I wrap my arms over Aiden’s shoulders, I feel his arms encircle my waist, pulling me close. Our bodies press together, chests touching and I can feel his heart beating against mine. Since he is inches taller than me, I have to tilt my head up to rest it on his shoulder. He leans down, his face burying into my hair and his warm breath sending shivers down my spine.

We hold each other like that, not moving. I feel so good in his arms. I don't want to let go. I just want to stay here, wrapped in his arms.

Aiden removes his arms from my waist and pulls away from the hug. I let my arms slide away from his shoulders, and we stand there, looking into each other's eyes. I wonder what is going through his head as he stares at me. I feel like I'm melting into his gaze. He is not just looking at me; he's seeing me, gazing into my soul.

His eyes dart away from me, and I follow his gaze as it lands on the bouquet of flowers on my bedside table. Oh, those flowers.
