Kate’s POV

When Alpha Miguel said he would make sure that I do not feel unsafe wherever we are to meet.

I didn’t expect he would rent out an entire restaurant for us. This only makes me feel more

paranoid. His car had come to pick me up as promised and to avoid giving the maids something

to gossip about. I met the driver halfway as soon as he informed me he was near.

I blinked at the exquisite design of the space. Isn’t this too much for a mere date?

“Why? Don’t tell me you aren’t used to things like this.” He cut into my train of thought.

I coughed in shock. I didn’t realize I had spoken out loud. “It is not about what I am used to. It is

what the people will end up saying.”

Miguel shrugged. “I did this because you didn’t want to be seen in public. Would you have

preferred my manor?” There was a twinkle in his eyes.
