in her hands. "Okay, keep that in mind at all times." Freya kissed Astraea on the forehead and smiled, trying to lighten the atmosphere.

"I have my doubts, Mom, but don't worry, I won't be upset for long." Astraea smiled and added, "You're here for me, and that's the most important thing to me," but Freya knew it wasn't true; Astraea simply understood the situation.

After talking to Astraea, she immediately took a bath. While in the shower, she couldn't get what Astraea said out of her mind, but she didn't want to hurt her daughter. She could not afford to risk it, especially since Zeus Astraea's father was already married to another woman, and she knew her daughter would be hurt when she found out the truth.

When she finished getting dressed, they immediately went to the garage to get the car. She knew that Astraea was excited, so she immediately drove the car to their destination.

Astraea pointed out the play village as soon as they arrived at the mall. She immediately paid and accompanied Astraea into the playville.

"Be careful, baby," she said, as she sat on a toy-filled mat. "Go play," I said, smiling. "Mommy will just keep an eye on you." Astraea plays till she gets tired, then runs back to her with a contented expression on her face.

"I'm starving, Mom. " Astraea pouted. She chuckled at her daughter's expression.

"All right, where would you like to eat?"

Freya inquired as she wiped away Astraea's sweat.

I want to eat some cupcakes mommy, "Astraea said while caressing her stomach.

"Ok then, let's go, let's eat" She was holding Astraea's hand as she looked for a spot to dine, and when she came across a bistro serving cupcakes and other delicacies, she instantly had her daughter sit in the chair.

"Stay here, OK? Mommy's going to order your favorite cupcake." Astraea nodded, and as she walked to the counter, her phone rang, and it was Shawn, her brother.

Her brother's strict voice was the first thing to dawn on her. "Freya Elise Ilustre, why didn't you let me know that you came home to the New Jersey? I thought you and Astraea were just going on vacation to Spain." She already knew that her brother was already mad at her because he had already said her full name.

"I didn't tell you that we went home to the New Jersey because you were busy with your business trips and, besides, I know you won't let us." She said in a calm voice, trying to ease the anger that her brother felt towards her.

"Now tell me, if you and Zeus meet, what will you do? Aren't you thinking? Zeus lives in the New Jersey. " She could feel how her brother was furious at the moment, but that didn't stop her. She wouldn't go home.

"Brother, I just crossed the bridge when I got there. Okay, don't worry, I know what I'm doing and I will not let anything bad happen to my daughter, so please trust me on this one. " Freya knows that her brother wants to protect her, but she is no longer young; she can protect herself.

"Fine, I will let you, but you must update me every day, okay?" Freya sighs in defeat because she has no choice but to agree to her brother's condition.

After their talk, her brother Shawn quickly said farewell, and while she was at the counter, she ordered what Astraea requested. She headed straight to their table after receiving her order. She was shocked when she didn't see Astraea on their table. She immediately left the bistro to find her daughter.The fear of losing her child drives her insane. She searched everywhere to find Astraea.

[ZEUS POV]

Zeus was engrossed in reading his secretary's message and it said his father was waiting for him at the office, so his secretary was sending him back. He was about to walk but someone caught his attention as he stood at the entrance of a restaurant where he planned to eat.

"Excuse me, sir," the kid said, capturing her attention with her magnificent emerald green eyes, which perfectly matched her lovely face.

"Earlier, your handkerchief fell off when you were walking. I followed you so I could give it back to you. " The child handed him the handkerchief, and he stood there staring at the kid in front of him. He felt something when he saw the kid that he couldn't explain, and he was back in realization when the kid spoke.

"Is there something on my face, sir? The kid said while looking at him.

"Ahm, can I know your name?" He didn't know why that was the first thing that came out of his mouth.

"I'm Astraea, Sir." Zeus was just staring at it while the kid was speaking.

"Thank you for returning my handkerchief Astraea. Don't call me sir, just call me Tito Zeus, "Zeus said as he knelt down to see her face well.

"You're welcome, Tito Zeus," she replied with a smile.

"Ahm Tito Zeus, I need to go. For sure, my mom is already looking for me." Aatraea said that while looking around, Zeus noticed that something was off.

"Is there anything wrong, "Zeus asked while looking into her green eyes.

The kid looked at him shyly and said, "I can't remember the way back to the bistro where we ate."

"I can help you find your way back." He said while looking at her, he saw worry on Astraea's face.He didn't want to see the child sad, so he said he would help her.

"Really?" Zeus saw happiness in Astraea's eyes. He didn't know why this kid had a different effect on him.Seeing her smile makes her heart swell with delight.

He nodded and smiled in response."Do you mind if I carry you? You might get tired, "he asked. Astraea immediately nodded.

While walking and touring the whole mall to find Astraea's mom, Zeus asked her, "Can I ask what your mom looks like?"

"My mom is a beauty." Astraea said right away, "She has chocolate-like eyes, a pointed nose, and my mom also has a three-flesh mole in her cupid's bow lips." Astraea replied while looking into his eyes. But suddenly, Astraea's eyes widened as if she had noticed something in my face.

"Wow, we have the same eye color!" He was also stunned by what Astraea said.

"Ahm, yeah, your eyes are beautiful." He didn't know what to say at that moment until he heard Astraea speak again.

Astraea stated proudly, "Mommy said I inherited my green eyes from my father," but why could he feel the grief in Astraea's voice as she said those words.

He was about to ask Astraea why she was sad when she suddenly shouted, "Mommy! Mommy!" Astraea was waving her hands and he was still carrying her, so he turned around to see the woman she called "mommy."He was taken aback when he recognized the woman. It had been 6 years since she last saw her. She was more beautiful than before. She felt his heart beat so fast, especially when it came close to them and he saw the shock and fear in its eyes.

[FREYA POV]

When she saw the man holding her child, her eyes widened. She's at a loss for words at the moment.While looking at him intently, he realized he looked dashing in his suit, and he still had those emerald green eyes that made her fall for him before. She seemed to be hypnotized because she had been staring at him for so long. When she regained consciousness, she took Astraea from the man she didn't want to see any more.

"Where have you been, baby? I was worried about you; I told you to just remain there," she said as she hugged her daughter passionately.

"Mommy, I'm sorry; I saw Tito Zeus drop his handkerchief and return it to him, only to realize I didn't know how to get back to the bistro where we were supposed to eat," Astraea said, pouting.

"Don't do that again. OK, you're making Mommy worried. " She hugged Astraea and turned to Zeus and said, "Thank you."

But Zeus didn't mind what she said. Instead, he asked while looking at Astraea. "Is she your daughter?"

She was taken aback by what Zeus asked, but she still answered it with bravery in her eyes. "Yes, she's my daughter."

"She has beautiful green eyes," Zeus said in a whispered voice.

She ignored what Zeus said and quickly said goodbye. "We're leaving. Thank you again. " She didn't wait for his reply; she immediately turned her back on it while carrying her daughter.

"Wait!" She stopped walking when she heard Zeus' voice. "This, I believe, is yours." She turned and was shocked to see what Zeus was holding. It was a necklace that Zeus had given to her when they were still together.

"That's mine, Tito Zeus. My daddy gave me that. "

"Y-your D-Dad? " Zeus asks, stuttering. Astraea immediately nods.

Her legs trembled because Zeus suddenly looked at her with frigid eyes.

"We need to go." She immediately took the necklace from Zeus and walked away. Her heart was pounding so fast because she knew Zeus would know the truth if he wanted to, and that's what she was afraid of.

She didn't know what to do next. Now that they see each other should they run again? Should they hide again from the billionaire?
