8.Meeting room

The remaining distance to the hospital was very silent, Ronnie didn't have the gut to say a thing, he was afraid he would turn the scapegoat for Kevin's anger, so he chose otherwise and he was thankful it wasn't such a long distance, though to him this three minutes drive felt like eternity.

Kevin majestically walked to the elevator as Ronnie half running followed him in. It really seemed like Kevin's aura at the moment shun many people, especially those lady nurses who would always approach and flirt with him today were nowhere to be seen.

The little children, once they glanced at him ran behind their mother's back to hide while a few fearful one's started crying.

Not even with a knock, Kevin entered his grandfather's ward, and without a word, sat on the sofa at the farther end of the room and raised his face to his grandfather, maintaining eye contact.

Ronnie could feel a headache coming, this two people have never had a normal conversation just like how a grandfather and a grandson usually do, this is as far as he could remember,and anytime they shared a room, there is always quarreling accompanied, either about this or that.

Where are your manners young man, don't you know how to greet your grandfather, where did you get that attitude from? What's with the scowl and cold aura around you, I guess you must have scared people away, grandfather Fu thundered angrily.

Ronnie and butler Garry internally rolled their eyes, 'as if you are an better, you guys are so similar to each other, one a replica of the other,' 'they thought to themselves but they dared not voice it out.

With this attitude I bet you won't ever get any woman, grandfather Fu added, and this reminded Kevin of that woman, I am giving you only one week and of by then you won't have gotten yourself a girlfriend then trust me you must go with the one I choose for, no compromise on that.

Since the old man was done with his lectures, Kevin didn't even wait to be dismissed, he just stood up, adjusted his coat and walked out as the old man's glare followed him, boring holes on his back.

This brat!

"I will be on my way too," grandpa, Ronnie said with a bow before following Kevin out."Back to the company, I got some stuffs to deal with. "

" Call aunty Lily and tell her to tell Bella to get her ass back to work now!" Kevin thundered, anger still evident in his voice, "and for the board meeting, we are not reshuffling it, inform Jason that I request a meeting with the board of directors and the rest of the employees in exactly thirty minutes. "

Ronnie gulped the saliva that was stuck on his throat, how the hell did he even become a friend with a person like this, this was just one one of the instances when he would curse having Kevin as a friend, weren't friend supposed to be comfortable with each other, but why was he feeling nervous and tensed up instead.

The already cold room turned freezing, everyone in the room was all tensed up and the silence accompanied made everyone feel so dense, they were all waiting for their boss.Though at times there were such urgent and abrupt meetings, but today's felt so different, like everything was not that very well.

On the head side their were three empty chairs, for the CEO and his two assistants, though normally they were two but since there was another intern working as the assistant to the CEO, obviously her chair had to be reserved.

"Do you think Bella came to work today, I really haven't seen her?" Ryan whispered to Jane, he had came very early to work, and since he was the receptionist, he was bound to see everyone that went in and out of the company, but not once had he seen Bella, and so he had presumed that she must have used the CEOs elevator that connected the parking lot to his office.

"No, she didn't come to work today, and I don't even know what is the reason, hope she really had a good reason for skipping work, otherwise I don't even know what would happen to her, I don't want her to have a clash with the management already, they would make life unbearable for her,"Jane whispered back.

" Bella, here is your bag, I didn't know how to call you because I don't have your number, Kevin just called and is requesting for your presence in the company in ten minutes, twenty minutes are already over since the company called, I think you should hurry up so as to make it in time which am not even sure you would," aunt Lily said without a break the moment Bella got out of the cab.

"But..."

"No buts, just hurry up already otherwise you might get in to trouble, aunt Lily cut her shot as she pushed her back in to the car."

"Seems like you really got a lot on your schedule, the driver said," he really pitied her so much, she hadn't even taken a break yet, "here is my card anytime you might need my services again in the future, I am just from the neighborhood," he added as he passed his card to her.

Bella picked up the card and threw it in her bag, she didn't even read what was written on it.

"Which company miss?" he asked after he reversed the car, he had heard that she had to go to a company.

"JB Inc. It's Bella, you can just call me Bella, I won't mind."

Steve, the cab driver smiled to himself, at least they were no longer strangers as such, even acquaintance to him was okay at the moment.

"Call me Steve!"

"Can you drive in five minutes, I am really late," Bella pleaded.

Steve calculated in his mind, it wasn't possible, normally it should be a twenty minutes drive but seeing the urgency attached to this, he thought there won't be any harm.

"Buckle up," and that's how Bella got their, just exactly five minutes, but still she would take at least three minutes to the upper, she would still be late, but never at least she had tried, she thought to herself.

Just as she ran in, Steve was conjured by the traffic police, obviously there's no he would make it without the traffic rules, but still there wasn't any harm, he would solve this later, at least he had saved someone in need.

Just then, the door opened, and in they walked, Ronnie on the left side of Kevin, with piles of files on his hand.

The already cold room became as quite as hell as the devil himself entered. The directors were already freezing to death as they watch him walk to his seat. Everybody knew him, he's the ruthless king of the business world, make a single mistake and face the devil's wrath.

Kevin was not born this ruthless the world has a full hand I'm turning him from a cheerful gentle boy that he was to this ruthless cold-hearted man that he now who was.

Jason, Kevin's personal assistant trembled as he saw the look on his face he was quite aware of that low the look that screamed of hell to whoever had made the devil angry. pregnant dark clouds could be clearly seen accompanying him giving him a more dark aura.

Without a word Kevin sat on his chair at the head, table there was a pin drop silence as everyone stared at anything but him,waiting for their doom.

Staring behind him they wanted to see the lady whom rumour had that she was the CEOs girlfriend after she was employed as the CEO personal assistant right after she had joined the company, which was really unheard of,but she wasn't.

Just before the meeting could commence the door opened, and in she ran,sweat dripping down her face giving her a freshened look, and as always she was puting on some casual raged clothes, and worst of all she had a cap on, with her back pack on her back.

Everyone stared at her like she was a ghost,some pitting her, no one has ever entered the meeting room after Kevin was seated, in fact the normal time was always everyone had to be seated fifteen minutes before the boss could walk in, not like there was such a rule, no! Nobody just wanted to be on the bad side of the boss.

"I... I... am sorry am late," Bella stuttered more to herself with her head bowed. She wasn't that nervous earlier when she came in, but just the eyes that were staring on her made her make an impromptu apology. Those eyes just made her feel guilty, like they were communicating something to her, some a compilation of pity and remorse and some just a sorry look.

"Of course you should be, how dare you interrupt my meeting, and what's that you are puting on, they are more like a beggars clothes than an employee of my company.There are no exceptions in the rules, so don't think you can just put on anything and come to my company with just whatever you want,and seems like you really didn't read the rules, I hate tardiness and immodest dressing," Kevin roared with anger, just how dare she.

Bella felt really humiliated, she felt like crying at this moment but she dared not, she just remained bowing.

"Am so sorry sir, it won't happen again," Bella said remorsefully, though in her mind she couldn't pinpoint exactly what she had done, wasn't he the one who asked her to take a day off, so how so was it her fault but still so she those were just her thoughts.

"Of course it won't happen again," Kevin said as an evil smirk tugged at the corners of his lip, and when everyone saw this look, they trembled. Everybody knew this look very well, he had most of the time had it before giving punishment to the workers at fault, and seems like today luck wasn't on her side.
