Chapter 86

Farren's Point of View

He plopped me down inside one of his SUVs. Locked the door before I could get out. I might have been in his oversized clothes but the playfulness caught me by surprise. Warmed the colder spots in my heart. It shone a light in the dark and made me realize there might be hope for us.

For this relationship.

Camilo had a softer side to him. Something I had thought impossible. Wherever we were going, I didn't care that I was only wearing the stupid outfit I had on now. Because it was with him and no one would dare say a word whilst I was around him.

Shuffling around the car, Camilo opened his door and slid inside. His grin was infectious. Devilish. I scowled at him. Tugged at the bottom of the shirt to show him that I looked like a peasant and not his mate. I might have been too happy to care about what I was wearing but I didn't want him to know that.

"I can't go out in public like this," I whined. Tried to keep the cheer out of my voice. The smile off of my face.
