Chapter Two

"Wake up" I jolted up, my body dripped of sweat as I panted, my heart was beating so rapidly. The sound of my room door shutting made me jump and look around.

"Earth to Aries" Cassie waved her hands in front of my face, I looked at her with cold eyes. I stood and walked over to the dispenser to get a glass of water, the whole thing kept playing in my head, I ran my hands through my already messy hair that stuck to my body due to sweat as I pondered on the dream.

What the hell was that?

I looked at the clock to see it was 7:30am I am supposed to be at the office by 9 sharp. I rushed into the bathroom and turned in the shower, I stripped out of my pyjamas and got into the hot water. I got out of the shower with a white towel wrapped around my body. After I was all dried up, I got into a green floral shirt, a black leather like pencil skirt then tucked in. I sat at the vanity that was in my walk in closet, as I blow dried and curled my hair, just to look extra nice for work, since I was obviously going to be late, so why can't I be fashionably late.

I took in my reflection in the mirror, pays to be a pretty girl. I didn't bother with makeup, cause who needs makeup when you have a flawless pretty face like mine, I got into a black pair of stiletto heels. I looked at myself in the mirror and made sure I was dressed well. I glanced at the clock and saw it was 8:40am, shit I'm late.

I rushed down the stairs into the dinning room where all my brothers were fitted with Cassie all rating breakfast. I snatched a toast from Cassie's plate before dashing out the house.

"Bye" I said and rushed out the house.

I lived amongst werewolves, which mean I stayed for from the human world. Obviously the human's had no idea we existed. They all think we are a myth or something. There was only two kind of people who knew about our existence, the vampires and witches, but we never got across to one another, we all just stayed within our boundaries , we don't meet them, they don't meet us.

I got into my black Toyota corolla sport car, I needed to go simple, the last thing I needed was some nosey human sticking in my business and asking stupid ass questions. I sped down the highway, sped was an over statement, the car kept stopping along the road, I was only minutes away from the office, the car backfired again. This was the little consequence I had to suffer for my actions and dad was basically punishing me for refusing to join the family business, and most importantly I couldn't come off flashy, what do you think people would say, when they see a random office receptionist driving a freaking Ferrari.

I finally got to the office, when I checked the time it was 8:55am, I waited for the elevator to get to the 8th floor, which was where my office stand was. I decided to grab a cup of coffee and donut as I headed to the stand. I saw the double door entrance as I got to the main floor, standing on both sides of the doors, I greeted the two body guards standing by the door as I walked past then and went to the front desk.

A blonde lady sat on the chair beside the front desk, her hair was packed into a high pony tail and her lips were painted red. Her office wear was similar to mine, she had a name tag pinned on her left breast *Dona Telio*, she was busy with the fashion magazine in her hand.

"So early of you to show up" I rolled my eyes at her statement. Dona had a petite figure. I was taller than her with a few inches.

"That's me" I replied, I knew I was late which was all because of a certain best friend of mine.

Dona looked at me with the stern expression she had on her face

"You are late" she said walking up to me.

"You know Aries, Mr Donald Tyler retired and another one has come in his place"

"Soo?? " I asked sipping on my coffee.

"No reason, I need you to submit these files to the CEO's office, Judith  is on her maternity break and so you have to do her duties for the main time" Dona handed me a bunch of envelope and waved me off to the elevator, I got up to the CEO's cabin, I straighten my blouse and skirt as I knocked on the door.

"Come in" a deep voice said.

I walked into the room and saw a man sitted behind the desk, his back turned towards me.

"You asked for some file, I have them with me" I told him.

"Have they been put in a folder?" he asked not even sparing me a glance.

"Yes they have"

"What else are you then waiting for? A peck on the cheek? " he said.

That irritated me. I get that you are the new CEO, but that doesn't mean I'm some kind of puppet that he could just control, just simply because I work for him. What a proud prick.

"I'm sorry sir" I gritted my teeth and walked out the room.

"Aries, you don't just get to storm out of my office and do you expect me t go through the files all by myself?, Now get the files and sort them out",He ordered me.

What a dick head.

I sat on the couch in the office and separated the copies of the files and put them in different folders.

I continued arranging the files when I saw a large figure in front of me, I looked up and Axel was standing right in front of me, he was tall and largely built. His chest wide set and toned, and his chest wide set and toned , he wore a red suit: which was tight over his muscular body, my eyes went up, he looked good, even though his face was void from all emotion, he still managed to look handsome, it was like I was starring at a Demi god, he was by far the most handsome looking man I have ever seen, except from my brothers and cute nephews. His hair was jet black colour which was gelled into perfection. He starred down at me and I was lost into his eyes, he had the colour of a plush greenish flower in Summer.

I was terrified, I had never met a man more scarier in my life, he reminded me so much of my dad. I gulped nervously as I made eye contact with him, I couldn't help blush by the intensity.

"Aries?" He called out. The way my name came out from his lips sounded so sexy, I could feel my cheek turn red, he smirked and laughed,"you look cute when you blush" he commented then went back to sit behind his desk.

After I was done with all the files, I walked out the cabin because Axel was no where to be seen. It was 5:30pm when I finished all my work, I cleared the rest of my desk, took my bag and handed down the elevator to the underground garage where my car was parked.

"Take me back, I'm in love with you" a lady's voice echoed in the narrow passage of the underground garage, I was on my way towards my parked car when I heard, a lady's voice crying out.

"You love me? " I heard a deep husky voice and I immediately recongised it. The voice sounded so intimidating, his voice was cold and heartless.

"Babe" The lady said again

"I love you Axel with all my heart"

"You have never called me babe before, so stop trying to sound all romantic" Axel stated, his eyes glaring straight at the lady.

The lady looked slightly taken back by his tone of voice.

"What are you saying?" the lady sounded so emotional, she looked like she was at the verge of breaking down. Tears spilled down her eyes, and stained her already made up face as she tried to mutter some words

"B... Bu... But"

"Please save your pathetic tears for the press, you would need it, we made a deal, I help you become a big shot in the entertainment industry as an Appreciation for saving my niece from that truck but you were the one who chose to see this all as a relationship" Axel stated looking annoyed, his jaw set on hard.

I gasp in disbelief, a deal?, theses humans are so dispeakable, faking a relationship just to please the public? What would people not do for a couple thousands of dollars.
