This did make Seraphine happy, considering how Sharon in the novel had no one to rely on. 

There was certainly fear inside Seraphine that slowly she will be drifting away from Sharon, but she was aware that was foolish. The bond she had with Sharon was beyond friendship.

As they went outside, Seraphine noticed how the ladies gathered under the shade. While having some snacks, they discussed on recent affairs while gazing at their surrounding at times.

Seraphine moved over with Scarlett and Sharon to take a seat there. While Sharon got into a conversation— even Scarlett had small talks here and there— Seraphine wore a pout on her face while she stared at the men.

They were indeed lucky.

If only her gender was different, she wouldn't have to sit here, bored and envious. Seraphine bit on the biscuit in her hand while she thought that.
