Liam’s POV

“Thank you for bringing me in,” I said to Emma, turning to look at her.

We were about five minutes into our trip back to the apartment and as much as I understood that she was still pissed at me, I hated the awkwardness of driving with her in the car in complete silence.

“Mhm,” she responded, focusing her attention on the road in front of us. “Don’t mention it,” she muttered after a couple of seconds.

While I was looking at her, I noticed she wasn’t wearing the same shorts and shirt she had been wearing earlier this morning when we were going at it with each other. She was now wearing a short pink dress and slippers, and she obviously didn’t change just to take me to the hospital, so it was clear she had a reason for being so dressed up. She was dressed like she was going out. To be fair, she did say she had somewhere to be before we left the hospital.

“Where are you going?” I blurted out my question, not thinking about the fact that it actually wasn’t my business where

Emma’s POV“Thanks for letting me stay here,” I said to Tony, snuggling closer to him as we lay on his bed together. “You’re welcome, babe,” he responded, planting a kiss on the top of my head. “So are you still not ready to tell me why you made this impromptu trip? I mean, it’s your first time over here and while I’m glad you’re here, I can’t help but be bothered by the fact it was unplanned”. I sighed, then sat up to face him. “I know. You’re right, but I’m just not in the mood to talk about it yet”. “Did something happen at home?”“No,” I answered, growing irritated with his line of questioning. “Was it Liam? Did you do something? Did he hurt you?”“I said no, Tony!” I snapped. “My God, can’t you just drop it?” I stood up from the bed and stormed out of the room, heading straight down the stairs and into the kitchen to grab myself a glass of water. “Is everything alright, ma’am?” Sylvia, his maid, asked me. “Everything is fine, Sylvia,” I said, letting out a breath I didn’t

Emma’s POVThose few days I was with Tony went by so fast but I at least enjoyed every minute of it. He was the sweetest to me during my stay, always taking me out to eat, and getting me something on his way home whenever he stepped out. Literally, no matter how little it was, even as little as a cute tote bag he’d see, he’d think of me and get it for me just because he hated the idea of coming back home to me empty-handed.Well, while that went well, I’m forced back to my reality again. It’s Tuesday morning and I’m on my way back to LA. I didn’t have to be at work physically from yesterday to today which was why I seized the opportunity to escape town, but I have a managers meeting I must be in attendance in tomorrow. Hence, why I have to get back home today. The drive back home wasn’t too long, thankfully. To be honest, even if it was long, I didn’t notice, considering I had myself distracted with so many thoughts. Many of which revolved around Liam and his family. As I got to thin

Emma’s POV“Good morning,” I greeted Sammy as I opened up the front door for her. “Morning, babes,” she greeted me as she hugged me. “It’s been a minute”. “Yes, ma’am”. “Hi, love,” Ryan greeted me, pulling me in for a hug. “I’ve missed you, tiny”. “I’ve missed you too,” I smiled. “Where’s Liam?” Sammy asked as we all walked into the living room together. “The hospital,” I answered, picking up the TV remote. “Huh?” “Oh he’s fine,” I said, turning my body halfway around to look at her. “He just went to get his bandages removed. He was being a pussy and didn’t want me to help him do it because he was scared I would snip off his fingers with the scissors,” I rolled my eyes. “He’s such a dumbass”. Ryan burst out laughing. “Honestly,” he started after he caught his breath. “You two should star in a reality TV show or something. You lot crack me up honestly”. “And how is that?” I asked him, turning my body around to face him, and folding my arms across my chest. “First of all, l

Emma’s POVUgh. Here we go again. In the past few months of Liam and I trying to navigate our way around what his father asked us to do, anytime Liam asks if we can ‘talk,’ no matter how the conversation starts, it always ends the same way, badly. Maybe it happens that way because the conversation starts with him asking if we can talk. Maybe that’s it. Because anytime he starts like that, I already know what the topic of the conversation is about, and I’m never wrong. It’s always about this whole giving birth thing, and it starts slowly and then gets heated, leading to one of us, mostly me, walking out on the other, making sure to slam a door for the effect, which would then lead to us not speaking to each other for the next two days. However, the last time we had this conversation was a week or so after I had come back from Tony’s place, back when Liam’s injury was still kind of fresh. We were talking and things got heated again, as always. This time, he was the one who walked out

Emma’s POVThe kiss went on for a while. At some point, he had pulled me all the way over to him such that I was straddling him with my arms wrapped around his neck as his hands roamed freely on my body. From my breasts to my butt to my hair to my back and back to my butt, his hands were everywhere. “I want you, Emma. I want all of you,” he moaned in my mouth in between kisses. I took a break from the kissing to catch my breath and said, “Then take me,” while looking sultrily into his eyes. “Gladly!” he beamed, hoisting us both off the couch. I wrapped my legs around his waist, keeping my hands wrapped around his neck, giggling as he wiggled his eyebrows at me. We continued making our way up the stairs till we got into his room. He opened the door while I pushed it shut, neither of us breaking away from the ongoing make-out session. He located the bed and placed me down on it gently, making sure not to break eye contact with me. With each article of my clothing, he moved to take

Liam’s POV“Good morning,” Emma greeted me as she fluttered her eyes open, trying to sit up on the bed.It was currently quarter past 9 a.m. and I was getting ready to head over to my parent’s place so I could speak with them about this whole grandchild issue. I had gotten up by a little past 8 a.m. and started getting ready so I was pretty much done at this point. I was about to put on my shirt when Emma woke up.“Morning,” I greeted her back with a wide smile on my face.“Why are you so smiley?” she asked, chuckling. “Is there something on my face?” she touched her face to check.“Yes”.“Really? What is it?” she began to panic.“Beauty”.“Ew,” she rolled her eyes, laughing. “God, you’re so corny”.“I know,” I replied, laughing alongside her and wiggling my eyebrows.I walked up to the side of the bed she was on and planted a kiss on her forehead. “Hey, gorgeous”.“Hi,” she blushed. “You smell really nice and look good too. Where are you off to?”“First of all, thank you. Secondly,

Liam’s POV“Is there a problem?” I asked, directing my question to both of them.“Liam, you may be upset with us and that’s fine. But you will not disrespect your father like that. Apologize. Right now,” my mother demanded.“No”.“Liam!” she exclaimed.“Who the hell do you think you are, boy? Coming into my house and disrespecting me in such a manner?” my father asked, standing up and taking gentle strides toward me.“I really wouldn’t be disrespecting you in such a manner if you didn’t give me a reason to, and trust me, you’ve given me a reason to all my life,” I sneered, standing up and facing him.At this point, we were practically butting heads with each other. I was about two inches taller than my father so I was towering over him; him looking up at me and me looking down at him. It was as though we were in a breathing competition with each other.“Get out of my house, Liam,” he growled.“No,” I snapped. That definitely took him aback as he had a look of shock plastered on his f

Liam’s POVAs soon as I stepped out of the main house door, I sprinted down the stairs and into my car. I immediately got onto the road and started heading back home with just one thing, or rather, one person, on my mind; Emma. Since she was taking over my mind so much, I decided to put a call through to her. “Hey there,” she greeted me once she picked up the phone. “Hey, beautiful. What’re you up to?” “Nothing much. I just finished taking a shower now I’m about to dress up. Are you still at your parent’s place?” she asked. “Nah. I left a few minutes ago. I’m on my way back home now”. “Oh. Okay. So how did that go?” she asked, sorry evident through her voice. “As well as it possibly could considering the kind of person my father is,” I sighed. “Are you okay?” the sound of worry now more evident in her voice. “I’ll be alright,” I smiled. “Don’t worry about me”. “Alright,” she said, taking a deep breath. “Hey, do you have to be at work tomorrow?” I asked. “Uhm, not unless a

Liam’s POVIt had been a week since Emma had made her choice to be with me and for this last week, I’ve probably been the happiest man on this earth. Now, our first anniversary was in three days, and I had no idea what to do. Before we got married, I remember while I was having one of the pre-wedding discussions with my mother, she said she would love for Emma and me to throw a party or a ball or something in that regard to commemorate the milestone, while also making sure we appear as a happily married couple in the public light. However, with how things are going in the family right now, with my dad’s sickness and the rift between Emma and my parents, that party that my mother would have wanted us to have just doesn’t seem probable. And to be honest, I haven’t even had a talk with Emma about this anniversary of ours, so God knows if she actually remembers that it’s even coming up or not. “Liam! Where are you!?” Ryan yelled, pulling me out of my thoughts as he stepped into the apa

I didn’t realize I had kept you standing there”. “It’s fine,” I dismissed it with a small smile. “I was lost in thought too, anyway”. “Right,” he replied, his lips drawn up into a tight smile. “Here,” he gestured to my bag that was still slung over my shoulder. “Let me get that for you”. “Oh. Thank you,” I said as I handed the bag to him. “No problem,” he replied, walking over to place the bag down on the couch while I took a seat on one of the stools surrounding the kitchen island. “So,” he started as he came back into the kitchen and took a seat on the opposite side of me. “How’d it go over there at Maywood?” he continued, his eyes focused on mine as he eagerly awaited what I had to s

  • Her Unexpected Love Story    Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Two

Emma’s POVIt was now Sunday, so it was time for me to head back home. As I packed up the last of my toiletries, my mind wandered back to the events of the past few days. The emotional rollercoaster I'd been on since my trip to the cabin with Liam, followed by the heart-wrenching conversation with Tony, left me feeling both drained and oddly liberated.I zipped up my bag and took one last look around the hotel room that had been my sanctuary for the night. After leaving Tony's apartment yesterday evening, I couldn't bear the thought of going back to the home I shared with Liam. Although Liam and I were in a good place, it just felt unfair to me to immediately run back into his arms after what had just gone down with Tony. So, I needed time to process everything, and to gather my thoughts before facing him.As I wheeled my suitcase towards the door, my phone buzzed with a text from Sammy - ‘Hey, girl. What’s going on over there? Call me when you can’I smiled, grateful for her constant

You can't help how you feel”.I felt a fresh wave of tears spill over. “You're too good, Tony. You deserve someone who can love you wholly, without any doubt or confusion”. A sad smile played at the corners of his mouth. “Maybe. But I fell for you, Emma. All of you, complications and all”. We sat in silence for a while, the weight of unspoken words hanging between us. Finally, Tony spoke again. “So, what are you going to do about Liam? You want to be with him, right?”I hesitated for a moment, thinking about my answer, until I eventually nodded my head. “Yes I do,” I sighed. “You know, this is honestly the first time since that day that I’m actually saying it out loud that I want to be with Liam, and it’s so crazy because even after running to Sammy’s house the moment we got back home, I s

Emma’s POV“Oh,” he said, suddenly sounding dejected. “We need to talk,” he repeated after me. “That can never be a good thing,” he chuckled bitterly as he loosened his grip on my waist until he eventually let me go completely.“Can we sit?” I asked, still looking up at him.“Of course,” he smiled slightly. “After you,” he said, pointing to a couch behind us for us to sit on.“Thank you,” I said as I sat down, my eyes still trained on him, watching his every move.“Mhm,” he nodded as he walked over to the couch, sitting down on the spot not too far away from me.“So,” he clasped his hands together after heaving out a deep breath. “What's going on, Emma?”I was silent. Not because I didn’t know what I wanted to say, but I was trying to figure out the best way to say it such that I would seem like a person and not a completely horrible one.I sighed, letting out a deep breath as my shoulders fell further than they already had.“Okay,” Tony chuckled, bitterly too, if I might add. “What’s

Emma's POVSaturday had finally come, meaning that it was time for me to go to Maywood to see Tony. Luckily for me, Maywood from Los Angeles wasn’t far at all, so I didn’t have to leave home early or anything. As I packed my overnight bag, stuffing my charger into it, it dawned on me properly that I hadn’t actually been to Maywood to see Tony before. Since he and I started talking, the only times we’d seen each other here in L.A. was when he’d come over here for business. Obviously, it worked for us, and so we’d meet up, but that has happened just two or three times now. So, thinking about all of this, it was quite sad that the reason I was going to Maywood to see him now was to let him know of my situation with Liam. Stepping out of my room, I bumped into Liam who was on his way back into his room. “Oh. Hey. Good morning,” I greeted him, a bit startled by his presence. “Morning. How was your night?” he responded, sounding rather chipper. “It was good, thank you. And yours?” I ask

Sorry,” he snapped his fingers and rushed back to the living room to turn the TV off. “Alright,” he clasped his hands as he walked back over to me. “Hey,” he hugged me. “You good?” he asked as he released me from his embrace. “Yeah,” I nodded, then sighed. “Just tired”. “Sorry,” he said with a pitiful look on his face. “So, did you get to see what it was that caused the traffic?”“Yeah actually. It was an accident. Nothing too serious though. I mean, I wouldn’t actually know, but from what I saw, it didn’t seem like there were any casualties or anything”. “Okay. Well, that’s good,” he nodded. “Mhm,” I said, making my way into the living room, as I dropped my keys on the dining table. “What was it that you stopped

Emma’s POVFollowing my whole issue with Liam last night and our awkward encounter with each other at breakfast this morning, I think it was safe to say that I’ve been rather uncomfortable throughout my time at work so far today. With the way the air is between us right now, I just feel weird and uneasy. Sadly, this is how I feel anytime he and I have a disagreement or a fight or whatever. The man just has too much of a hold over me and it’s very annoying sometimes – like now. Trying to get work in this moment is mad difficult because I simply cannot get him off my mind. During my lunch break, I contemplated giving him a call so we could work things out, but I decided against doing that for two main reasons. The first and most important reason was that if I did that, even though he would deny it, I would most certainly come off as desperate and probably even clingy. The second reason was that, at the end of the day, he and I would still meet each other at home, and it would be far be

I let out a deep breath because I knew the next words that were going to come out of my mouth weren’t going to be pleasing for him to hear. “I’ll be going to Maywood this weekend,” I gulped. “Maywood?” he asked with furrowed brows. “What’s in Maywood?”“Tony,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. “What? I didn’t get that?” he asked with a look of clear confusion on his face. I sighed. “Tony,” I said, my voice still low but audible enough for him to hear me this time. “Oh,” he responded, his jaw tightening. “And why exactly are you going over there?”Uhm, okay. I definitely did not expect that kind of attitude. “Uh first of all, could you please fix your attitude?” I asked. I mean, I didn’t expect him to be jolly when I mentioned this, but I didn’t exactly expect him to give me a dirty-ass attitude either. “Sorry,” he mumbled. “Why are you going to se
