Chapter Four

Athen took only a minute to bring Hugo down, Hugo was shocked to see his growth he thought to himself that Athen wasn't an ordinary human he was a real warrior since birth. "You have became a warrior" said Hugo getting up from ground, Athen was cheerful, his hard-work finally paid off.

"What I have to do now" asked Athen to Hugo, "Now you just rest and wait for me" said Hugo.

"Where are you going" asked Athen, Hugo didn't answered to his question and went out of the house. Whole day passed it was already evening when Hugo arrived.

Hugo had brought clothes, and all supplies they required to reach Shogo, "We are going to Shogo" said Hugo "Prepare yourself", Hugo had planned to make Athen see the kingdom of Shogo and get used to it, Hugo and Athen prepared their bags and decided to head out next morning.

Although it was 4 days of journey to reach Shogo, but Hugo decided to take longer route which would take them about week to reach Shogo he didn't wanted to be seen by knights of Shogo as he was still been looking by Balak and his men.

Next day Hugo and Athen started their journey before the sunrise, Athen was excited, he could feel his blood gushing through his veins, he could feel the new power that was inside him. Hugo was also looking confident and bold just like he used to as a general, both of them was perfect duo who was brought together by destiny to slay evil.

"What's happening there" asked Athen pointing out in front direction, "Seems like someone died" answered Hugo, they both went to check themselves and saw a lady who was killed by a spear, "Who did this" asked Hugo to villagers, the villagers told Hugo how one knight came and killed her because the girl didn't accepted his proposal to marry him.

 Athen and Hugo was furious, "Where we can find the knight" asked Hugo, villagers told them the knight lives few miles away in forest with one more knight. The knights was assigned there to guard people from barbarians but rather saving they were killing them.

"We should kill them" stated Athen, hearing about all this had made Athen wanting to do something right for villagers and dead girl, "We will attack them in night" said Hugo, with his experience Hugo perfectly knew at night the enemy are more vulnerable. Both of them waited for night before heading in the forest.

"You know about the danger right?" Hugo asked looking at Athen who seemed to be lost in his thoughts, "Yes I am ready" said Athen quietly, "What are you thinking? Are you afraid?" Hugo asked, it wasn't the fear that was inside Athen's head.

" I am not afraid, I just don't know when will all this end" said Athen "This catastrophe has no end to it", Hugo didn't knew that Athen was thinking about all this, he didn't knew the answer to what Athen just said, "We have to do what we can" said Hugo patting Athen's head "Come on it's time we should head out".

It was night, Athen and Hugo both headed into the forest, they both were being careful not to make any noise as that would be fatal for them. After walking for sometime in forest Hugo noticed a hut with horse outside few metres ahead, "I think that's where knights are" said Hugo pointing at direction of hut, they both decided to get close to hut so they could attack and kill them without much struggle.

Hugo headed first, he was very careful with his movements, for Hugo it wasn't a big thing to kill his enemies, most of his life he spent fighting in battles and killing many barbarians making him perfect for this. Athen seemed to be relaxed as well, he followed Hugo with careful movement. Hugo and Athen reached the hut, they could hear the knights talking inside, the knights was talking about the women that one of them killed in afternoon, Hugo and Athen was raging with anger hearing them mocking the girl who they killed. 

Hugo and Athen took their position, but luck wasn't in their favour, the horses outside had spotted Hugo and Athen and started to move itself vigorously making noises, the knights knew something was wrong, not knowing what was causing the horses to make noise one of the knight opened the door to check. As he moved his head ahead to see around his head chopped off fell on floor, Hugo chopped the head of that knight with a single blow, the knight inside knew it was an attack.

Hugo told Athen to go inside and kill the other knight, Athen quickly got inside the hut, Athen was filled with anger and fury, "How can you kill innocent people" shouted Athen in anger, the knight went for his sword but Athen was much quicker, Athen moved his sword and used all his force, result was two knights dead one with his head chopped off and other was split into two pieces from head to toe.

Hugo came inside, he had faith in Athen and was right, they both managed to kill the knights without getting harmed, Hugo was searching the hut when he heard a noise outside, suddenly he noticed there were three set of armour, it was too late to realize that there was another knight, Hugo and Athen suddenly heard horse's neigh, they both went out to see a knight riding in horse, "He got away" said Athen, Hugo panicking said "It is bad, it is bad", Hugo knew the knight would report this to Balak, the knight saw them while riding away, "We need to go quickly and hide ourselves" said Hugo, Athen who didn't understood why Hugo was nervous said "It is all good we killed the knights, only one got away", hearing this Hugo couldn't control himself and he shouted at Athen "Do you know what that one knight is going to do, he is going to tell Balak about us and in no time there will be an army heading down our way to kill us and I can ensure you we won't be getting an easy death", Athen then realized the terror of Balak and started moving behind Hugo.

They both first went to the village and asked villagers to vacant the village, Hugo explained them everything and asked them to leave the village for their own good, after this Hugo and Athen went up in forest, climbing mountains was the best way to stay out of knight's sight, Hugo and Athen after a bit later found a place to stay for night it was a open grass field covered with pine trees from around.

After eating their dinner, Hugo got lost in his thoughts, he was still thinking about the knight that got away, Hugo closely knew Balak he knew what danger Balak possesses to him and Athen, it's not gonna be good he thought, Hugo then looked around and saw Athen who was sleeping, looking at him Hugo thought he had to do everything to help Athen achieve his dream, it would still take time for knight to get to Balak, till then he and Athen will be far away from knights but that wasn't the end of problem. Although mountains was keeping them safe from the knights but the mountains had another thing to offer.
