I asked her to give me every detail of how she got close to Chris until they started dating. We both sat at the edge of my spring bed and she started narrating...

“Chris started making advances on me 6months ago at the grocery shop when we first talked. In the beginning, I ignored but he insisted on getting even just my name.

Two days later, some roses were delivered to our door with a small paper which read

“ for you Courtney from Chris” tagged on them.

I found this very strange but took the flowers anyway. As days went on, I received more flowers and gift baskets but he never showed up until a month ago.

It was about 6:00pm when I heard the door bell ring. I peeped through my window and saw a guy standing there but couldn’t see his face. I ran down the stairs and when I opened the door to my greatest surprise was Chris.

I just looked at him speechless for a couple of minutes as I knew not what to say or how to react.

For a moment I was all trembly and my entire body went numb. It’s true I always thought of him as I was already comfortable with receiving gifts and flowers from him.

He asked if he could come in and I nodded yes without uttering a word. He was dressed in a black pair of jeans which was tucked in his boots, a shirt and a hat over his head and held a bouquet of some red roses.

He handed the flowers over to me as he moved towards the couch where he sat. I thanked him for the flowers and sat not very close to him.

Long story short, we started dating a week later and today is meant to be our first official date she ended.

I turned to a small clock which hung on the wall in my room and looked at the time.

“It’s 3:00pm already” I said to her.

Look, you’re make up is all ruined now and you still have a date to attend. “We have to get you fixed all over again so you can go for your date”I continued.

Saying this, I pulled a stool which stood close to my study table and asked her to sit so I could help fix her make up. In about 20mins, we had her face totally cleaned up and just applied very little make up enough to make her face bold.

Few minutes after we finished her makeup, We heard her phone ring and when she picked up, it was Chris. He had called to find out if she was set for their date.

After the call, Courtney gave me one last hug and left my place to hers where Chris had to come pick her up from.

About 20mins later, she heard a knock on their door. She immediately knew it was Chris and hurriedly opened up.

Chris was dressed in a black suit, a white shirt and black shoes. He looked all official and held a small jewelry box.

When he saw her, he lust himself looking at how beautiful she was. “Babe, you look stunning.” He said after looking at her for over a minute.

He handed over the small jewelry box to her and said,

“Happy birthday Courtney. I hope you like what I got you.”

She opened the box and it was a beautiful necklace with her name customized on it. She turned to him in happiness and gave him a warm hug. “Thank you babe, I love it” she said.

He took the necklace and placed it round her neck. This gave her an even more glowing look.

He took her by the hand and walked her to his car.

Chris drove a Toyota Corolla which very few people

used around their neighborhood. Anyone seen with this car was said to be “wealthy”.

As they approached the car, he quickly opened the door for her and waited till she got in, then he closed the door before moving to his own driver’s sit.

He drove off through the narrow quiet roads of their neighborhood into a beautiful street which was about 1hour drive away and pulled over close to a very tall beautiful building.

He went out of the car and over to where Courtney sat and opened up the door for her. “Here we are babe” he said to her as he helped her out of the car.

He held her by the hand and they both walked into the building. The eatery was on the very first floor and they walked in, Courtney was amazed by how beautiful the place was.

It looked way prettier inside than it was from the outside. The tables were dressed in well designed red clothing and the chairs were all white.

It had beautiful gold curtains with small white patches. The waitresses also looked very pretty and all wore beautiful smiles.

There were very few people there to eat though, but Courtney noticed a table of two which was already very well set but no one sat on it. It looked different and so unique.

As she was still standing there wondering to herself why that particular table looked special, one of the waitresses approached them and offered to walk them to their seats.

To her greatest surprise, the waitress walked them to that same table and offered them seats. Chris waited for Courtney to sit first and he sat after her.

“This place is indeed beautiful” she said to Chris with a broad smile on her face.

Chris said in a happy tone. “I’m happy you like it babe. I chose this place specially for you”.

While they were still talking, she heard someone singing a birthday song from her back and when she turned around, she saw someone holding a birthday cake with her name on it.

Soon, she heard musical instruments play and a huge crowd followed joining in singing of the birthday song. They all held balloons, of different colors and gift cards.

She was dumbfounded by the joy in her. It was her first ever surprise party and this made her cry.

She didn’t expect any of this. Normally, she always spent her birthdays with Judy and they never did much together.

Astonished by all this, she turned to Chris and gave him a French kiss. This had never happened before despite Chris’ efforts. Chris held her tight and kissed her even longer.

Everyone cheered and now, the party was on.

It began with the cutting of the cake, then the gift cards were handed over to her. Food and drinks were served by the waitresses and everything was going on so well.

Courtney was very happy but remembered that there was one thing missing.

It was Judy. She wanted her to be part of that moment because they did everything together.

She told Chris she wanted to call Judy to join them but he kicked against it. He said everyone there was his friend and that she could make them her friends too.

This made her sad and she explained to Chris that Judy was her best friend and that she couldn’t be totally happy without her because they spent all her past birthdays together but he still declined and somehow lured her into not calling her best friend.

They ate, drank, played games, and danced. Courtney also met and made new friends with some of the guys there.

At about 8pm, she told Chris she was tired and wanted to go home. But he told her it was still too early and made her drink even more.

She drank so much that she could barely move. She was so drunk that she puked on herself.

She danced recklessly and finally fell to the chair and slept off.

Chris really didn’t care much about how Courtney felt, what she did or how she behaved. Rather, he went on having fun with his friends and took photos of her and videos of how she acted and they laughed over them.

Courtney finally woke up after about 2 hours of sleep and though was very weak, found herself surrounded by everyone who was present at the party including Chris.

They were all laughing and making fun of her for getting drunk uncontrollably and puking herself.

She was so embarrassed by what had happened. She struggled, pulled herself up and ran out of the place.

Chris ran after pleading with her to let him drive her home. She was so weak and so accepted the offer.

He helped her into his car, got in and drove off.
