“Oh my. Walk slowly, child.”

Anna groaned from the pain that shot from her head down to her legs and after a few seconds, she raised her head and stared at the older woman before her. She looked slightly older than her mother-in-law but they shared the same height. “I’m so sorry. Are you okay, ma’am?”

“Anna?”

She looked at the woman weirdly. How did she know her name? “Do you know me?”

“You’re all grown up now.” Before she could say anything, the woman pulled her into her embrace and hugged her lightly before pulling away after a few seconds. She looked Anna over from her head down to her toes, her eyes glistening in happiness. She grabbed Anna’s palms and gazed up at her. “Look at you now. I’ve seen you on TV but seeing you live is a whole different feeling. How have you been, dear?”

But Anna frowned and gently pulled her hands away from the woman, looking around the hallway as if waiting for someone to save her. “I think you got the wrong person, ma’am. We haven’t met before.”
