“The dinner went well, but you didn’t eat much,” Sawyer shrugged, walking ahead of me to the room.

“You didn’t feel like talking to me first before planning a mating ceremony?” I grunted, and he barely slowed down to look at me.

“You were fine with marking me. You were even going to mark me right now. So what is wrong with the mating ceremony? I think it’s about time that I tell the pack members their alpha king has found a mate, the best one,” he reached the bedroom door and held it open for me, making me hiss at him as I walked inside.

My body was burning deep inside, my fists clenching.

“We are not sleeping on the same bed, are we?” I instantly stopped when I saw him get into the room and head straight for the bed.

“Why not? We are mates,” he shrugged, suddenly taking off his shirt. His abs were even more prominent than I remembered them from the last time. The cuts in his muscles made him look so ripped. I turned my head away and sat down on the couch.

“I will sleep on th
