Asriel Parker had mixed feelings about the situation he had found himself in once again. He was in an interrogation cube with mirrors as it's walls. The fact that he was getting used to the ugly wooden chair he was seated on and the creaky table that had a recording machine on it was doing nothing to comfort him. He sighed. It was neither the first nor the second time that he was in such a situation. Heck, it was not the third or the fourth or the fifth time either.
It was the sixth time and he was tired of all of it.
He was tired of being the first one to walk in on a bloodless, hairless dead woman with a gruesome number burn on her abdomen and two bullet holes in the head.
He was tired of being the one to call the cops with shaking hands and narrate the same son story over and over again, the only difference being the names. He was tired of losing someone he cared about.A man could go mad with such things happening in his life. The only reason he was still sane was because he had been going for therapy sessions. He could barely sleep at night. The only times that he slept was when took some strong sleeping pills that did strange things to his eye colour but even then, he would wake up with a sweat because of the nightmares.
"Why? Why them?" Asriel asked his clenched hands as if they would give him the answers he wanted _ the answers he needed. "Why not just blow my brains out instead of theirs?"
"Because Asriel Parker, death would be an easy way out for you." Asriel looked up from his hands and to the source of the voice. A brunette man around his age with brown eyes in cotton pajamas and a black jacket had walked in. He was holding a note book and pen.
"Nice outfit, Darral Cooper." Asriel sniggered, pronouncing his name with clear distaste. Darral glared at him, clearly not happy with the sarcastic compliment.
"Nice job losing another one, Asriel Parker." Darral shot back, using almost more venom in his voice when he said his name. Asriel's ‘smile’ immediately dropped and he looked back down at his hands. He had spaced out, looking like he was lost in his own world.
Another man their age had also walked in after Darral. His neat black hair and clean attire as if he wasn't woken up at an odd hour. Even his brown eyes looked bright and alert. But then again, that was just how Andrew Pierce always looked.
"That was low detective Cooper, even for you." Andrew said while dragging in his own chair that he positioned behind Darral and sat down on.
Darral turned to defend himself but Andrew spoke before he could.
"He only complimented your outfit. Detective, how you took it was entirely your choice."Darral cursed under his breath and sat down infront of Asriel.
Asriel and Darral once attended the same school and were in the same class. Their rivalry started when Asriel had transferred to Darral's school and his class. Both Darral and Asriel were athletic, smart and not to mention very good looking and so they were very popular. Because of this, they just silently disliked eachother and saw eachother as competitors.
This changed when Darral started to taunt Asriel and hit him.Asriel never ever reacted to Darral's taunts or insults never fought back his beatings and that pissed Darral off. It was like he craved Asriel's reaction but never got it out just by bothering him so Darral changed his target of his taunts to Ataliah Parker; Asriel and Asaiah Parker's younger sister.
Almost immediately, Asriel reacted and Darral ended up in a hospital for three weeks. After getting discharged, Darral was teased because he beaten up by some skinny weakling and ended up transferring to another school. Asriel ended up getting homeschooled because the other people at the school were all afraid of him and behaved like they were walking in thin ice around him.
"I would say that it is nice to see you again but that would be a huge lie." Darral said leaning on the table across Asriel.
Asriel scoffed. "Like lying has ever been an issue for you."
"Please don't." Andrew said from behind Darral. The two had forgotten that he was even there with them. The two even had a silent non-blinking glaring contest going on.
"So can we get to work?" Andrew added when neither of the two looked away from each other.
"So Asriel, what were you doing at miss Veronica Meyer's house?" Darral asked _ and accidentally blinked. Asriel smiled in silent victory and leaned back in his seat. His smile vanished immediately the question registered _ again, he did not like the fact that he was used to the questions.
"We had dinner plans. When I got there, I knocked but I didn't get an answer so I let myself in. That was when I found her like that in her room." Asriel answered.
Darral nodded. "And how did you let yourself in?"
"The door was already unlocked when I got there." Asriel said almost roboticaly.
Darral looked over his shoulder and tilted slightly to face Andrew who was writing down something quietly. "Is it me or is this getting old?" Darral asked him.
Both Asriel and Andrew seemed confused by his question. "What do you mean Darral?" Andrew asked.
"Yes Darral, what are you insinuating?" Asriel asked, already not liking the smile that he was giving him. Darral laughed lightly and waved a hand dismissively at both of them.
"Don't worry, I will be getting there soon." He said and stood up. He placed his hands on the table and leaned down towards Asriel. "So tell me Asriel, why is it that you have only been dating women that were obsessed with you?"
Asriel was stunned but Andrew was also standing up. "Darral, that is confidential infor_"
"Please stay quiet and let me work mister Pierce." Darral ordered Andrew. With a last warning look over his shoulder, he coldly added. "That is an order."
Andrew sighed and sat down again, picking up the notebook and pen that he had dropped. "Stupid order of seniority. Stupid protocol." He muttered under his breath.
"I'm waiting for an answer mister Parker." Darral said turning back to Asriel. Asriel was too stunned by the new piece of information to answer immediately.
Obsessed with him? What on earth did that stupid Cooper mean by that? "I have no idea what you are talking about."
Darral chuckled nastily. "Ever heard of a Theodore Robert Bundy? He was also known as Ted Bundy."
Yes. Asriel knew who Ted Bundy was. The man was a psychotic killer who murdered women just for the sake of it. Asriel's stomach dropped when he got what Darral was trying to say. He also stood up angrily and moved his face infront of Darral's face.
"Are you insinuating that I killed those women?" Asriel growled. Darral tutted and stood straighter, a cold smile on his face.
"You probably shouldn't get violent here Parker, there are cameras here and assaulting a police officer is against the law." Darral answered.
"You are no police officer, you are a piece of shit that is taking advantage of the situation and pinning the blame on me." Asriel spat angrily.
Darral sighed as if he was talking to naughty child and sat down. "Rack through your small brain Parker. I did not mention anything about you being the culprit so please do enlighten me on why you suddenly think that I am pinning anything on you."
Asriel was basically drilling holes on Darral's head. "What did you mean by obsessed with me?"
Darral whistled as he pulled out two magazines and eight pictures from the pocket of his jacket and threw them across the table towards Asriel. Asriel picked them up with shaking hands. He was the front cover of the two magazines and in the pictures, his head was circled with the red ink from a permanent marker. Asriel frowned, he had a new addition to his nightmares.
"Those and many more were found at the all the crime scenes of this ‘Parker girl killer’. So, care to explain?" Darral said, his cold and calculating gaze on the man in front of him. Asriel threw the pictures back at him and sat down.
"Have you considered the possibility that the killer might have placed them there on purpose?" He asked. Darral smiled coldly again.
"Sticking with denial ehy?" He said nodding his head. "Good call Parker."
Asriel was finding it hard to keep his cool. Oh how he wanted to snap the neck of the man in front of him. "I will not say anything else or answer any more questions without my lawyer."
Darral nodded again. "Of course. You do have the right to remain silent after all. I already got exactly what I wanted though. So that means that you are free to go for now. " Darral said with a shrug, "That is, unless some other evidence comes out."
Asriel stood up. "Everyone is innocent in the eyes of the law until proven guilty."
Again Darral nodded with a smile and waved goodbye to him.
Asriel walked out of the cube, barely controlling his shaking. He needed to see his therapist for an early appointment.

file*******Theodore Robert Bundy (also known as Ted Bundy) was a serial killer who reigned in the 1970s
"I am the most cold hearted son of a bitch you will ever meet." Ted Bundy said during an interrogation after being finally caught.
Ted Bundy was described as a good looking man and others called him kind. So when two women accused him as a killer, they were dismissed immediately.
Ted took advantage of the fact that he looked innocent and couldn't kill a fly to expand his killing spree.
He would lure women to his car by wearing a cast and pretending to need help. He would kidnap them and kill them.
He dumped all the bodies in one place and after a long time, he would go and have sex with the corpse.
He would them keep the skull of the victim as a souvenir/trophy because he could.
"You are always drawn to the crime scene no matter what. The place becomes sacred to you. Its just the way of a killer. Its just the way it is." Ted said with a smile. (Sicko)
Ted even waved at the cameras happily when he was caught. He clearly didn't mind being caught.
Theodore Robert Bundy was sentenced to death by the electric chair.

Selena paid the taxi driver and thanked him for his services before getting out of the car, more like dragging herself actually and walked to the stairs of her house. Luckily for her, it was already unlocked and that meant that her house mate was already up.Selena lived her her closest and best friend Gina Michaels. Gina was also a cop and she mainly dealt with the drug enforcement department of the police station. The two worked at different stations. They had been friends since middle school but separated from each other when they went to different highschools. They met again at the same police college and had been living together ever since."Well, look who we have here. " Gina said immediately Selena walked into the house making her groan. "It's the girl who thought it was nice to just walk out of the house at an odd hour and leave the door unlocked."Selena smiled sheepishly. She had forgotten to lock the door when leaving earlier, again. Gina was sitting on the floor by the wind
Selena walked into the police station and spotted Darral. He was sleeping soundly at the back of the room on the receptionist's desk, his brown hair falling on his handsome face and his hands crossed to make a pillow. He had changed his clothes and decided to come back to work despite Owen's obvious insistence that he stay home.Selena smiled to herself when she noticed some female cops secretly checking him out. One woman who had obviously come to file a complaint was shamelessly ogling him instead of paying attention to what the man in front of her was saying. Selena looked at Darral again whilst walking towards him. She didn't care about the women watching him sleep or the fact that they were suddenly glaring at her, it was their own creepyness to deal with _ she just wanted the recording of the interrogation. Knowing Darral, he probably didn't even let Andrew speak.
Selena sighed for the tenth time in the taxi that she was riding. She looked outside and just stared at the surroundings blurring by. She was still confused as to why she had accepted Owen, Andrew and Darral's request.Andrew was really smart and he was the best analyst they had in their force but despite that, Andrew agreed with Darral's dumb idea. Selena didn't believe that Asriel Parker was guilty as Darral, Andrew and Owen did.But putting Darral's points into consideration and stating Asriel Parker as the killer, it was possible. It could be that Asriel was just putting himself as the victim just so that he would be removed from the culprit list and he probably didn't flee the country because it would be suspicious. Asriel Parker had mommy abandonment issues when he was younger and probably hated women, hence
Selena looked at piece of paper in her hands; the resume that Darral had written for her and given her earlier that morning. Since she didn't have time to read it, she still had no idea of what was written in it. She then looked at the tall building in front of her. She was feeling uneasy about Owen, Andrew and Darral's idea but she had already agreed to do it and there was noway she was backing out of it. Selena March was not one to back out of anything that she had agreed to do, especially a task that would most likely put her in Interpol. With her dreams of Interpol in mind, she walked into the ten storey building in front of her; The manufacturing company known as Gratia Plena. It was a very famous manufacturing company and it offered legal advice as well. A lot of products from the super market were either from Gratia Plena or Timmy's. It was well known that the two companies were rivals but it was quite obvious whic
My name is Selena March and I am awesome!Selena couldn't hold in her grin when Asriel offered her a ride back to Gratia Plena. She was grinning through out the silent car ride, she was grinning at the building parking lot and she was grinning when walking back into the building. She almost stuck out her tongue at Wanda when walking by the front desk.Asriel looked at Wanda's desk and sighed. He walked to her desk and she sat up straighter. A bright smile on her face."Good morning sir Asriel." She greeted cheerily. Selena frowned at her from behind Asriel. It was as if she was a completely different person.Asriel only nodded in response to her greeting and picked up her name t
Selena silently thanked Wanda for her help _ even if Wanda didn't know that she had helped Selena. Earlier, when Wanda was apologizing she had blabbed about how she lived being on the top most floor with Asriel and Asaiah. In the elevator, the highest number was the one for the eleventh floor and since Ataliah had told her that she should ask for Asaiah's office on that floor, she could easily conclude that that was where Asriel's office was as well. The doors opened when she got to the floor. She walked out of the elevator and looked at the boring looking hallway. Besides the flowers in a vase at the far end corner of the hallway, the only other things there were doors. Who was she supposed to ask anyway? She walked forward, and noticed the open office at the very beginning of the hallway. There was a man seated there typing furiously on the computer keyboar
The lady who had identified herself as Selena March smiled victoriously as she walked out of his office. Asriel could basically hear her humming happily. He sat down and smiled to himself_ he could not help but find her determination and wit attractive. It was attractive, not that he was attracted to her or anything like that _ well, that was what he told his mind anyway. He looked at his then organised desk and tossed the document that she was reading _ the document that linked him and Veronica. The desk looked good and the way she had put the sticky notes were also in an easy to understand type of order. A thought struck him and he frowned. She had told him the truth but he knew without any doubt that she had left out a lot and was hiding most of it. All she said was obviously a drop in an ocean compared to the whole truth. He rubbed his temples with a heav
***Selena sat up in her bed with her eyes closed. She was not pleased with the loud incessant knocking on her bedroom door and the fact that she had a pounding headache was not making it any better."Go away!" She shouted angrily, massaging her temples to reduce her headache. It wasn't working in the slightest. To her surprise, the knocking stopped and the silence was followed by the sound of footsteps walking away. She opened her eyes to check on her alarm clock only to freeze. She did not know which room she was in or where she actually was. The room was way bigger than her bedroom in her house. It's design was that of an old yet beautifully maintained room. Her eyes landed on the huge flat screen TV on top of her door that showed the time. Right next to her bed was a small table with a mirror and a stool. The
The hotel where the gala was being held was surrounded by a lot paparazzi photographers and media vans. Selena found herself clinging onto Asaiah’s arm as he led her towards them. She could feel her nervousness increasing ever so slightly with every step.“Just a heads up for you.” Asaiah whispered to her. “I have never attended any event with a partner before so these people are definitely going to follow you around now and then.”“What?” Selena said surprised. “Just for being your partner?”Asaiah chuckled and nodded. Selena sighed when she remembered that the Parkers were famous people. Living with them and seeing them a lot just made it slip her mind. What also slipped her mind was the fact that Asaiah was not the type to stick to one woman and he probably chose not to go with part
Selena hadn’t the slightest idea when she had fallen asleep. She did not even remember getting into a car with Asriel or how she ended up on her bed. However, she did remember that she had followed Asriel to Lanes Street and had somehow been noticed along the way.She also remembered a name that she knew might be connected to Asriel.Larry Smithson.Whoever this Larry was, Selena knew for a fact that he was going to be a major clue. She sat up on her bed and reached straight for her phone in her bag. She smiled when she saw all her missed calls and messages from Darral. She dialled his number and he answered immediately.“And where the hell did you disappear to? Weren’t you supposed to text me your coordinates? How dare you get back to me this late! You probably had so much fun that you just decided
Selena was thankful that Asriel had not given much thought to how and why she had gotten to work so early in the morning. She ran to the car park and got into the passenger seat of a car and strapped herself in. “Follow that car.” She said to Darral who just to happened to be the driver. “I missed you too Selena.” Darral said with a fake frown. Selena put on her seatbelt and threw a sharp glare at him. Just who id he think he was to start messing around when they had an important task to do? Darral smiled teasingly as he started the engine immediately pulled out of the parking lot and got on the road. Staying four to three cars behind Asriel’s car, they followed him until he stopped in front of Plato’s restaurant. “Could he be stopping for a meal this early?” Darral asked. &n
Asriel stretched his arms and back as he walked down the stairs of the house to the living-room. Because of Emmanuel’s therapy sessions, he had missed three days worth of appointments, paperwork and reviews. Knowing Asaiah, he probably took the fact that Ariel was not breathing on his neck as a chance to slack off. He knew he had too much work to do.Deciding against having breakfast at home, he walked out of the house. Because it was quite early, Asriel chose not to wake up Zach from his well deserved rest. Selena on the other hand did not deserve any rest after getting him kidnapped from his own room.As he walked to his car, he pulled out his phone and dialled Selena’s line. To his surprise, she picked up on the first ring.“Hello and good morning sir.” She said cheerily. She even sounded wid
"Will that be all?" The waiter asked Selena and Gina as he finished writing down what Gina had just ordered. "Yes, that will be all. Thank you." Gina said smiling while Selena just nodded. The waiter bowed his head. "Very well then." He turned to leave but stopped and stared at the flowers in the vases that were on each side of the door as if he had seen something displeasing. Gina and Selena watched him in confusion as he muttered to himself angrily and started rearranging the flowers. It only took him two minutes to finish his task after which he smiled like he had just won the lottery and left quickly. The flower arrangement did not even look any different from the way it was initially. Gina rolled her eyes. "What a perfectionist. The flowers do not even look different."
Selena looked around Emmanuel Scofield's living room in awe. It's main decor was flower vases and paintings. There was a large portrait of Emmanuel's family. His wife and three daughters had bright smiles on their faces. Emmanuel was holding a sleeping baby boy and was smiling too."Mr Scofield's house is beautiful, right Zach?" Selena said to Zach who was seated on the couch in the same room. When he did not respond, Selena grinned at him."Zach, do not be such a cry baby. I only beat you once and yet you are acting like I am the worst person alive."Zach glared at her. "You promised to not speak of that to anyone.""And you promised to be a new friend of mine." Selena said with a pout and her arms crossed. "So friend, isn't Emmanuel's house lovely?"Zach sighed and looked away. He was stil
For the third consecutive night, Asriel woke up feeling cold and sweating at the same time. He was breathing heavily as if he been running in his sleep. He glanced at the digital wall clock on top of his door and realised that he had only slept for about an hour."Damn it!" He said as he slowly got out of his bed. He hated over working himself but he hated sleeping more, especially if it meant that he had to deal with the same nightmares over and over again. He walked out to the balcony and stood at the edge while staring off into space. He sighed, suddenly regretting the fact that he had skipped another therapy session with Emmanuel. Most of the time, Emmanuel would call him and find out why he skipped a session or just force him to come all together but not that time. Asriel was not even sure if he was relieved or worried.
Selena plopped down on her bed after walking in. It was just a simple task of reading through business emails and cancelling some meetings but it was still so tiring. If she kept on being an office lady then she would end up going out of shape and Andrew Darral and Gina would make fun of her for the rest of her life.Asriel, Asaiah and Ataliah obviously did more work than her but still managed to keep themselves in shape so she was going to do so herself – after some shuteye of course.Selena almost fell off her bed when she heard some really loud knocking on her door. The clock on her table showed that it was eleven PM."Come in." Selena called while rubbing her sleepy eyes and yawning. The door burst open and Tracy danced in right after. Yes, she was literally dancing to a tune that was probably in her mind, seeing as she had no headsets or headphones on.&nb
"No." Asriel stated firmly without looking up at Selena. He had the annoying habit of not giving her or anyone else his full attention. The only one who was ever able to grab all of his attention was Asaiah– and that was probably because he had to keep an eye on him.It had been a week since Selena started working with Asriel but all he ever let her do was sort out files and recite to him his schedule. Such was an obstacle in her investigation. Maybe if she had more access to his life then she would perhaps gather a little more information about him and his connection with the case."Sir," Selena said as she sat down in front of him on the guest chair. He still had his eyes on the laptop and it was starting to annoy her more than it usually did."With all due respect, I am tired of you only giving me these tiny tasks that you probably used to do yourself before you got yourself a new assistant. Do yo
