Lies

"Alkira," Hailey called in shock.

"Vic… Victor," she muttered. Tears filled her eyes instantly.

Alkira cursed Hailey inwardly for interrupting her, right at a crucial moment. But then, she coated her anger with a frightened expression. She hastily stood up and pulled her skirt downwards.

"I'm so sorry, sir. I'm really sorry," She mumbled with a bowed head and ran out of the office.

Hailey just stood there watching her leave without uttering a word. Tears trickled down her face. So Victor had been interested in Alkira all these while, she thought.

"I must have been a joke to them," Hailey mumbled.

"Why are you crying?" Victor asked on seeing the tears trickling down her cheeks. He got off his seat and approached her.

"It's none of your business you lying bastard," Hailey cursed and stormed out of the office.

"Hailey," Victor called and attempted to go after her, but the door was banged in his face.

"Awww," he cried out in pain as the door smacked his nose. But Hailey paid no heed to h
