CHAPTER EIGHTY-ONE: THE HIDDEN TRUTH

The bodies of the dead fighters lying all over the place was fair warning, and no one dared. Even the Guard did not so much as stir where they stood.

“I must say... I have been too kind with everyone... here!” Elliott yelled, his words punctuated with deep breaths, and every syllable stamped with a downward sweep of his index finger. “The pack will have no say in this case anymore. I will judge as I see fit, and as I like.”

No one said anything. They all remained silent, Alisa noted. They had seen that nothing would save them from Elliott, nothing but death.

Elliott took in a deep breath and steadied himself before continuing.

“You, Doctor King. Come forward. I will hear the truth from your mouths today.”

The doctor was stunned, and it was evident in the way his eyes bulged out of their sockets.

“I do not want to make a second call, King.”
