Opening up

Seraphine had no idea how she finally managed to bring her emotions under control and walk over to Kayden’s room. Getting on the bed, she covered herself with the blanket hoping she would be graced with sleep.

All that thinking and agony caused her to feel exhausted, and there was nothing more she wanted at this moment other than shutting herself down. Maybe she would be feeling better the next day.

But sleep didn’t come to her or let her heavy mind rest. Someone came once, asking her about dinner, but she declined, knowing ‘Seraphine’ was going to be there.

More than her, it was Kayden whom she didn’t want to face. Confronted with him will cause her to break down. She needed to calm down significantly before encountering the man.

She didn’t know how long had passed before she heard footsteps in the room, most likely belonging to Kayden.
