Chapter 1605

After dealing with Angus, Henry took out a vial of corpse-dissolving powder and expertly applied it to the two bodies. Within moments, the corpses dissolved into mere puddles of liquid.

He then glanced at Lydia, who remained composed. She had been somewhat prepared for that sight. Even though there was a hint of unease in her eyes, Lydia stayed calm, her gaze toward Henry soft and relaxed.

When Henry noticed Lydia was fine, he turned his attention to William and Jennifer. The two visibly paled as Henry's gaze fell upon them.

Having just witnessed him kill two people without hesitation, they were torn between relief that the danger was over and terror at how easily Henry had disposed of the bodies, clearly indicating he had done that many times before. The realization that Henry was a ruthless killer filled them with dread, especially given that moments earlier, they had tried to shift all responsibility onto him.
