Chapter Four

"I'm Michel Rodriguez CEO of Rodriguez Holmes and suites, I'm sure you know me" Mr Rodriguez said

"This is Roma Rodriguez my daughter and business partner" he pointed at the brunette sorted opposite me

"And that's Mr kyle". I nodded as Axel introduced me and other employees present at the meeting.

Then the meeting started.

The meeting ended at exactly 12 pm. Everyone let go a sigh of relief, slowly got up from their sits and left the to in an orderly manner. A few minutes later, I was already back in my office,i mean my temporary office until Judith comes back. I sat behind my desk and reflected on the things sad in the meeting, Axel asked me to construct the minutes of the meeting properly and submit it to him by 1:30 pm. I decided to get down to work, I'm surely not in the mood to get scolded by Axel. While writing, I noticed a pile if files on top of my desk, skimming through them, I slammed each file down in anger, what the actual fuck is this? No wonder all his secretaries quiet on him, how do you expect one person to do so many work at the same time.

Taking a deep calming breath, I sat down and took out my phone from my bag. Looking through my contact list, I dialed Axel's number but as usual Axel didn't pick up, apparently he doesn't like answering his phone, which would have to change as long as i'm still his secretary. I ended the call and started lookimg through Axel's schedule for the day, he had no meeting or anything serious. I dialed his number again for the fifth time. I wondered if he was ditching work, and if he was, how dare hee !!!. Tapping my fingers on the table, I waited for a while to see if he would pick, only to receive his voice mail.

After a few mins, i checked to see if I got any calls from him, nothing. I guess he really is ditching work. There has to be something wrong with this dude, if he thought I would just stay here in my office and let him boss me around as he pleases, then he's probably high on drugs and wrongly mistaken. I'm the only daughter of a legacy Alpha, the one everyone in the park is scared of, no one dares boss me around and what makes him think he could do so

I finished all my work and any other work that had been placed on my desk and submitted it all on his desk. I blew out a sigh in frustration. What was the point if being the CEO of a company, when he was hardly around the premises. I'm going to give him a piece if my mind when he decides to show himself.

I packed my stuffs and closed the office. The floor I was in was almost empty, there was about three to five people there, I said my goodbyes to everyone then walked to the elevator and pressed '1st'. I got out after hearing the 'ding' sound. Cassie had come to pick up the car earlier, so I walked home. I got coffee to keep me energised as I walk home. I sipped my coffee as I walked through the forest, the leaves were falling one by one as I walked by, the rod was filled with dried leaves that had fallen from the trees. The wind pushed more leaves from the tree to drop on the path way making the cloud more visible through the naked trees.

After about thirty minutes of walking, I let out a sigh of relief as inara pack, which was my territory came into view. I looked around the very familiar surrounding, about a hundred houses were lined up in a straight lines if the street, each street has a maximum of 10 houses on each side, a few shops slottening between the houses. The entire environment was clear, no litter around,no vandalism or graffiti. It was just perfect. Ever since I was a child I had always been obsessed with cleanliness and orderliness, you could call me OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), I think I got it from my mom, at the age if four my mom had already taught me how to clean up after myself, fold my clothes and arrange then accordingly.

As I continued walking, I saw a couple of wolves outside,older wolves were seated outside, watching other pups. Kids were playing around, couples walking hand in hand enjoying the soothing even breeze.

A slight breeze whispered along the trees and teases more leaves to release their tentative hold. I smiled and continued walking. Now I regret allowing Cassie talk me into giving her the car, I still had s long way to go, my house was situated at the end if the village.

"How does it feel to work for a human?" Zions voice came from behind me.

I turned around and saw him leaning on one of the trees with his arms crossed, I ran and hugged him.

He was one of my few friends. Zion and I have been friends since the 8th grade. He was a really nice guy, he had a good amount of muscles, he was really tall, about 6 foot 2, he would always tease me about how hot I was because I was 5 foot 4, he had chestnut Brown hair and very cute hazel eyes that one could get lost in. He had a strong chin and had a stubble on his chin above his lip. To be honest, Zion was a very attractive guy.

I smiled "Good, just that my new boss is a total douchebag" Zion laugh, it sounded so intimidating, so husky.

"Well I have a way to cheer you up, some friends and I are going to the club tonight, want to join?" I didn't know how to tell him no. I opened my mouth to say something buy nothing came out.

Zion looked at me with concern "You ok Aries?" I nodded.

I gulped deeply as his hazel eyes pierced my body "I'm fine" I blurted.

To be honest, I was tired, emotionally drained and I had an awful headache coming on. I was surprised by Zions action, he picked me up. He was stronger, so I was not shocked when he lifted me without effort. Zion was larger than any man I had ever seen. Even larger than my brothers and dad combined, It was no surprise, he spent hs entire life weightlifting, I know this because we would always go up the gym everyday till we graduated. Zion may be considered to big for some people to find attractive, but it was his size that made him look intimidating to werewolves, to me, the more intimidating the person is, the more attractive, because they could protect us and they are obviously more stronger.

How ever, I didn't care if you were bigger or larger than me, because I can protect myself. Zion was a good looking and handsome guy, no one could deny that fact. He was considered as the Prince Charming of the while pack, every girl wanted to be with him and most guys were willing to turn gay just to be with him.

It felt comfortable to be in Zion's arms, it made me fell like a baby and I loved it. I snuggled closer to his hard chest, I can't remember the last time we were this close.

Last year mating ceremony, which was my first was meant to be the happiest day of my life but apparently turned out to be the worst, let's take a little trip down memory lane.

Every year, on the fourteenth of February, which was declared as the date for the mating ceremony for every she wolf from age 16 - 22, every pack meets on a neutral ground, a place between all packs for the mating ritual, the make wolves from all the different packs got the choice of selecting which she wolf striked their interest. Most females couldn't wait for the mating ritual, they all had hopes of being chosen by an Alpha or an Alphas beta. But alphas only mates with alphas. The one and only thing an alpha needs from him mate was strong pups and only an alpha female could grant then such wish.

On that very day I was dressed in a long back gown, which was tight at the top and flare from the waist downward reaching my feet, and there was a black net cape, that flowed from my neck to the ground, I had paired it with a silver ankle strap heel, which mom had gifted me that morning, once was done, I headed down stairs, where Cassie, soon and my mom were waiting for me. Oh yeah, it was also Cassie's first mating Ceremony. Sophia on the other hand found the whole ritual dumb and stupid, that's why she chose not go take part in it, which didn't go well with everyone.
